He saw her movement still and he felt as though he wanted to speed up and stop all at the same time. Was that even a rational thought? His bright spots caught the sunlight and almost vanished from sight when accompanied by the speed he beat them. As he came closer she turned around and only then did he stop his approach. He stilled in the air, hovering in place like a humming bird. Being this close to her brought the red tint back to his face and he turned his head slightly trying to hide it.

He had come this far, he had to tell her something. What could he tell her though? She liked him but how did he feel about her? This was the kind of thing he likely should have been thinking over during the short flight from point A to here. He was forced to focus his gaze on her while trying to figure out his own emotions.

He was reminded of the question he had been asked on the one word. More specifically he remembered how difficult it had been to chose only one word and how well, crushed he had felt when she hadn't heard him. Surely that meant something. A person like himself did not feel crushed, annoyed or insulted yes, but never hurt like that.

He realized he was staring at her causing the crimson color on his face to darken before quickly turning away. "Amatsila...I...you..." He found he was still at a loss for words and was feeling incredibly embarrassed by it. "I've...never met anyone like you. You...make me feel different then anyone else..." He tried to say more but found that the words were sticking in his throat. Why did this have to prove to be such a challenge? He found he couldn't look at her and his cheeks felt like they were on fire.

She lifted her head slowly as her started to speak. She could sort of see his cheeks were burning like hers. Although its a regular reaction when someone tells you that they fancy you. Ama let her head drop back down and waited, still not sure what he felt like. Then his next words came. Different than anyone else? The mare tilted her head a bit confused by him. So, did that mean he did feel the same way. Or did that mean she makes him feel special but..."So.." she tried to drag her word longer to show that she was trying to know what he really meant. She was bright at times, but at the moment, she was just not herself. Her eyes finally looked up at him, trying to make contact with his eyes. Wondering if they could spill any ideas as to what was going on. Her heart still well heard in her ears. His words echoing over and over inside her head. She made him feel special, and he made her act different. Was this a hint to stronger feelings? Is this a spark? Ama shook her head and tried to focus on his words rather than doze off with another thought. Her eyes softened and she waited patiently. Half wishing the earth did eat her, and half highly curious at his own answer. He was so close to her, it made her heart just jump. Perhaps even skip a beat. After they establish each other feelings, what would happen after? What happens if he didnt feel the same...Ama kept an open mind. However, her head couldn't help but try to prepare herself for a horrible response.

The turquoise soquili smiled as much as she can, hoping he would just come straight with his own feelings. "Do you........feel the same?" It took her a while to think of the words. Blurting anything out wouldnt help much. She desperately tried to think of ways to run off when he rejects her, no she cant go all low-confidence now. The possibility is still out there. She will not run off if he does reject her, she must be strong....who is she kidding. Ama started feeling extreamly hot again, hotter than before. The sun well in the middle of the sky now. They had spent quite a long time with each other. It wasnt as long as best friends did or to the least what friends had. However, love can happen at any moment. Ama looked down at the dirt and all the tiny rocks stuffed into the dirt.

He was...her friend. Even though it was a short time in their lives. He still was. He stayed with her, they exchanged names. Got to find out little bits of each other. So maybe this wasnt after all too fast. Now thinking of it, they had spent a long time together or at least it seemed long. Ama kept fussing over if this was just a little dumb feeling that'll wash away after a few mintes or was this actual attraction? It was indeed important to her. If she didnt actually feel for him, then she shouldn't be telling him false things. However, she felt she did. Then again, who knows if it'll last. Many choices and decisions popped into her head, after a wild, it gave her a headache. She shut her eyes and washed out all the options. It was time to take a chance. Something shes never done in her life.

"So..." He echoed in much the same way, dragging out the sound. He did it, however, as a stall to give him more time to pull his thoughts together. He both knew what to say and at the same time had no idea what was going through his mind. The complicated thought was giving him problems. She questioned him rather straight forwardly and he turned to look at her.

"I..." He fell silent but could hear his voice loud and clear in his own head. 'Yes,' it was saying. 'Yes, why can't you just say it?' He tried to bring the thought forward but the sound just wouldn't come out. He sighed deeming using his vocal cords at the moment a hopeless act. Not giving up he nodded only to notice that she was looking down.

He about fell out of the air seeing this. Why did it have to be so difficult getting your own feelings across? He supposed it was not all emotions anger, irritation and general friendship were relatively simple to express. This was something far more complicated. He took a deep breath and lowered himself so that he hovered in her line of sight once again. "Yes, yes I believe so." His answer brought a fresh coat of red to his face and while he wanted to he did not look away.

A moment later, after he had made up his mind, As Ama could tell he was hestitating then again she was looking at him all the way. Her cheeks flushed as red as his, and she looked up but still not him, but rather at another tree. It was now what should she say. They seem to be going in a pattern, she says something he says something then her and so forth. If she kept to it, now would be her turn. It was hard to decide on her emotion. Part of her wanted to burst out in happiness, and the other part tried to maintain her from doing that. Overall, she still wanted to bolt into the bush to hide herself and party happily. Which she doubt she would do, since she wasnt much of a 'party' soquili. Thoughts, what thoughts were in her head? None, her heart felt like it just died. Her jaw wanted to release its grip and drop. He....liked her back. Feelings that Spinel Sun, the one who barely spoke about himself in their little meeting, admitted to. He liked her back! Ama felt time freeze, face still flushed. Almost as if she grew two ripe apples or cherries on her cheeks. Now what was she suppose to say? Ama knew she wanted to say something to 'celebrate' it. First she decided to let out the breath she'd been holding for quite sometime, even when her body didnt realise it. Just a typical reaction she assumed. Then she brought he vision onto the flutter who was floating before her. He had not looked away like herself. Letting her gaze fall deep into his eyes, she hoped she could and would find what to say just bye staring into them.

Deep in his eyes, she felt herself relax and a smile appeared over her lips. Ama realized she had barely any control over her body, she was clay being modeled by a two-legger. And this 'two-legger' had put a smile on her, brushed off some of the cherriness from her cheeks, to make them own a pink shade. Her ears were lifted up from being attached to her head, and looked quite active. Her tail began flicking side to side like a dog wagging its tail when it was happy. Ama couldn't squeek a word out but her actions should somehow state something. Then again Spinel could easily not notice just because he could be staring deep into her eyes as well. "I.........." having as much trouble as they did before trying to confess, she thought about her sentence. "...am glad that I've run into you Spinel Sun." The 'two-legger' molded her smile bigger as she spoke softly and kept her eyes still on him. Her heart felt all warm and fuzzy, tingly too.

The dark flutter was having difficulty believing what was happening, what had happened. Nearly two whole years he had been here and never once had he ever considered involving himself with another romantically. He supposed the saying could be true that you were more likely to stumble upon happiness then you were when trying to find it. His tail began to sweep back and forth in slow, even movements as another thought crossed his mind. Where did they go from here?

This was all a very new experience for him and he suspected, based on her behavior, that it was new for her as well. He had seen your typical happy couple chattering away like fools by the river. The two of them seemed far from average or typical though, a timid mare and a studious stallion. Nothing like those he had seen, perhaps he should have pretended to have not felt anything. It was simple enough.

She spoke and stopped his train wreck of a thought before it caused any real damage. "Me as well." He answered with little to know thought on it. He was glad to have met her. He knew that as a fact in his mind and in his heart. He fell silent shortly after unable to think of a way to progress the conversation. It seemed like the world had stopped and the progression of their words along with it. He turned his head to the side taking in where they were again.

"Oh....the hill." He said nodding his head over his shoulder. Their destination was only a short walk away now. Somehow they had separated from the land for a moment and perhaps now was a good time for the two places to rejoin?

The idea of going to the hill shot Ama back into reality. "Right." She said, turning around. Then realising that was where they had just come from, switching around she face the direction to the hills. As she began to walk, with every step, it did not feel heavier but rather light, as if she was walking on a cloud. Weight had been lifted off of her. Felt good to let such feelings out, it all happend so fast she wasnt sure if she had dozed off and imagined it all. Ama kept her head up high nonetheless and smiled as she took her steps towards the hill. Suddenly remembering she hadnt waited for him. Stopping, she turned and looked at him. Thoughts still a shock to her. She couldn't think of anything but Spinel, Spinel and Spinel. His image seem to glow from the rest of reality. Though that was a bit much, Ama closed her eyes and shook her head, then brought it back up and looked at him. She had not notice before, but it felt as if Spinel looks so much more cuter. Not baby cute but rather cute in a stallion or male way. Ama knew better to keep this thought to herself, Spinel might probably find it too much. A part of her brain brought back to her attention about the words he wanted to describe her with. "What......what were those words you wanted to describe me with?" she asked tilting her head.

Ama didnt feel like herself. She felt like she was a new her, she felt her closed up heart open up. What was happening? The brighter side of her brain refused to let this opening up happen. It did not want her to be rather vulnerble, not to Spinel but to other beings. It was a safety thing. She wouldn't mind telling Spinel about her childhood stories, correction, story. There wasnt much to it except she had really spent her life cut off from the world. Now was her chance t obe her and shine. So in the future she'll have stories to tell, and be filled with wise thoughts. Ama could feel it was going to be discovery and adventures with Spinel...she thinks.

One of the better parts of being a flutter was that he could practically float along at one height. That was just what he did. He floated along behind Amatsila still trying to figure out what they should do from this point onward. He didn't like not having at least a basic structure for a plan but it was starting to seem as though he was not the best suited to making this plan. A lot that crossed his mind was slightly negative. He was thankfully brought out of his own mind by a question that could be considered almost like deja vu. "You're actually going to listen this time?" He asked with a raised brow. He sounded amused, which he was.

"As I said earlier you are both friendly and timid, kind and at times distant. You are also blue and flowery." He nodded his head firmly hoping she would not be offended in his choice of words. She already knew he found her interesting or fascinating, rather, and he saw no point adding them in.

He liked being like this. It was different from what he saw and therefore different from what he imagined in his mind. It was, however, better then he had imagined. Simpler somehow and it didn't feel as fake as he had always pictured it. That was nice, very nice indeed.

Ama couldn't help but laugh when he mentioned that she was actually going to listen. Followed shortly with a small blush. She listened intently, nodding at each word. She was glad they werent anything extreme, nothing over the top. Often when two confessed, it just goes all mushy from there. Ama didnt want that, she wanted to take things slow. Learn things from him, as well he learn from her. They 'take' part of each other. She smiled at him as they once started heading for the hills. Walking slowly, she was in no rush to getting there. This walk was rather nice and relaxing. The turquoise mare wondered what was going through his mind. Was it the same as hers? Amatsila would shyly glance on over to him out of the corner of her eyes. Once in a while during their stroll. A few clouds appeared in the sky, still not big or thick enough to cover the sun's strong rays. It felt hot, she felt hot. It wasa hot day, and she felt rather nervous still. For what? Ama didnt even know, but for some reason she felt butterflies flit around in her stomache. This had really put an awkward moment into this conversation. Her heart leaped inside her, joyfully at the same time nervously. After a long while Ama tried to think of something to bring up. At the same time, she kept her mouth shut, hoping Spinel could brin something up.

This time not even caring to glance over secretly, she turned her head to look at him. Still walking in a rather slow pace. It was strange being this close to a 'crush' but nonetheless wonderful. Her heart beats heard at her ear drums again. Ama watched him as she walked. Like before everything just kind of faded out, it was just him and her. Walking on a bright road that seem to lead to nowhere. The beating of his wings were no longer heard either. She was visible to the fact she was doing this, but she couldn't resist pulling her head away. How could one stallion...change you from what you were your whole life? Then again, one tiny moment can change ones life forever. She sighed happily, and smiled. Deep in the back of her head she thought she really had to stop all this staring and daydreaming.

He floated after her keeping his eyes focused on the hills before them. In some small way he wondered if perhaps the planet had intended for them to meet. The origin of this thought was in the very hills before him. In some small way it seemed like a bad metaphor and it brought a tiny smile to his face. It seemed he found amusement in some of the strangest places. As he continued to ponder over this thought he became aware of her gaze on him.

Initially he did not look over at her for two reasons. The first being he was worried that looking at her once again would only bring the rather shameful blush back to his face. The second was that he wanted to yawn and didn't want her to see. They had been out all night and now for a good portion of the day. It was only natural for him to feel tired but he did not want her to see.

"We have been awake for a while." He said very casually glancing over to her. "You are not tired?" He was either about to regret this questioning and find out this mare had a seemingly endless supply of energy or things would go well and he would be able to rest again. Perhaps he would even be able to get a few hours of sleep if he was lucky.

Ama didnt answer right away, she thought about it. Even though excitement and happiness is all over her, she knew she had been up all night and most of today with him. She may not feel how tired she was but she knew her body needed rest as he probably would need too. "I am actually," she lied a bit, since she rather actually feeling rather jumpy and hyper. If she stayed still enough, perhaps her excitement will clear and she'll be able to rest. The turquoise mare saw the hills in front of them as well. Pretty soon, she had realised they were on it. Time really flew by in a blink of an eye. At the same time, perhaps it was way closer than what she had imagined it as. Amatsila turned to Spinel, "I.....I believe it is safe here...to rest." Smiling, then she laid herself ontop of the hill. Letting those light purple orbs scan the land before them. She has been there many times, but every time it always felt different and seem to catch her attention somehow. Her heart quickened as she realised she'd be spending this sleep beside her flutter friend, or maybe he'd prefer to sleep far away. Ama's quick concluding mind shot back into works. Her heart sank starting to believe perhaps this was just an illusion. A dream of hers, and the real Spinel was currently yelling at her for dreaming. She started staring at Spinel, worried eyes. Not sure if she should trust her low-confidence or if she should trust what she was seeing and feeling. Paranoia has always gotten the best of her. Letting her heart sink deep inside her guts.

A butterfly flew between her and him and broke off her stare. She blinked and looked down, worriedly. Eyebrows close together in the middle of her forehead. It was wrong to assume things, she knew, but....you can never be too careful.

It was a relief to know that at least she said she was tired. She did not seem like the type to lie but he could never be entirely sure. Once something was said it was more or less like a contract meaning it would be safe to rest with her around. He wouldn't have to worry about her making fun of him for it. Perhaps he would even be able to catch a few hours of shut eye that he knew he needed about now. While his body had recovered enough for him to use his wings there was no way to change sizes which had the potential to land him, at the very least, in a tough spot.

As she lay down he lowered himself to the ground and folded his wings against his back. "I believe it is safe to rest anywhere in the main lands." He said dropping to lay on the ground beside her folding his legs beneath him. "Anything out here that attacks can be handled with little effort." Spinel said fighting of another yawn. He wasn't saying it to boast. It was quite clear given his tone of voice sounded almost exactly the same as it had the entire time, just slightly more drawn out.

He lowered his head to rest on his folded forelegs and watched how a butterfly fluttered about the pair. He couldn't help but watch it's wings as it was mostly just wings. Somehow they were making him feel more tired then he alread was so he turned his attention away to look at the blue mare beside him. "If you would like to rest now I can keep watch for a short while." He did not have to tell her just how short the while would be. Likely only long enough for him to make sure she wasn't moving before going to sleep himself.

Ama smiled at his request. This was real, she cant be dreaming. She looked up at him, "That.....would be nice......but I think I should try and trust this place more." She laughed, and looked up at the sky. It wasnt normal for her to be like such. "Lets both sleep now." Her eyes closed and she let her head lay down, facing towards him. A little pink appeared across her face as she opened her eyes to look at him one last time before closing them again. She had only lied once, a tiny one, today. That was something she'd never do again, but she was mainly stretching the truth for him. Knowing those who ask must somewhat be affected themselves. Ama sighed and thought about everything that had happend. She would lie again, just for him. But only for the better. She was not entirely asleep yet. Instead, she could feel all her muscles relax and they were quite comfortable on the grass. Pretty soon the power she had over her body flew off. She didnt move. In her head, was all she had control over. Things right now was just...almost perfect. Her heart thudded quietly in her ears again. The cool breeze rushing over them. She had wnated to open her eyes to see what the sky was like. If it had turned to sunset. Ama couldnt open them, glued shut. Indeed she was tired. His breathing was heard, and she felt her heart glow with happiness.

They were both different in many ways. He had what she needed. Not sure if she had what he likes. To her, they were like two puzzle pieces. Just fitted together. Ama was sure that someday they can find more things about each other that made them similar. Opposites yet not opposites. As she slowly felt herself drift off, one last thought about Spinel was made. The power over her mouth had come back, and she took that short chance to whisper, "Could this be love?" and the power flowed off once more. A wonderful dream on its way.

He noted the tinge on her face and for a moment he couldn't quite understand why she was blushing. Moments later he went slightly pink as well. He had thought that this effect was going to be a temporary one that went along with their confessions. It seemed that perhaps it was something more permanent then he had expected. The oddest thing about it was, he minded the feeling less and less as time passed.

He watched as her eyes shut. He waited a brief moment to make sure they were going to stay that way before closing his eyes. It wasn't long before his body felt both heavy and weightless. Just as he was beginning to doze off he though he heard someone.

Love? He let the word roll around in his drifting mind for a few moment before sighing contentedly. So that's what this was. He found that he liked it. After all, it was much better then it looked as an outside observer. Not a minute after thinking this his breathing evened out as he slipped into sleep.
