Yuri sat and motioned for the two to sit as well and faces Ade "What does my daughter mean byt being your lifemate and what are your intentions towards her?"
Gali blushed in embarrassment, muttering to herself "Dad.. be nice..."

Ade sat next to Galiena and placed a wing around her. "It is fine, Galiena. Your father has a right to ask me these questions." He smiled at her and turned his attentions back to Yuri. "Sir, I am a Carpathian. I have lived long in this world with only one hope to save me from the monster that I am. I have searched for the woman that is the light to my darkness, the other half to my soul. Your daughter is my other half and has saved me from a fate worse than death."

Yuri blinked "Ok... now you want to explain that again in a way I can understand. Whats a Carpathian? What do you mean monster? How did my daughter save you from this?"

"Of course, Sir. Carpathians are a race of people, much like demons are. Carpathians have many powers, such as the ability to call down the lightning to strike our foes or to heal ourselves in the earth while we sleep. These powers come at great costs though. We cannot be out in the sunlight. In the noontime hours our bodies become as lead and refuse to do our bidding. We also require blood to survive." Ade looked at Galiena, wanting to see her reaction to that.
"Our males pay the ultimate price for this power. As they age, they lose the ability to see in color and to feel. After they lose their feelings, the only thing left for them is honor and the rush of a kill. A lifemate restores these lost elements to us, giving us back our souls. Without a lifemate, a male may succumb to the call of power and feeling in a kill and become the undead, or vampire."

Gali blinked and tried not to react to the blood thing, though she vowed to talk to Ade about that later.
Yuri frowned "I see. And by being your.. lifemate.. what kind of life will she have with you?"

Yuri smiled "While that might assure her Papa... can you assure me that while you treasure her you're not going to smother her spirit and being out of her? My daughter is very headstrong and spirited.. and she's not meant to just be a housewife and have babies.."
Gali blinked in shock at her father's observation... she thought they both were convinced that was the way she was supposed to be...

Gali shook her head "I haven't... quite agreed to it yet Dad... I'm still getting all my facts and stuff..."
Yuri tilted his head and observed his daughter then smiled "Of course Gali... we're not rushing you to a wedding yet..."
"Papa was..."
He rolled his eyes "Papa will deal or he'll be sleeping on the couch for awhile.."
She wrinkled her nose "Eww..."

Ade nodded. "I have no intention of doing so, Sir. I would never do anything to intentionaly harm Galiena." Ade laughed at the comment. "Do not think that you'll be putting me on a couch." His laughter was warm and teasing, which shocked him. He hadn't truly laughed in ages.

Gali blinked and blushed, having forgotten for a moment her dad was in the room "Sorry daddy..."

He shook his head and eyed them both "Let me break this to your Papa but I'm sure he'll want to talk to you later. For now its late... you can escort Ade to the door and he'll see you tomorrow.."
