Ilisia slept uneasily during the night. She woke and hour before sunrise and quietly crept down the stairs. She sat down on a chair and sighed. Why do all other creatures have to make every thing so complicated? For Elfs and Half-Elfs, it's just this is fact so why must it be hidden? Ilisia took out her daggers and began sharpening them in case of attack. She always did this when she wanted to pass the time.

Rayne woke a little after sunrise. She lifted her scythe and walked down the stairs. She saw Ilisia sharpening her blades. "Hey. Mind if I join you?"

Ilisia smiled wanly. "Actually, I've just finished. But why don't you sit down anyway? I'd like to hear your story. Then I'll tell you mine. I'm sure the others will want to wake up by the time we're done." If she doesn't want to, we can always sit here in silence while I work on my spells.

Jada pads out of a near-by bed with Izlan transformed as a tabby cat. She stretches a bit then talks to the two in cat, hoping they'll understand...otherwise she'd just change back to an elf.
"We're gonna go for a walk" she mewed, as she cast her eyes in the direction of young Izlan.

Rayne sighed. "Not much of a story. I lived with a rogue elf, who died not too long ago. He trained me about weapons. That's why I have the scythe." She shook her head, as if to remove the memory. "How about your story?"

Surprised by Izlan and Jada, she smiled. "Sure, go ahead. Just come back by 3 and a half after sunrise. We'll probably need to go if there is any set destination. Though, judging by Toraka, we'll probably just need to get out of here."
She looked at Rayne and said, "It's complicated. I'll tell a little now, but I will say more when I feel more comfortable.
"Well, I'm Ilisia Mordenaria. This you already know. I'm a Half-Elf. My father was Terachii Goldwist, my mother Mordena Havenria. I grew up in an orphanage. When I was 10, I was bought for the first time. I've run away about 18 times and have been boughten 25 times. I ran away from Toola's son because he used me to get into his enemies minds. I am my own person after all, so I ran away. I can read and control most minds. I can't control full Elfs, some Half-Elfs (those more powerful than me) and vampires. Everything else is my secret. At least for now."

Rayne laughed lightly. "Well, I guess until we trust each other, our pasts will stay clouded." She stood up and picked up her scythe. "I think I'll take a walk for now. You staying here?"

"No. I think I'll take a walk and visit Ol' Wilkins. He's the town mage. I'll be back in about an hour. For some odd reason, he's up at night even though he's not a vampire..." Ilisia sighed. "Where are you headed?"

Jada silently pads through the streets with Izlan,
In search for her long time merchant friend, John, who also was an elf shapeshifter, to pick up some supplies.
She slipped through an alleyway where she truned back into a human.
She silently walked up to John telling him that she was Jada telepathically, so that he would not attack her.
"Hello, John." she sadi, doing the elvish greeting
"Hello, Jada." He said grimly, doing the greeting back
"What's the problem" she asked
"There was a massacare during the night in the next town over. they don't know who or what caused, except it seemed to know what it was doing, so it's no monster..."
She looked at John fearfully, then shook her head.
"Uh...can i have some supplies," As if ignoring his warning, "I'm running low."

She hurried back with Izlan, not bothering to change form, to tell her friends of the news, some how sensing it had to do something with one of her loner friends.

Rayne shook her head. "I'm just going to look around. I don't know this area very well..." She smiled slightly. "Tell the mage, 'get some sleep!' For me."

Herana sits on the roof of the hotel, watching her current companions walk in and out. Why is it...she did not leave these people? She had what she wanted...a town...but...suddenly, what she had planned...felt wrong. Why should she deny her nature...deny what she was...becuase she was traveling with other people..
She sighed. People made things so complicated...

Toraka looked out the window and saw her friends go exploring. She'd been awake for hours, even before Illisia. She just couldn't sleep with ahat was on her mind. She sighed and jumped out the window. She ran over the houses and stopped in front of a door. She took a deep breath and knocked on the door. She smiled politely as it opened "Hey, can I come in."

Ilisia went out to visit Wilkins. It took her a minute to remember where he lived, but when she found the place, she was filled with foreboding. In order to not surprise him, Ilisia placed the spell he had taught her on her forehead. This let him know that Ilisia was a friend. Then she heard Wilkins's voice. "Ilisia! The next town, Juran, has been massacred! It is not safe here! Get out while you can!"
Ilisia ran back to the inn yelling, "They are coming at last!"

She sat at the table sipping her coffee. "I never expected you to come back by here again." She looked up towards the voice and sighed her eyes sad. "Yeah, well me neither." He watched her as her eyes fell back to the table. "I was disowned." She slowly looked up "What? " "I refused the marriage." "Why?" "I didn't want it," He shrugged. He refuses and yet it's still about him. They sat in silence staring at each others eyes.

Rayne wandered through the streets. Anyone looking at her would think she was window shopping or looking for a certain store, not searching for a runaway vagabond who could cost her the job and her reputation. Little brat... Making this worse than it needs to be...
