((It's OK, I just have to get my computer time before and after school only, so...yea, whenever my parents aren't home.))
Atamia shrugged, watched the birdie until it looked like it was going to fall, then hit it upward, giving it a short few inches off the net and down the other side. "Jump." Atamia giggled at the name of her move. It was a good strategy when the opponent wasn't hitting the ball too fast. The point of speed, obviously, was being able to hit the ball, not hitting it quickly. That was power's job.

Adrian watched the birdie as Atamia hit it back across the net, the plastic end falling in a downwards motion just as it cleared over the net. She walked over to the net, though to everyone else is had appeared that she leaped, and gave the birdie a hit upward, sending flying past Atamia.

Atamia jumped up to let her badminton racket catch it, then slammed it down far behind her so that it was just on the edge of the legal area. Even for beginners' luck, the girl wouldn't be able to hit it. Fate was only barely able to hit that.

It was too obvious that Atamia thought Adrian couldn't hit the birdie. It waas written all over her face for she was relaxed, confident that the birdie would not make its way back to her side of the net. But Adrian wasn't focused on Atamia. She wasn't looked at the way she smiled or the way she was holding her racket. No, Adrian was simply watching the biride, and as it came over the net, she watched it move like a bullet to the edge of the play area, but that bullet seemed to slow down in her eyes when she moved. Adrian had taken a leap back, her racket hitting the birde barley enough to make it to the other side of the net, falling down limply onto Atamia's side. When Adrian looked down, she saw that her foot was barley inside the legal line.

Atamia wasn't ruffled. She bumped the birdie over the net calmly. "Now, catch it. You know you can, don't you?" She flipped a lock of gold hair over her shoulder to pass the time.

Adrian looked up to see Atamia tossing the birdie over with no effort.
Ah... she's good... I'm in over my head...
Heading to the net to retrive the birdie, Adrian herself was surprised at how fast she had sprinted over to knock the birdie up above her with her racket, her body not aching, not giving any sign that she was moving faster than the other players in the room. Giving a smirk, she began to come to terms with her ability as all the peices began to fit.
"Like this?"
The biride was on its way down and Adrian gave a a hard smack to travel back behind Atamia.

"Yep. Just like that." Atamia skipped back to come underneath it, but noted it would hit over the line. She shrugged, and let it be an out birdie. "Only that's the out-line. You don't want to hit past it, or I'm the one who get's the point."

((haha! I went to a comedy club last night. It wasn't as fun as I thought it would be. But still...i had fun cuz i was with my friends yay! Everyone should go to a comedy club.))
Fate watched Reichi from afar. The score was a tie, 7-7. They didn't know what else to do. Fate was getting ready to use a move, no one had seen. Toko turned from his match to look at Fate, "Oh...it can't be. She's really taking this serious."
Her eyes were as serious as ever and she didn't want to lose. Not to some snobby little brat was what she was thinking. It was clear to her that her being as captain meant defeating opponents stronger than her. Reichi served the birdie and as the birdie flew The Captain, Fate began to crouch a little. She placed her racket behind her with her other arm pointed straight the other way.
Ian saw the move and recognized it, "Oh! The silo...Atomic Bomb!? I...I can't believe I'm going to see it for the first time!"
Fate smacked the birdie and as she did the birdie lobbed at an incredible speed. Reichi smiled, "Haha! If you really think you can win with that! I know exactly what the Atom Bomb move is!"
Fate's sweat dropped to the floor at the comment. The move was already exploited and she didn't know what else to do. All she was thinking was about this kid. How did he know that move without seeing it? How can he counter it? How?
The birdie remained in the air lobbed and then quickly dropped down with a heavy glow like an Atomic Bomb. Reichi ran to the birdie and placed his both his hands on the racket as he yelled, "AAAGH!!!"
His eyes with that same color. The birdie was smashed with incredible fury. It quickly landed on the other side. Fate just stood still, with her pose. She couldn't believe it.
8-7! REICHI!
"That's enough. You may stop now", spoke a tall but wide man who walked inside the gym.
Fate changed her position still staring at the floor, "C-C-Coach...Hal"
Reichi's eyes turned back to normal and his voice too, "Huh? Wha-What? What? I...I won?"
Fate responded, "No! It's still 8-7!"
Coach Halber interrupted as he walked to the court, "No! This match is over!"

"Hm? Oh, goodie! That game is over! Sorry, girl, but I'm gonna suspend our game and go play the midget. If he beat Fate, he must be a fun!" Atamia's lack of proper grammar meant she was genuinely excited. And when she was excited, she was even harder to handle. She turned, racket in hand, and skipped off in his general direction. "Hey....Reichi, was it? I wanna play against you." Her arms were crossed; she was decided. Even if he refused her, she'd keep pestering him until he finally did play her. All in all, it wasn't any good to make Atamia wait, because she'd just get better and better prepared to kick your a**, and less and less cocky.

Adiran gave a curious shrug as Atamia dissmissed herself from the play area, mentally taking note of the few rules she had just learned. She watched the other girl walk toawrds Reichi as Adrian turned to stand next to Ian, putting the borrowed racket against the wall.
"What's going on? What was the flash of light?"

Coach Halber turned to Atamia, "Atamia! I will make myself clear now. The tryouts are over. Fate...hand me the list of the new tryout players please."
Fate still couldn't move. Shocked at the score and at the move. She shook off her expression and walked up to the Coach. She looked around at all the players and placed her pencil on the paper.
HANARI HIGH SQUAD ---------------------------
FATE TOKO MAI REICHI ATAMIA
Fate looking around for one more player as the sixth player of Badminton noticed Adrian holding a racket. She just rushed to her decision, "Whatever. We need a sixth player and that kid over there with the long racket is not in our team this year."
The kid in the corner with the bag nodded and left the gym. Ian watched him leave, "Ah! He's leaving. I guess he's not going to join the team this year. But that means there's one open spot left...who--"
"Adrian. She doesn't know how to play much, but...I see something in her. I have a feeling she'll become strong. Real strong too. But that Reichi...", said Fate handing over the paper.
Coach Halber took the paper excitedly. He read the paper and smiled, "Wow. This year is going to be a good year. I can't wait to see the people who are going to face this team. It's so exciting."
Fate's paper... Hanari High Squad!
Fate Reichi Toko Mai Atamia
and Adrian!

"Aw, but coach, it wouldn't be a tryout game!" Atamia pouted as the coach shook his head, and turned to the list. "Oi, Fate. Why am I on the bottom of the list?"
"Because you didn't deserve to be at the top."
"FATE, DAMMIT! I'M THE SECOND BEST PLAYER ON THIS TEAM!" Atamia looked frighteningly serious for a few moments, as if she had actually blown a fuse and was about to start a fight. Then she started to giggle, and then just laugh. "Today seems to just not be my day, then."
((Hope it's OK to take over Fate...she's an NPC, so I thought it should be fine. Sorry. ''>.>))
