NOT sure how true it is...
Quote: @rika- when your hatchling only has like 0.2 days to live it becomes a neglected dragon, But since they have such short time to grow up when they become a neglected dragon its probably like super hard to get enough clicks to get them to become adults.
And here's a scroll with one:

Another possible quote from another site:
Quote: I was wondering: How do you get the neglected/sick dragons? (I don't want one, I was just curious.) The description said that it had been mistreated as a hatchling or something like that. I think when you let a sick hatchling that luckly didnt die grow up. Its a strange breed and Im an not an expert, but it does sound logical.

There's plenty of emergencys saved at the 0.01 mark to prove otherwise. and 0.2 days is plenty of time, people would notice if it was that.

littlekittzy I'm currently experimenting with a hidden purple egg. It has 1 click and 0 views and is sick. If it is still alive around the 3 day mark, I'll start getting views for it then. That's what I did with a skywing only I waited until the last day then unfogged it and gave it as many views as I could. It didn't work, but again, I think there is some random luck involved. Quote: Wow! A lot of brainstorming going on in this thread! I had a little convo. the other day with a guy that has a neglected. He wouldn't come right out and tell me how to get it, but he DID say that it has absolutely NOTHING to do with making it sick/soft shell. It definitely has something to do with the amount of views/u.views/clicks it gets. I'm gonna try just giving my new pink egg one click per day until the last minute. Probably won't work, but hey, ya gotta start somewhere, right?! A certain amount of views seems to be the most common theory so I'm thinking that is probably it. And don't mind me. I've been stalking this thread ever since it was started. XD Only posting til now. I've only tried with two eggs so far. A skywing with the theory in the first quote, and a purple that was abandoned with only 22 hours left. I kept it until it had like .6 days left, then I tried giving it as many views as possible and that didn't work either. Now that I've got pretty much all common eggs, other than trying to breed some alts, I'll have room to start experimenting more.

But don't some eggs/hatchlings become neglected around the middle of the week, not the end?

Since I have been working the Emergency Section we have saved at least 6 neglecteds. Most turn at the .02 time remaining but I did see 1 that turned with .24 left in time. All the ones I have SEEN turn have been commons such as red and plant. I am not sure why some change and some do not. The stats look the same as any other of the countless hatchlings we have saved. I really think it is just a matter of luck just like breeding for an alt.

And, how many views did it have when you went to save it?

~♫~ ~♫~ I really have to doubt what bubbles said. Almost all my hatchlings are "grown" up on the last day and I do not have any neglected ones.
TJ will not delete those. Don't be silly. If you post anywhere but the DragCave forum, how can you hunt you down? I certainly didn't use the same username on this site.

Just scroll back through the Emergency thread and see for yourself. All have been hatchlings not eggs.
