Alihi groaned. Her time to rest would have to wait. She turned around for the second time.
"... Look, if you REALLY want to fight each other, be my guest! Just do it away from here. The last thing I want to deal with is having another incident like what happened to me!"
She eyed a branch, wishing she could just grab it and knock Saturnos and Ashnard out cold. Of course, she was still too weary from being beaten up to even walk faster than a limp.

Alihi frowned but complied.
"Man, if they were in MY army, they wouldn't dare acting like that to me..." She muttered under her breath, walking back for the third time.

"Can someone... fill me in? I was so tired after we went to get Alihi that I crawled into my den and slept for a little bit... I'm assuming nothing major has happened?" Lyre poked her head through the door, blinking violet eyes.

Are you saying you don't remember that date you promised me?!

"There's no hurry...that's all I want, is to see you safe." Vika hugged Synra tightly once more, holding her for a long moment. "Now...you just sit here, okay? I'm sure there must be a lot on your..." Vika trailed off for a moment as she held her, contemplating...yes, it had to be true. After what she'd...they'd been through, after what Vika had seen, after...what she felt for Synra...there was absolutely no doubt in her mind that these morphs, Synra at least, were just as alive as herself and the others. "I'm sure there's a lot on your mind, Synra. So while I talk to the others, you just relax, okay?" Vika released Synra from her grasp and smiled at her to soothe her before standing up.

She turned and walked to Aiden. "I don't know how much of that you were listening in on," she said quite loudly, intentionally, to get everyone's attention, "but that should be proof enough for you. The morphs...they're no different from us. Emotion...isn't that what makes us alive? I have feelings for her and her to me...you saw that. And if you tell me that wasn't real, then you're worse off than the ones you're deadset on destroying."

She then turned to the argument that'd broken out while she was speaking with Synra. "And you," she said, addressing the entire group, "What do you think you're getting done arguing between yourselves like this? If we're saving the crew, then we'll get nowhere like this! You two," she directed her speech to Saturnos and Ashnard specifically, "You two are certainly not helping things at all here. You can either assist, or you can leave. I don't think any of us will think any worse of you if you did, after the scene you just made."

Then to Alihi. "Alihi, wasn't it....? I'm glad to see you're okay. When I first saw you out there, I thought the worst..." Rei: "And you...you were the one who started the chaos there. It took a lot of courage to do that. If not for you, we probably wouldn't be here right now..."

She took a step back, addressing the group as a whole. "Look, I...I don't really know what's going on here. Maybe the Dar- I mean, Madriana's methods aren't right, and the morphs are just her slaves." She shot a glance at Synra sitting by herself. "But...but I've come to see, from personal experience, that the morphs don't have a choice in the matter. We want to free the crew, right? And Madriana's got them locked up. But...the morphs are different. They've...Synra, she's done nothing wrong other than take orders. And I can't hold that against her, because she didn't have a choice, she didn't know anything else! But I've given her something else: potential. I love her; I know that what she did wasn't her choice. But I'm giving her a choice now, and you can see what's happening to her. The morphs are not evil, they just don't know any better! And killing them like this isn't right, it's cold blood. It's not just Synra; I've seen a few of the others display personality. They're no different from you and me, they just need to be given a choice."

Vika sighed and walked back across the room, taking a seat beside Synra once again and placing Synra's icy hand in her own. She put her other arm around Synra's shoulders, pulling Synra closer to her so she could rest her head against Vika's shoulder. "It's going to be okay, Synra," she said softly. Then, back to the rest of the room, she spoke loudly. "We need to figure out what we're going to do before Madriana strikes again. Who leads this group?"

I'm...I'm so confused. I don't know if the Dark Mistress is right, or if these people are...I just want Synra to be safe. I just...I hope I'm making the right decision in trusting these people.

Stupid Sub-Human.. Ashnard thought. I can't help if there are no battles to be had.

He then looked at Aran. Upon studying him, Ashnard knew that Aran would be no match for him. "I've already told you," he said. "If I don't rule this world, I'm sure as hell not letting some girl and her gang of faceless freaks."

Alihi nodded once at Vika. "Yeah... I'm glad to still be alive... A-and I'll lead if you guys want me to. But not now..." Then she went over to an unoccupied bed and fell asleep instantly, too tired to stay awake any longer.
