Sorrow finished the wine setting the glass on the arm of the chair. She stood up and moved over leaning close to him she whispered into his ear as her arms moved to embrace him softly; "You shine a white light upon a blackened soul, and for this short time i suffer knowing that light will fade until she comes for me. However, even then I will suffer; the key lost forever in my death."

Sorrow leaned back her hands falling to her sides. "I am so sorry......." Sorrow backed away from him and just turned to dive off the edge of the yard.

Her wings opened and she glided down to land. She put on her cloak to hide the tears as she walked to "explore"

Sorrow had walked an hour till she quit crying. She hated this feeling, it made her weak, pathetic, and overall it was embarrassing for her. She had no idea if what Merril had said was true, and she couldn't confirm it until she was conscious. Even then its not like her mother was alive to tell her if Merril was right.

Then the thought of where she was at was like a slap in the face. She was in the land of the dead, but without a name she had no clue who to look for. She could go asking every lighting demon, but half if not all would probably want to kill her now.

Sorrow's anger began to build at this insult. "Why don't you run along and play before I teach you all a lesson in humility." Sorrow noticed the speaker was holding a huge sword that was probably stolen considering it was for an adult.

Sorrow laughed and when she did the necklace had slipped into view. already the children were paling. "Lemme see, i wil start with you first laddy, that sword is too big for you, maybe two swings before I cut your arm off, and your mate up there with the bow. yeah i would have a few in me, but i would make her die the slowest. The rest of you i would leave you limbless until you died."

He lowered his sword backing up; "We are very sorry Akuma, please forgive us, we didn't know it was you." Sorrow was confused at why she was being called Akuma; "I am NOT Akuma, I am the Lady of Sorrows, and its too late for sorry."

Sorrow turned her glare on Chrono; "Well ya know, if they knew that to begin with, why did they jump me, Akuma is twice my skill, and laddy over there is already fighting handicapped. So either this is a elaborate joke that akuma doesn't mind, or they seriously have a deathwish. Not to mention i was in the whatever i'll carry along mood when he gave it to me." Sorrow reached up and took it off; "I'll leave it in your care since you will see Akuma before I do, or would you rahter me take it back to Koas?"

Sorrow grumbled and looked back at the kid; "So all joking aside, was he right, you just come back like this?" The kid chuckled; "Yeah, but something tells me your not from around here or haven't been here that long." Sorrow nodded; "Passing through actually, looking for some help in finding a lighting demon whose been here awhile."

"You have anything valuable on you besides the necklace?" Sorrow shrugged; 'What you see is what I got, didn't exactly pack my bags to come here, but anywas nice talking to you all." "Whoa whoa whoa there missy, you have to find something to pay the toll for crossing our territory."

"Toll..." Sorrow held up the necklace; "This doesn't qualify?" They all laughed; "Perhaps if your last name was Abyss, but since your not sorry."

"Thanks..." Sorrow put her hood back up and turning sharply, the coat spreading out to wrap around her legs a bit before settling back where it belonged.

Sorrow didn't have much trouble the rest of the day. As the sun was beginning to set she took off flying for the Koas's Island. It was going to be more difficult to find her mother now considering the necklace and what transpired today. People would be less inclined to talk.

She landed in the yard, and not really wanting to head inside just yet she took advantage of the chair made of earth to realx a bit.

Sorrow got up and brushed her coat off, and then removing it she came inside hanging it in the proper place, the Amulet she hung with it. She followed the smell and walking by koad she tapped his book; "You could have just called, i was right outside, and i've been........here for about 15 minutes now." Sorrow wasted no time finding what she needed and cared off a piece for him, and for herself adding the vegtables on the side. She brought them over and trasfered them to the plates set at the table.

She returned the serving dish to sit near the oven and made sure to return the roast how she found it before closing the oven door to prevent it drying out while they ate.

Finally she sat down, and figured he would want to pour the wine. "Anyways, it smells good, so your forgiven."
