Akiko looked confused "Bastien-kun hurt....because Akiko play" she said walking her tail still tucked hoping he wouldnt hurt her back. She didnt know that this was not the way of the elves but the way of the wolves still commanded much of her brain

"Did you mean to?" Bastien asked, attempting to explain it to her and picking up the pace. The party could have already started by now.

Bastien saw Akiko's ears droop, even if their speed made it harder to spot. "What's...wrong?" The elf asked between gasps of breath.

"Don't" Bastien responded, his voice half comforting, half hoping. They were already nearly there. Byt time she responded they'd be about to enter the castle.

Alex finally got out of the parched desert. He wiped some sweat off his forehead with his arm and relaxed a bit more. He gazed around the field. Yorston was just across it. It was a large field, but no matter. He had walked greater distances. "I can't wait till we finally arrive."

"Have you ever been to the falls?" Lillian asked out of the blue. She wasn't looking at Alex for she was enjoying the slight breaze that pulled her long, dark hair away from her face and neck. Black wasn't the best thing to wear in the desert, but whatelse could she have worn? Growing up in the dark, black was natural to her.

He was surprised slightly by the sudden question. "No." He replied simply. He felt the breeze as well and enjoyed it as it passed by. It cooled him down a bit. He started walking through the field. "Why are you needing to go to the falls, might I ask?"

Lillian looked back at Alex for a moment with a half smile. "If I don't check in we'd both be killed." She replied as if it were an everyday answer. She shrugged and watched the grass roll across the ground.

Alex was shocked by the response. He didn't quite understand what she meant by it, but it looked like he was going to find out soon enough. "W-what?" He asked, a bit nervously.

She laughed a bit at his response, for she knew he'd be shocked but this was a little funny. Lillian's dull yellow eyes lowered in thought, wanting to explain, but didn't want him to know too much. Then he would definatly be killed. "You heard me. I must be at the falls by tomorrow or we'd both be killed... I should have told you this earlier, but it didn't quite occer to me untill now."
