After Eliza said "apartment" Mouse jumped on her lap and started licking her face. Kat laughed as she watched her little dog attack Eliza with love. Kat got Mouse to calm down and she sipped her drink, glancing back and forth between Conner and Eliza to see each of their expressions as they looked at one another.

Connor nodded in acknowledgement after both of them responded. Amusement was evident in his smile at the idea of 'Clingy Carl' but he stifled the soft laughter that tickled the back of his throat. Seeing her grin, his own smile quirked upward in response. After shrugging, he spoke. "Sounds a bit better than my summer. I spent all of it at a cousin's place in Texas. We didn't really do much though. Just slept, drank tea, and daydreamed." An almost nostalgic smile lit his face. "It was actually rather peaceful."

Eliza coughed after being attacked by a little white monster and laughed. She watched Conner and listened intently as he spoke, then discovered that it was time for her to respond, and she quickly glanced at Kat beside her, in hopes that she would be inspired, but this didn't work out as hoped. "that, seems fun, I guess. I mean, peaceful is nice." Was that enough to carry on a conversation? Eliza could only hope.

Connor shrugged non-chalantly. Taking another sip of his coffe, his eyes fell to a half-lidded state; a habit he'd gained over the summer. Shifting his gaze from Kat, to Mouse, and settling it on Eliza once again, he smiled. Finding that he was fresh out of topics for conversation, he opted to just drink his coffee until somone said something.

[[new person joined! yay! lol. Some people have been trying, but can't follow the rules. He did, though! yay! lol]]
Eliza sipped at her drink some more, and eventually reached the bottom. "Aw..." She muttered after slurping up the last little bit of strawberry. "I'm out." She announced, staring at the bottom of her cup, half expecting more blend to pop up so she could enjoy some more, though she no longer felt thirsty.

Seeing that Eliza had emptied her cup, Connor's gentlemenly nature kicked in. Setting his cup down, he moved to stand just out of the seat and extended his right hand toward Eliza. "I'll fill it back up for ya'." Naturally, his left arm positioned itself against his back and a charming smile crept upon his lips.

Eliza widened her eyes a bit, but she smiled. "oh, no, that's oka, I'm not thirsty anymore. I kinda need to get some grub though. You guys up for food? What sounds good?" Eliza began thinking about the choices they had, and what food she might like to have that night.

Adrian walked into the ice cream parlor with caution; she was still getting used to her new surroundings. Already, she had recieved many stares from her fellow seniors, though they may not have known since her hair covered her eyes for the most part. The new kid. That was her new name, having just enrolled for her first time at Centennial Academy. In a way, she seemed out of place, what with her tight black shirt and baggy black pants. Dogtags hanging loosely from her neck, Adrian stepped up to the counter, her feet dragging slightly against the floor, and ordered a drink from a brightly smiling woman. The smile of this woman, this, elderly woman, seemed to cheer up Adrian a bit even as few words were exchanged. With a nod and 'thank you', Adrian quietly took her drink and sat in a corner, next to the window, as she began to survey the others in the room.
((I just wanted to note that I am a girl... lol my avi seems to throw others off from time to time, I find it amusing ))

Connor nodded and moved to sit back in his seat. "I'm actually not all that hungry." Just as the words left his mouth, he brought the cup of coffee to his lips and took a long drink. It was nearly empty anyway. Seeing that it was, he held the cup upside down for a moment with a risen eyebrow. Standing yet again, he gave a quiet, "I'll be right back," and made his way to the counter. Finding the refill machine, he refilled his cup with more black coffee and surveyed the room whilst it was filling. Seeing a girl who seemed to be new in town, he used his free hand to wave. A friendly smile spread across his lips. [[I'm assuming there're free refills here. XD]]

Adrian was currently watching a particular group sitting not to far from her. She watched as one of the males rose from his seat politely to fetch himself a refill of his soda, turning to wave in Adrian's direction. She gave a quick look around to find that she was indeed, the only person he could possibly have waved to, and so, with a soft hand, she waved back, giving a small smile as she did so. Still, she seemed out of place.
He seems nice enough... I hope some of the others here are friendly as well...

Once his coffee cup was filled, Connor decided to go and introduce himself. Walking over toward Adrian, he stood in front of her with a charming smile - 'twas his nature, after all. An eyebrow rose. "New in town?" His voice was filled with genuine curiousity.

Adrian was starttled at first, scared that the boy would come to her seat. As he did so, she looked to the ground, and as he stood in front of her, she looked up at him with her dark brown eyes, though he probably couldn't see them since her hair decided to play hide-and-seek. Flipping the strands of black hair from her face, she gave the other a smile as she sat up straight, her voice soft, cautious.
"Um... yes, actually... "
She could smell the warm coffee in his hand, soothing the tension that was in her and encouraged her to interact in conversation.
"... you... know this area well?"

Connor tilted his head to the side slightly upon seeing the tension Adrian bore. Deciding to brush it off, he nodded in response. "Yeah." He paused for a moment, unable to figure out why he felt as if he was forgetting something. When it struck him, his eyes widened. "Oh! How rude of me." The same charming smile from previously crept upon his lips and he extended his free hand for a handshake. "I'm Connor."

Returning a charming smile for a charming smile, Adrian kept her eyes on the boy, Conner as he was to now be called. Grasping her hand in his, Adrian gave a firm handshake as she spoke, her voice clearer now.
"Um, it's nice to meet you Conner, I'm Adrian but um, some call me Ian, heh..."

Returning the firm handshake, Connor grinned. This girl's pretty interesting. An eyebrow rose and he chuckled softly. After releasing Adrian's hand, he spoke with the same curiousity from earlier evident in his tone. "What would you like me to call you then?" Whilst he waited for her answer, he took the opportunity to drink from his coffee.
