William Nicholson, Douglas Coupland annnnnd a few more.... like Phillip Pullman.
I confess... I have read and liked the Twilight books... did so in the last year of 6th form... I remember reading bout them online and then thinking 'why not?' they're not my kind of books though, mushy girly romance stuff. Prefer Coupland, and fantasy/scifi stuff, but not too fantasy.

I read lots too. Can't sleep if I haven't read. I go through heaps of books a week, they're not always very thick though. The books that I like best on the top of my head is the 'Singer of all songs' plus other books in series by Kate Constable 'The Castle in the sky' by Diana Wynne Jones 'Harry Potter' is somewhere down the list. There are a whole heaps of books I like, mostly fantasy smile and they're always changing....

TheLostVoid Does anyone know of the publisher the "black library/games workshop" they write some really good sci-fiction and i have 10 of their books and love everyone Got any of the Horus Heresy series, perchance? I've got the full collection up 'till Fallen Angels and basically everything aside from the two Dark Angels novels and Battle for the Abyss was superb. I've been buying the Time of Legends novels for Fantasy, specifically the first books in the Nagash, Sigmar and Malekith trilogies (only the first of each is out right now, unfortunately) and the Nagash and Malekith books have been excellent. Finished Nagash the Sorceror, now a little over halfway through Malekith and all I can say is that Gav Thorpe is actually better with Fantasy than he is with 40k. Anyway, moving right along, much of what Hunter S. Thompson wrote is in my favourites list: the Rum Diary, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, the Gonzo Papers, etc. I have read every (and watched most) of Shakespeare's plays, and I'm firmly on the bandwagon of folks who think he was the greatest writer of the last thousand years bar none. Lord Byron is another I'm rather fond of, and John Milton's Paradise Lost is nothing short of stunning. Huxley's Brave New World and Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass are old favourites as well, and I've got a certain fondness for almost any work by Oscar Wilde, H.P. Lovecraft or Ernest Hemingway.
