ɢا§คɱєя Gossamer simply stared back at him for a few long seconds. Quietly. Her expression was thoughtful, and also....a bit worried. As a matter of fact, it almost looked as though she were hugging her legs rather than resting them. Whoever...whatever had taken over the boy just did something again. She wasn't used to this. People with powers she could deal with. Beings on the same level of magical....no, a greater level of power than her, she wasn't used to. "That wasn't me..." she replied quietly. She didn't know if she even wanted to bring up that he had come and let her out of her cell. She already had two other people in her mind...she didn't want someone else inside her.

He glared, studying her face, and then seemed to relax a little bit. The music in his mind regained its rhythm. "What do you want?" he asked flatly.

ɢا§คɱєя "I want...I need help." she replied quietly after a moment. "Whether it's by someone actually helping me, or if it's by me having a bit of...insurance. You know Joker has Rosie. And right now I don't...I don't trust that he won't do anything to her. I'm also under the impression that there are very few heroes out there that have the ability to help her. Not that I'd put my faith in any of them actually doing anything for her if they could."

He was silent for another beat. "... So I'm either supposed to help you or be your bargaining chip." It wasn't a question.

ɢا§คɱєя "Basically." she replied with a small sigh. "I know you hate me with a passion. And even if you didn't I still wouldn't expect you to willingly help me. Trust issues and all. As for the bargaining chip, well, you're not the Bat Joker's fixated on. So I'm not sure how good of one you'd be. Which...is why I was going through your head. Figure you must know something about the real deal."

She got no response this time, and the cell made a return to complete--and somewhat judgmental-- quiet.

ɢا§คɱєя The small smile once again returned to Gossamer's lips. "Thought so." she purred. "I'm really not ready to try and pick through your head again. At least not right now. So...feel free to point out any flaws in my plan, call me names, what-have-you."At the moment, she was trying to do as little as possible. She was trying to absorb what little magical energy was left in the room. THEN she could try to go for picking brains. Or...put him to sleep and go back to her old place and pick up a few things.

"No need," he told her, his low voice surprisingly even. On closer inspection, he was even smiling very, very slightly."I'll help."

ɢا§คɱєя Gossamer blinked and stared at him for a beat. That was obviously something she wasn't expecting to hear. At least...not just like that. Then she narrowed her eyes at him a bit, her expression becoming skeptical. She had admitted that she had trust issues. "You'll help?" she asked, her skepticism showing through just as clear as it was on her face. "Just like that?"Was he just saying that so that she'd let him go and he could try to run? He probably was...

The smile grew a very little bit; it was a supremely unnerving sort of expression. "Just like that," he confirmed.

ɢا§คɱєя Gossamer just stared at him. One small part of her wanted to believe that. It wanted to trust him. But...the majority of her didn't. At all. Jade was trying to push his two cents in, but she ignored it. Tearing the kid into pieces and leaving it at Jokers doorstep WASN'T going to help. Why would he help her...just like that...after everything she'd put him through? And that look on his face... Actually...would he be smiling like that if he was trying to get out of the situation? Probably not. So...was he really being honest? Or was he just waiting for her to let her guard down? After another moment, she pushed herself onto her feet again and walked up to the door of the cell with her arms crossed. The look on her face made it clear that she was having a hard time believing that. "Alright....other than the obvious. What do you want in return?"

"I want you to let me go, no strings attached, and I want you to do it now," he responded promptly, "Rosie doesn't have time for this."

ɢا§คɱєя Gossamer stared at him, but only for a second this time. She mouthed something under her breath, and the metal bonds around Terry's arms and legs practically melted off of him. She took a step away from the cell, and the lock clacked open by itself. Her guard was clearly on full still, but her stance was nonthreatening. Despite how much part of her wanted it to be. Absorbing the other magic was a good idea...at least as far as keeping Jade under wraps.

He calmly got to his feet and walked out. "I'm going to leave, now," he said curtly, "And you should, too. We'll cover more ground if we split up. Look for abandoned pie factories and the like-- Wherever he is, it'll strike you as the punchline of a bad joke, it'll be practically condemned, and it'll be in Gotham." He tossed her something. "If you find him, don't engage. Press that, and wait for me to get there; I'll do the same with mine if I'm the one to locate him. My job is to keep his attention; your job is to get Rosie out of there." He turned and started to walk out. He'd only taken a step, though, when he stopped and spoke without turning around. "Oh, and when you are getting Rosie out of there, don't try to talk her into it. Just put her to sleep and take her. Trust me on this: if he hasn't hurt her physically, he's gotten to her mentally. It'll be better to sort it out later in a safe location. After this is over," he added, his voice darkening, "We are going to talk about what happened in that warehouse." Without further ado, he slipped around the corner.

ɢا§คɱєя Gossamer stared at the spot where the Bat had disappeared. She wanted to go after him, but she forced herself not to. Since, she knew it wasn't her who wanted to stop him. Carefully, she glanced down at the small device in her hand, then sighed deeply. He sounded...sincere. Her mind was going through all the things he could be doing to set her up. But...maybe...maybe things would turn out alright. For once... She moved back int other room and sat down in the middle of the room, crossing her legs. She began muttering something under her breath, trying to absorb what was left of the magic as quickly as possible.
