In uncharacteristic show of emotion, Kai punched the brick wall. Regaining his controll the next second he signed back, I understand... Thank you. His eye alighted with an evil glint as he turned and dashed out of the alley, heading back toward base. He was going to make sure the Vampire knew exactly what it meant to double cross the family... And he was going to do it slowly and painfully.

Kai entered the Mistress' outer chambers and awaited her arrival. The mistress didn't like to be confided to long, and her cameras would already be showing him on the screens in her bedroom. Kai paced. He didn't like leaving that traitor roaming arund in their underground, but he had to inform the High Mistress first. She would be their first target and it was his duty to see to her protection above all others... He just hated having to wait to be invited in to do so.

Matron Weddow opened the door wide, letting it swing as she strutted back to her throne and sat upon it "What is it Kai?" she asked, a little calmer than earlier.

Taratheil ignored the rude Lolthel that pushed him, working his way down the street to a family store. He put on smile, sighing on the inside Time to collect he thought happily as he walked through the door.

Matron Weddow watched her most loyal of family members, an odd trait among the individually oriented Lolthel. She smiled slowly, her white teeth showing brightly in the near blackness of the throneroom. She started to snicker, then chuckle, soon laughing hysterically. She clamed herself after a few minutes of her mirthe "Kai" she said, almost lovingly, as a mother would "My dear Kai, how you wound me so!" she smiled widely at him from the throne "I wouldn't have been able to control the family if I didn't know everything that happened in the city! Not a being even releives themselves without my knowing! I know of the vampire's treachery, and I plan on turning it to my own advantage..." she said, waving a hand to the doors "Do not fear my wrathe Kai.....at least, not yet" she smiled wickedly at him.

Skie glared at the screen that held a very high priced hit. In fact it was higher than most she had received within the cities limits. She glared at the picture of the light elf she had pushed earlier. She didn't accept hits from just anyone, they had to have a good enough reason to order it done. Otherwise they had to find another assassin. She read over the one who wanted the hit and his reason. Surprise clearly written on her face.

Well it would appear Taratheil D'Antuire, obvious heir to the D'Antuire tittle, had better watch his youngest sibling a bit more closely. And his youngest sibling should be more careful of who he tried to hire. While she had no qualms about taking out a D'Antuire, when it was in her best interest that is. To take out Taratheil and let the next take over the family would be a costly mistake for her. His father was one of her biggest patrons, to take out his favored son would cost her more than she was willing to let go of. She quickly picked up on of the many phones and activated it. "Connect me to Taratheil D'Antuire." She listened for a moment. "Connect me or I add you to the list Lucas." She smirked as she heard silence followed by a ring.

Taratheil yawned as he left the store, the payment due in his pocket and safely guarded by small magics. He smiled to himself and trotted down the street, heading for home and to see what his father had done. His phone rang, an odd occurance, and he flipped it open, staring at the number.
"Hello? May I ask who is calling this number, it is private you know..." he said, slightly annoyed.

Matron Weddow smiled at Kai "No, you will not be punished for this slight, you may go" she waved her hand again, her mouth twitching slightly as she began to grow impatient.

"Hail the High Mistress. Glory and power be her's!" he exclaimed, saluting her. Turning on his heels he left the throne room, heading straight to his spot out in the woods. He needed time to clear his head and think. It was worrying how the Mistress could just sit on such information, but he trusted her with more then his life. He trusted her with hers.

"Only if you enjoy breathing." She said and hung up the phone. His father would understand that his son now owed her a life debt. She had basically given him back his life by informing him of the treachery. Better still his father would make sure that he honored that debt when she called on it.
