Makenna's purr drove him to madness. Vibrating along his entire body, those long repressed pools of energy within him opened again, sending liquid pleasure coursing through his veins. Even Samsara had never ilicited this type of reaction within him. A'Hallei searched Makenna's mouth for a brief but hot moment, breaking only when the blood was wiped free, and he was left to think about what just occured. Eyes widening, the fright overcame him again, though he was locked to Makenna by his arm.

Silence then was the best response. A'Hallei was flushed, looking quite obviously 'hot and bothered' Makenna pushed the hair from his face, and absently he leaned into the other's hand. A glance outside told him the sun was setting again, nightfall would be quick to arrive.

Yes, A'Hallei always had a soft spot for the shifting of colors. From the piercing of A streetlamp by drops of rain, the drift of the moon through clouds, and the halo it casts on all under its light, the shift of emotion in one's eyes, or the setting of the sun, all could hold the lad in rapture for hours. A'Hallei held the smaller boy to him, it being his turn to comfort the other in his embrace. Such moments like these did not bring the fear love normally had over him.

As the sun fell beyond the horizon, A'Hallei looked down to see Makenna had fallen asleep in his arms. In a bout of tenderness, he lifted the smaller boy with suprising stregnth, considering his apparent frailty, and laid him to rest on his cot. A'Hallei tucked in his friend, and, casting one last glance to the moon rising, shed his armor and clambered into bed, curled up like one of Autumn's withered leaves.

A'Hallei awoke to the steady patting sensation on his head. Who was poking him? He was cold, very cold, and felt as though he had been submerged in a pool of icy water. Trying to swat the offending hand away, he was shocked to discover his hand becoming covered in moisture. Blood? Opening bleary eyes, a droplet of water landed right on the green iris, causing him to flinch.

The damned roof was leaking.

Glaring up at the ceiling, he could see the sourse- the hole they used to ascend to the ceiling was open to the rain, which was snaking along the ceiling until it hit a divit, and dropped, right over his bed.

Sitting up, A'Hallei groaned to learn he and his blanket were absolutely soaked in frigid water. Fortunately, he was not unprepared. Ascending to the roof, A'Hallei brought the lumber and tools he procured from his home and set about constructing an overhang and gutter system, so before long, the water ran off to the side of the house to the floor below.

A grand achievement, yes, but the boy had gotten to a point of numbness, his fingers were unresponsive, and he was shaking- quivering like a chihuahua in alaska. Grabbing his tools, A'Hallei rather ungracefully tumbled to the balcony, sniffling noticibly. Laying there, in the rain, he stared up at the sky, too cold to further move.

A'Hallei allowed himself to be pulled in without protest, eyes staring blankly upward. As Makenna's worried face came into view, he focused on that, ah, he was the reason he fixed the roof. The boy tried to swaddle him in a blanket, but his wet hair and clothes quickly soaked through the absorbant fabric. Thankfully, they had some to spare.

The next thing that entered his mind was the sight of his friend removing several garments of clothing. Blinking, A'Hallei's eyes roved down the boy's torso, following that beloved red streak down to the waistband of his pants.

...Wait...

Makenna was speaking to him. Take off his own clothes? Why? Ah...to remove the source of the cold, of course! But why was Makenna also undressing? Was he going to give him his clothes? A'Hallei vaguely remembering the presence of towels in the house.
Nodding, The boy willed his unresponsive limbs into action. Slowly he peeled his shirt from himself, exposing just as milkwhite skin, criss crossed with scars, faintly green and deep. They lined his torso, in a patten vaguely resembling a pattern, as though he had been whipped Other scars- rings along his arms, and dots, all done from tests and electroshock therapy. The skin between the tight wounds was smooth and silken, as though his skin were made from the expensive fabric.

Draped in his spider web hair, A'Hallei looked to the floor, once in his life embarressed by his looks.

The boy was cold and damp, reminiscent of pulling a fish free from a mountain lake and holding it. Quivering all over with barely supressed shivers, A'Hallei clung to Makenna, embraced with him on the cot, wet hair hanging over the edge. Slowly, as his chilled flesh was pressed to his friend's warm skin, and the temperature transferred between them, he began to warm, his own body slowly kicking back into gear. For a while his shivers intensified in an attempt to raise his body temperature, until they abated, A'Hallei being warm enough now to no longer need them.

Curled under the fluffy blanket, his breeches were still mighty soaked through, the damp fabric sticking to his legs, preventing him from getting truly comfortable.

A'Hallei quickly slid out of his pants and into the shorts and sweats, climbing back into the cot and under the covers, reaching out and poking Makenna's leg. After finally becoming warm, he didn't want to reqrelinquish that so quickly.
