I makes all FFs look bad. really you guys are missing the point to X-2 . . . . it doesn't make all FFs look bad . . . you're just looing at the surface of the game instead of it's intent. Which is sad and makes me realize how stupid America is becoming. It's starting to be looks are everything . . . stare

In my opinion, the point of X-2 was to boost sales with an original idea based around a Final Fantasy game. And yes it was... original, but it came at a price. In order to get attention they used innuendo that couldn't have been more obvious, a rather disappointing plot extension (especially at the end of the game) and characters and scenarios that wouldn't have been out of place in a Charlie's Angels movie.
I liked FFX. Not to a huge degree, but it was an interesting break from the normal games since it was on one disc, the plot differed greatly from previous installments and most obviously, the battles were turn-based for a change. The turn-based system was interesting, since it allowed you to think moves through, but I vastly preferred the ATB systems just because it was blatantly more fun and challenging to have to think quickly in order to win battles.
The problem is that in changing to X-2, Squenix provided the fans with a much faster system that was too fast and too full of icons to control very well. As a result, players found it exceedingly hard to adapt to the battles and found themselves dying time and time again.
Plus, they got rid of the good old victory fanfare.

10-2 is really good i think it brings alot of life to the characters! its also really funny i think. Makes me laugh every time razz

Which is sad and makes me realize how stupid America is becoming. It's starting to be looks are everything . . . stare so all of a sudden you bring America into it just to raise a few eyebrows.. chances are that people who post here will have played all or at least some of X-2, and to assume that they're judging it on looks is jumping to such a huge conclusion that the conclusion itself covers the entirety of this page, and this guild. Then prey tell us, what IS the point to X-2 that we're all missing?

10-2 i was so disappointed with. It makes the whole FF series look bad if you ask me. I mean come on you go from kickass FF 7,8,9,10 and come up with a 10-2 with 3 girls shaking their a** in mini skirts. I mean they are animated for christ sake. It would be better if it was not titled Final Fantasy and was NOT made by Square Enix. I hope they learned to never do that again.

I think 10 is better just becuase it's the original. They made 10-2 becuase the first one sold so well. I liked 10-2 don't get me wrong but I still think X is better.

I am alright with X-2, but I don't like how somethings are.
I can understand they made it since the ending of the orginal was a bit too sad. Also in the end of that animation they show it was open to a sequel in the first place...
I didn't like the music much, expect for the two real emotion and 1000 words. They were alright. But I also hate the face that there is no order to the story. And that there has to be 100% percent for a good ending.

I like both games equelly. though this is a bit off topic, I still say Final Fantasy VII was the best Final Fantasy game made so far and i cannot wait for the re-rlease of Final Fantasy VII for the PS3

Oh dude, I agree with you. They should've never made X-2... I couldn't play it for more than an hour. All of the characters were so much worse than X, and... I think the whole point of the game was to give the girls new outfits, and as you said, to make them sluttier. Blah, it was terrible... and I really liked FFX... =/

I really didn't mind the story. But it was just that almost everything else was a little messed up. They need to get the story stright. I didn't like the fact there were only three playible characters as well. Which means so switching party members. That sucks. And none of them are guys which really sucks even more. I like having at some playible male characters.... because most of the time they look cool. I didn't really like the idea about the dressspears as well. They should stick to one right?
This might not be compleatly on topic. But I heard somewhere that they were going to make a X-3 which is a Rikku verson of X-2. But I guess they just canceled that project

The fact that there were only three playable characters made it even harder to put up with, and the dress spheres were way too glamourized, and added to the fact that there was too much going on on the screen at the same time. Sure, it was a unique idea, but the only justified reason they could've given for its release was to further the plot, which they didn't do very well at all. And I think I would storm Squenix headquarters if they made an X-3.

A lot of people here are just looking at the clothes they wear and they're asying it sucks. That whole game was based on the fact that Yuna wanted to change and the fact that she wanted Tidus back. Wanna know why I think American's are obsessed with how things look (I'm American too btw)? The people who sort out our food and everything throw away the foods that are shaped funny. Tomatoes that aren't round, are thrown away. Why? Becuase we think they look funny and therefore it's not edible. When most people buy things, do you really look at how it runs and everything? What's inside of it? No. You look at it. If it looks cool, you buy it. People base most opinions on how something looks. Not by what it actually is. If a car looked really cool and had THE worst engine, I bet you someone would buy it. I'm just saying that people looked at the game and thought it was bad instead of going through the plot and analyzing it. There's an example in this very thread (i'm not bashing on you btw): IveKinneas I like having at some playible male characters.... because most of the time they look cool. People go by looks. Yet again people . . . these girls are not sluts. A slut sleeps around . . . none of these girls do that. Their outfits don't define them at all.
