"Oh, of course. I'm Hue, Hue Clover." Hue regarded this man with significant interest, especially considering his sudden burst of emotion. He had heard of Fey who had left the courts, but the reason was never good. He could only hope his new acquaintance wasn't one of the ones who was removed by force... "How long have you been in Delmor?"

"Hm... About four weeks maybe? I don't keep track of time anymore..." Chen replied in a half bored tone, not noting how Hue seemed slightly interested by the imp's history. "Honestly, I wanted to get away from cities; too much damn iron..." He flinched in disgust then smiled and look up at the changeling, knowing it was a mostly reasonable answer and at least partially true.

Epona tried to hug Hue back, but she wasn't sure he noticed. Her eyes had glazed over and she wasn't really seeing the events before her, just going through the motions until she could get inside and sleep for the next few days until Hue came back. She would leave the hut to soak her foot, but come straight back. She wouldn't be able to do any construction until she was well, which would put her behind schedule on her move in. Not that it mattered that much, she apparently had the rest of her life to build whatever she wanted, and she was worth no more to her father than the animals he'd kept as pets. Hell, she was in her natural habitat outside in the woods. Frowning deeply, Epona placed the basket on a shelf and slumped onto her mat. She needed a lot of sleep to recover from all of this...

"I dunno, regular iron never really bothered me. I guess that's the benefit of being rased by humans." Hue was more than a little bothered by the dismissive tone of Chen's answer. I was nearly noon by now and he would have prom appointments soon. "I don't mean to rush off on you, but I've got prom haircuts today. You know how those kids are. I'm chaperoning for the event, too. Perhaps I'll see you there?" Afterwards>>>

Chen flashed Hue a very weak grin and replied, "Who knows? I could use a few laughs...." The imps stood up and nodded at the changeling, "Good day, Hue Clover." With that, he headed back to his loft. There was a lot of thinking to do and it wasn't the nice, easy and simple kind most people have... Afterward>>>

It felt like an eternity. Secret's consciousness was caught in a dark, spinning void. Her memories, her personality... she began to forget everything. Throughout the entirety of the experience, only one thought remained: home. She needed to get home. A small dot of light shone up above her, and everything left of her knew that she had to reach it somehow. As she propelled herself closer to the light, more and more of her burned away. At last she reached it, but at a great cost...
A calm breeze blew through the scorched area of the forest. It blew away a great pile of ash, exposing a small gem, deep purple in color. As if someone had flicked on a light switch, it lit up and began swirling with black smoke. The air throughout the whole city began to crackle with magical energy, and those especially sensitive to magic could hear a faint voice if they listened closely enough.
"Come," it said.
