And fox. The wolf and fox are the two strongest, the wolf being the strongest of all. At first I thought it was just a connection to canids in general, but then the kitty dreams started. It's so weird.

Yeah it's basically the same thing. Canidae (canid) is the family. Scientific order.

But that's how they are distinct. I like the scientific order...

Canidae is their Family. Scientific order goes: Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, Species. For example, the gray wolf (that's me!) is classified: Kingdom - Animalia; Phylum - Chordata; Class - Mammalia; Order - Carnivora; Family - Canidae; Genus - Canis; Species - lupus. Canine is just another word for "dog". Yay me paying attention in science!

My first shifts were a little more than a year ago now, and they would have to be described as extreme mental shifts. I would actually black out and start acting like a wolf to include a guttural speech, growling and walking on pawed toes.

Wow what a way to start. My first shift was definitely not as dramatic. I can't remember how old I was, probably 5 or 6, and I started feeling a tail although I couldn't see it. It's been like that ever since lol. Claws and ears and pads and muzzle came later.

Aye, shifting. Hope you don't mind me attempting to slide into the conversation. sweatdrop My first phantom shift was a few years ago, but the one that shocked me was around a year ago. I was used to the wolf ears and tail, but we started getting strong winds during the summer. It was really picking up bad, so my friend and I where running back to my apartment, when my feet where swept from the ground, as if I was standing on something that was hovering, and I felt wings on my back. It shocked me so much that I kicked my legs rapidly, and fell to the ground. I was obviously trying to pick up the wind, but I failed, seeing as it wasn't a phsychical shift. It's a very confusing experience, and i've tried it so many times before when the wind has picked up, but nothing has ever happened. I end up looking like an idiot. xD

I've tried to fly more than once too and it never works. My dreams make it feel so easy though. The times I've tried to fly though I wasn't really in my mind, it was like I was outside looking in at myself. Pretty strange sweatdrop
