Miraldae simply laughed at Lior's concern. "It's two against one. Even if he's a vampire, we could beat him easily." he said, with a grin. "That is, unless you're not confident with your abilities." he teased.

Kain started putting his items away again. He looked at the girl and he felt another onslaught of emotion. He was bored again, and not in a good way. He wanted very badly to go and fight something. He looked at a sign nearby and noticed it pointed in several directions. He sighed and headed towards the western mining center.
He ran into a few shades on the way, but they were no match for his talons. He changed his hands back to normal and walked further down the path. After a time he spotted a few people further down the path. He smiled at the thought of having someone to talk to. "Hey! Do any of you know where this leads to?" He asked walking over.

"It's alright. You didn't miss much." Miraldae replied to Ian. "What's your name anyway?" he asked before he noticed Kain walking towards them. Another person? he thought to himself. How many people am I going to have to deal with today? "This leads to here." he said out loud. "This is the western mining center, as far as I can tell. Though I will admit I don't have the best mental map of these caves." he out loud.

Lior nodded vigorously. "It leads to the gems that are buried down here." she said, motioning for him to follow. She stopped at the edge of the path. "The best ones are back further." Lior said sweetly. She totally disregarded Miraldae's joke and noticed Ian's arrival. Lior curtsied when he bowed. "It's good to see you again." she said, in her normal tone.

Kain seemed to think for a moment and then he smiled kindly. "I see. I didn't know." He felt something come up behind him and he turned around quickly pulling the sword out of his pack, he slashed the shade before it could touch him. It shrieked as the blessed weapon went through it and disappeared. "Sorry about that." He said smiling almost idiotically.

"Don't worry about it. We just had to dispatch some a minute ago." Miraldae said with a small chuckle, indicating the small scratch on his cheek, which was still bleeding a small bit. This man's sword skills did impress him a small bit though. Kasofi rattled in its sheath, causing Miraldae to put his left hand on it to silence it. "I don't like the smell of that sword, Miraldae." Kasofi muttered in his head, causing Miraldae to eye the weapon. "That's a nice sword." he said, tilting his head slightly toward the sword.

"Nice to meet you, Ian." Lior said, tilting her head slightly. "I'm Lior." She decided not to give him her last name, for she didn't tell Miraldae and she thought he would be the type o get on her case on that sort of thing.

Kain looked carefully at the blade as though confused. "Really?!" He asked. "I just remember picking it up a few... I don't know... a few years ago, maybe." He smiled again and then he looked completely serious. "I've got quite a few weapons." He dumped out his pack again, weapons of all kinds and sizes falling out of the small bag. It seemed highly impossible that all those weapons could be held in such a small bag. Kain looked at the weapons strewn about and picked up the axe. It was a deep red color and radiated an evil aura. "I got this from a demon I killed a while back." Kain said and put it back in his bag. "Had to see a priest about getting its power sealed. Still didn't do the trick though."
He picked up the scythe. "This one, well, not sure what this one does, have yet to find out." He put it away as well. He picked up the bow and quiver. "These are elven made. I can tell from looking at them." He put them in the pack. He picked up his dagger, it was icy and cold to the touch, and almost transparent. "I think I got this from and ice spirit." He put it away as well. Finally he got to his favorite weapon, or at least, one of them. A furious looking double bladed sword that could be pulled apart as two separate blades. "I think these have alternating powers. One is fire, the other is wind or lightning or something." He put them away.
He looked at the hold blade again and reached into his pack, pulling out the only sheath that met the same length as the blade. "This one seems to be good at killing these things. I'll keep it on me." He tied the sheath onto his belt and smiled again. Then his eye twitched and he glared at them. "Who the hell are you people?" He asked annoyed.
(( He's a bit bipolar. It's a curse that he has on him. ))

Ian blinked and stared at her neck for a few seconds then yawned...<Ummm...There wouldn't happen to be anything to eat would there?> He asked his stomache growling...

Lior noticed Ian staring at her, so she smoothed her hair down around her neck. "Nope. I don't have a clue." she said, continually looking at Miraldae.

"My name is Miraldae." he replied quickly to Ian as Kain began to pull weapons out of apparenly a magical backpack. The story about the axe made him perk up slightly though. So he could see a priest to have the power of an evil weapon sealed? Except that it hadn't worked for him. "Get rid of that sword, will you? I don't like it." Kasofi growled in Miraldae's head, still rattling in its sheath. "I'm Miraldae." he replied to Kain's question, slightly confused. He had just been speaking with them as if they were friends, and now he seemed to be angry at their presence. "Actually shades are creatures of darkness, so that sword with the lighning powers might be more effective then a holy sword." Miraldae said, tyring to persuade Kain to switch weapons so Kasofi would shut up.

Kain was still glaring at them with his arms folded over his chest. Suddenly, as soon as he had become angry, it faded away and he looked confused again. "What? Really?" He reached in his bag and pulled out the double bladed sword, scratching the back of his head in confusion. "Hmmm." Kain seemed to be thinking for a moment. He looked at Ian and somehow knew that he was a vampire. "Hold on a sec." He reached in his pack again and pulled out a potion bottle filled with a deep red liquid. "Here drink this." Kain walked over and gave it to him." I keep all kinds of things in my travels. Never know when I'll need them." He said smiling, his long white hair getting in his face.
Kain took the holy sword out of the sheath and put it in his pack, putting the lightning blade in the sheath instead and placing the fire one back in the bag as well. He looked at the pack. "Can't even remember where I got this bag from though. It barely weighs anything." He seemed amazed by it.
