Kataio laughed and smiled down at her mask. "If she is anything like myself she likes sleeping in, when I finally get to sleep. What's it like having a mask girl to look after? We weren't really picked for mothering skills so everyone is taking it differently."

"Ash is a bit of handful, I'll say that! And she's actually almost a bit too much like I was when I was younger for comfort..." Her sheepish grin turned somewhat fond. "But... she is exactly what I've been needing. She doesn't really care about what happened to me before, she just knows I need her, and that's what matters to her." With a mischievous wink she added, "And she picks on my brother almost as well as I do."

Kataio laughed again. "I guess that is good. Your mask you could almost tell what she would be like by look, mine is so... hard to figure out. I dislike supprises some times." She shrugged and looked at Haisyn with a pleased look. "But I am sure she will be worth it. Maybe I need her more then I know."

"You need help with that?" Silva replied, ignoring her question entirely. He hid the irritation well, his fingers only tightening slightly on his cigarette. "It will take less time with two people setting it up."
She was brave. Just like the other girl had been. It made him want to smirk. A female with no fear was much easier to take advantage of. And he enjoyed taking advantage.
He stepped forward, crouching down next to the little girl and examining her explosives. "Not bad."

Listening to the story Cinder seemed to become mesmerized by Ice's voice. Absent mindedly she popped a marshmellow into her mouth, realizing she was holding the only bag of them she leaned the bag over to Pam, so she could have some if she wished.
As the story proceeded she also pulled her masque up onto her lap and ran her hand across the side. If the story was really frightening she didn't want her masque to be frightened by it, with that thought she gave him another reassuring pat.

Both Shiva and Chae gravitated towards the back. The girl was not eager to throw herself in to any type of attention, and Chae was not one to force the spotlight. The girl seemed content enough to curl up beside her and listen to the story, no sign of unease in her eyes at the warning of fear.
It would not be the first scary story she had heard. Chae and she had read several, including Dracula, Frankenstein and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. They were even now working through some of Edgar Allen Poe and H.P. Lovecraft. While Shiva preferred other stories, she devoured just about anything that was between two covers.

Kaliksa sat down in a cmaping chair near Ice, listening to the story. She pulled Galilee over, whether he wanted or not, and pulled him up in her lap.
Galilee sighed, then leaned back to listen to the story.

I think I got it. The girl gave the ground one last jab and started setting up the bottle rocket. It had to go just that direction, that wasn't a problem...
Fortunately she could hear the story from the other Masque near Ice, since Haisyn seemed to have wandered away. She wasn't anywhere immediately threatening to the fireworks display, though she might catch her after the show started.
She couldn't help but wonder what would happen to Silva after all this started. He was too good to go getting himself caught, she knew that. Might as well give him fair warning, though... She didn't want to be any worse on his bad side than she already was. All hell's gonna break loose when I start this up, by the way. You're welcome to stay and watch, though. I'm sure you'd find somewhere to watch from without being seen anyway...
Pulling Inathe out of a pouch on her belt, she gave him his instructions on where to go and when. After he had carefully picked up his first load of fireworks and went to get in position, she pulled one of those fireplace lighters out of another pouch. She tested it, and crouched down to wait. Just gotta wait for the right time...

Haisyn shrugged at Kata. "Only one way to find out, right?" She dusted her pants off and looked around. "So, do we stay here, head back, or wander around some more? I'm more inclined toward the last, or even the first. I feel like doing something, you know? I haven't been all that useful around camp yet, maybe we can do a mini-survey of the nightlife or something."
After a brief moment her thoughts wandered back toward the earlier topic of conversation. "I'd almost like to meet that Tynan guy, see if I can help you figure him out some more. Well, sort of. Maybe not. Not sure if he really sounds like the type to bring your friends home to, if you catch my drift..."
The topic changed once more abrubtly as she found something crawling across her foot. "There's a slug on my boot..."

Cinder smiled at Ice's comment about the masques and lightly touched hers again. Leaning back she got comfortable and continued to listen to the story, as she listened she looked down at her masque and pondered Ice's words.
"Yes", she thought, "I do love my masque." After those thoughts she wondered what had draw the poor damaged masque to her. She didn't find the crack that distracting but she was sure he had some sort of hurt from it. While the story played on Cinder's fingers lightly played over the crack in her masques forehead.

G_E smiled at Ice. It was true, she was obsessed about the mask sitting by her lap. She bouldn't help it. The moment he'd been placed in her care she'd felt an overwhelming sense of portectiveness. The child that would eventually come from the mask would be hers to care for.
She grinned and petted Bizzy who was currently trying to stay awake. The Hatchi would be an older sister to the child, but she might still be a baby when he showed up. G_E wondered how Bizzy would take that. She wasn't sure but the little girl seemed to be a little... too sure of herself, dispite her size.
Bizzy leaned into Gee's hand and tried desperately to stay awake. The story was interesting but Ice's voice was practically screaming at her to go her to sleep. Not that it was loud, no it wasn't loud. The sound telling the story was very comforting. Sleep...
G_E leaned back in her chair and motioned towards the marshmallow bag. She wasn't very fond of marshmallows. Never had been. She found them strangely entertaining though, watching them burn in the fire almost made her laugh. The way they melted...
She grabbed a marshmallow and threw it in the fire, wondering if the others would mind her wasting them. With a shrug she watched as the white goo began to bubble and turn brown, eventually catching fire and then it burned. It burned until there was nothing left but a charred, black skin like peel.
((I really do love watching marshmallows burn. My mother always hides the marshmallow bags from me, she's afraid I'll waste them all, which I probably would... xp ))

Kata got up to stand infront of Haisyn and straightened out her shoulders again. "Well, if you would realling like to meet Tynan all you really have to have is good night vision." Kataio smirked and lowered her voice a bit. "He has been eaves dropping this whole time. I don't know how much he heard because I can't remember how well he can hear and all."
Kataio moved away from Haisyn a bit and gave herself a good stretch. They had been out there for quite sometime and for most of it Kata was sitting. "I would be up for a walk though. I still feel a little restless. We shouldn't go too far from camp incase we need them or they need us."

Tynan saw them moving and frowned as he found that he could move again as well. He cursed himself and Kata under his breath and stayed crouched low hoping neither of the girls had really seen him. Kata could probably sense that he was in the area but there was still a chance she didn't know how close he really was, he hoped.

Ice paused, looking around. "It grew stronger, feeding off her very soul."

He didn't reply, finding his irritation hard to surpress. The little s**t thought she could tell him what to do, huh? He took a step forward, slamming the side of his hand into the back of her neck in order to knock her out.
He would finish off the fireworks himself.

There was no way to stay on this guy's good side, she decided. But that was all she had time for. She didn't even have time to warn Haisyn before she blacked out.
Inathe saw, though, and fluttered toward the group to try and get someone's attention.

"A walk it is. But first... just to be safe... I'll be right back, ok?" Haisyn started off jogging toward camp to go retrieve Hellrazer, and saw something supsiciously person shaped. She pointedly looked in that direction, but didn't see much more than that as she passed by.
After a few minutes she was passing back by with Hellrazer slung lazily as ever over her shoulder, but if it had been Tynan there, he was gone now. Fine with her, if he didn't want to talk to Kata's friends, that was his own problem. "I'm back! We can go now. Pick a direction."
