Akio smiled and started to rub Thades' shoulders. "Oh, don't be so cold. I'm just being friendly."

Thade shrugged Akio off, but could not ignore the shiver that went down his spine at the odd boy's touch. "Leave me alone. You're not being friendly, you're being...insane."

Akio shrugged, "What's the difference. Everyone goes a little insane when they're in love," he giggled close to Thades ear.

"In love with who?" Thade said, barely wanting to hear the answer. He wish he could take the question back. "You know what? I don't care. Be in love with whoever you're in love with somewhere else. I honestly couldn't care less," he said, and despite himself, he put his quill down, right on top of his parchment. But he still didn't look at Akio.

"Who? Don't be naive." He smiled and rubbed Thades biceps. "I've grown attached to you. I think if you opened our eyes, you'd feel the same for me. So... Why don't you open them up?" He let his long hair drape over Thades shoulder.

Thade immediately stood up, as if he had just realized a cockroach was scurrying underneath him. He looked at Akio, staring him down. "I don't know what you think of me, and I don't particularly care. But what you should know is that I'm not like that." He paused, and then added, "Not like you."

Akio slid into the seat and smiled up, draping his legs across the side of the chair, "Then why are you getting so worked up?" He started to fiddle with the quill.

Thade slung his bag over his shoulder. "Because you refuse to leave me alone." He reached down to grab his parchment and quill, trying to overlook that he was inches away from Akio, that he liked it. His heartbeat quickened against his will. Was he scared of this piece of trash?

Akio stood up, "Then I suppose you'd just like me to...Leave you alone?" He walked around him, running his fingers over Thades chest. "I should think that that would be awfully lonely." He plucked the quill back, "This is a nice quill. Where did you get it?" he asked in all sincerity.

"Flourish and Blott's," he said, for once answering one of Akio's questions. He didn't move, instead he allowed Akio to play a one-sided game. What he didn't realize was that even if he did nothing, he was still playing the game, a he could not escape.

Akio wrapped his arm around Thades shoulder. "Was it expensive?" He decided that he'd play nice. For today, at least.

Akio bent down and picked up the bag, handing it to him. "You could have haggled." He sat down and crossed his legs at Thades feet.

"Not at that store," he said with a grin. "They're almost corporate. Set prices." He was growing more comfortable by the second. He crossed his legs over each other.
