Jewlet nodded her head and cleaned each wound carefully. She picked up the strange medical equipment. "Think happy thoughts." She took care of the the one in the bicep and then the two in the right shoulder. Tossing the bullets she pulled out bandages. Cleaned the wound once more before rapping it. "There. Does anyone else need medical care?"

Connor's lips quirked upward at the idea of happy thoughts. He couldn't help but give a grunt of amusement. Happy thoughts were lost on him, and had been since the Resource Wars. He clenched his jaw tightly as she removed the bullets, only to prevent an uncomfortable grunt from escaping. I've felt worse. Standing again, he nodded toward Jewlet and voiced his gratitude before moving to stand next to Alaric, facing the road.

Alex watched the medical treatments with little interest, though he was surprised when one of the group used an old spoon from the ground. Everyone knew not to use old things from the ground if there was something else nearby, almost everything still had amounts of radiation from the war, the man could be almost safe or he could be injecting himself with a dose of uranium.

This guy's going to be killed by his own stupidity.

Alex shook his head and looked towards the road, this was going to be difficult even without the wounded slowing them down.

"Everyone looks good... C'mon. We can't waste time here anymore," Alaric said, trying to get everyone moving. This area was unsafe enough from the raider presence, along with the various other creatures that inhabited the wastes. Besides that, he didn't want to waste more supplies than needed...

He turned around, starting to walk forward in the direction that was supposed to have a town. The heat of the desert no longer got to him. He couldn't tell if that was a good or a bad thing.

He put the rifle on his back as he stepped, hoping everyone would catch up...

He wanted some answers.

Dimitri stood and followed, walkin with a slight limp. He slung his rifle onto his back and adjusted the strap abit.

Connor walked along with the others, not bothering to glance back. He assumed they were following already, and if not then oh well. The usage of an old spoon in a medical procedure worried him slightly, but he figured that it wasn't his problem. Besides that, I don't really have any medical knowledge, so I have no right to comment.

The heat did not affect him much, after all, he had grown up in the heat of the South. While the desert was indeed much hotter, the heat was something you adapted to after many years. This life of walking in extreme temperatures and constantly being on his guard was the life he'd become accustomed to, so this journey wasn't anything new to him.

Jewlet put the kit up and followed after them quietly. She looked at them and sighed. She qucikend her pace to catch up. She smiled and then suck her tounge out a little. Her mind was relaxed for the moment. She put their names in her memory.

Jason walked behind the group with Elisebeth beside him. "Where are we going now?" she asked him with a curious look on her face. "We're heading to a settlement." he muttered to her as they kept walking. He hoped they could get to town before something else happened to the group.

The walk was harsh, the heat intense and the terrain unforgiving. Every missed step caused Alaric to stumble a bit, the dunes causing him to slide and slip whenever he lost focus. The sweat was stinging his eyes after a while.

Thankfully, the sun started to set. The heat would be less intense now. Unfortunately, that would mean they would need to set up camp soon. There were things in the desert far more dangerous than raiders, he knew... And they needed to be as focused as possible.

"You, Connor... How far of a walk were we talking...?" he asked, hoping they would reach town soon...

Connor responded without taking his off of the road, still with the same expression worn as when they first began their trek. "Well here's the fork I was talking about right up ahead." He lifted his right hand and pointed straight ahead, where a division in the roads was barely visible. "From there it'll be a half-mile to the settlement." Connor was well aware that they'd need to set up camp soon.

Jewlet look behind her at Jason and Elisebeth. She looked at Elisebeth she smiled. She loved kids and always want to see them smiling. Turning her head back around and started to hum. Her thought on what to do when or if they reach the settlement.

She looked up her eyes showed anger as the sun set. She kept her ears and eyes alert. She cursed under her breath and looked around.

Dimitri looked at the setting sun. "..." He knew what that meant. Thought it would be alot cooler now. More dangerous things, more dangerous then raiders would be surfacing. Night also was the time were it was easier too be ambushed, as well they had a small group so they could easily be outgunned/outnumbered if a decent sized group of raiders showed up.

Jason watched the inevitable sunset and even though she hadn't moved from his side he still told Elisebeth to "Stay close." The darkness almost always invited unwanted activity. He gripped the hilt of his sword reassuringly but knew against some of the things that came out at night his sword would do as much good as a blade of grass does to a lawnmower.

"Wait... Look, over there..." Alaric said, nudging Connor to direct him to where he was looking. A silhouette was on the horizon, barely visible in the darkness, but there. Alaric's first thought was that the group had gone in a complete circle, but upon closer inspection, it appeared that wasn't the case.

Judging from the shouting he could hear amongst the shadows, it sounded like they had encountered a merchant caravan, much like theirs. The group talked about weapon maintenance, item care, and where everything fit in the cargo spaces... As well as a few other miscellaneous topics, such as mutant sightings and how the Brotherhood was becoming more successful as of late, and even complaints as to why the group was traveling at night.

It didn't seem like they were traveling, though. Alaric saw a fire being set up, so he knew that they were setting up camp as well. They were pretty dispersed, judging by the volume of the conversations. They were probably packing up cargo as well.

"Let's go check it out, hm?" Alaric said, fully trusting of the situation. He had grown up around merchants, so he was very sure of his intuition on this situation. they would more likely than not be sympathetic towards them, considering the recent events... And Alaric could have possibly known a few of them. If nothing else, they could at least point them in the direction of town...

Connor gave a quiet noise of attention in the back of his throat, eyebrows raised slightly. His right ear twitched at the sound of voices, assuming it to be a merchant caravan. Alaric's confidence in the situation was reassuring, so Connor simply nodded and continued on toward the caravan.
