Mortician works for him, some kind of FBI CSI kinda guy. A priest could work for him to.
And i think he does know what romance is, i think he was just hurt long ago somehow or in someway relating to love. I think its how he ended up so cold.
And if we dont take him out of the books, i think D would retire on an old farm. He seems handy with things like that and it can be nice and secluded. Just him some crops, and animals.
