Robert spoke , buckling himself down to brace for impact. Already confused, she launched herself at her master until her head struck his crossed arms, knocking Robert on his back. Although it cleared things up, it also damaged Lilly. "You alright Farrah?" Robert asked. Farrah nodded a bit before turning towards the zubat. "Ok, let's not be a sitting target. Quick attack at random spots around the ground and Ember as you go!" Robert spoke before Vulpix sprang into action, throwing embers up at Zubat at every direction change.

Farrah was able to dodge the majority of the air cutters, but one finally struck dead on, sending her fainted to Robert. "You did good my Farrah. Take a good rest." Robert spoke before recalling Vulpix to her pokeball. Now it was time for him to gain the type advantage. "Lilly, you're up! Confusion!" Robert's Kirlia jumped onto the battle ground and sent out strong psychic energies at Zubat. If hit would cause super effective damage to the posion-typed zubat.

Robert remained calm as he watched the zubat pull out of its tail spin. Robert still had an ace up his sleeve. "Lilly, Teleport behind and hit it with confusion once more." Robert spoke. The zubat would be left attacking open air as Lilly vanished from sight, only to reappear five feet away behind zubat before unleashing another Confusion attack.

"lilly, tap into my mind." Robert spoke. From this point on in the battle,Robert's commands would be relayed to Lilly through mental thought, having Lilly use her psychic abilities to read his mind, just as she used them to speak to him telepathically. Lilly, pinpoint Charmeleon's location with Magical Leaf, hop to your left and then use Confusion. Robert thought in his mind. With a nod, Lilly fired off a magical leaf attack, one of the few atack guarenteed never to miss unless an opponent was using protect, detect, fly or dig or found some other means to stop the attack.

Seeing the approaching fire spin advancing from the right of the cloud and towards Lilly, Robert issued his next command to Lilly. Teleport above Charmeleon and use Confusion once more. This was a dangerous ploy since once she landed she would be within striking range of metal claw or a full blast fire attack. But if she could cause confusion, it might give her a fighting chance, or at least give his next pokemon a greater advantage.

Robert watched as the fire spin struck as she landed, leaving her burned and fairly injured. Thankfully he used a special attack, which she had a higher special defense than physical defense Instead of making her battle until she fainted, Robert took out two pokeballs. Once Lilly was knocked to the ground, Robert recalled her to her pokeball. She wasn't fainted yet, but he wasn't going to let her suffer more if he could end the fight quickly. Robert then threw his final pokemon into the battle. "Lilly, return! Mathias, Earth Cannon!" Robert called out. As soon as his Sandshrew appeared, it dug into the ground. Once it surfaced in attack, it would follow up into a rapid spin in whatever direction Robert gave, which depended on what direction Robert saw Charmeleon dodge or fall, to include upwards.

As Charmeleon jumped up, Mathias emerged from the ground. "Up and add in defensive curl!" Robert called out. This would aim Mathias's Rapid Spin directly at Charmeleon, and the defensive curl as it spun would offer more protection agianst the metal claw attack.

Robert recalled Mathias before taking and shaking Jake's hand. "You as well. You're comming along fine. Just make sure when you battle that you use your surroundings to your advantage. It'll be very important when you face Misty, since there's not that much actual ground to work with." He spoke before looking over to the young female that was looking at Jake. "A freind of yours?" He asked Jake.
