Shocked by the sudden appearance of this blue beta, she blinked "Oh, hi there. Um that would be nice" she smiled and kinda laughed a little "My name is Midora. May I ask my escort's name?"

He smiled confidently. "Yeah. The name's Bandido. I know these parts like the back of my fin! I grew up my whole life around here. It's not such a bad area. All the thriving plant life helps spruce it up a bit. Makes it more colorful than some of those deeper parts of the ocean.. where it's dark and cold." His eye moving to catch hers, glinting all the while.

Bandido winked at her. "yeah... getting lost in a beta is one thing. Getting lost without one... that's a different story.. but yeah. This reef in particular is heavily populated. All sorts of stuff. Some of the fish around here have been evolving recently. I hope to do that myself some day. My father was evolved." He obviously had a father love though he little realized just the kind of guy his father really was.

"Lost in a beta?" blinking out of confusion "I'm sure you would look great evolved, on of my mothers is evolved but the other isn't. It must be a lot easier to have hands" she looked at her fins and rolled her eyes a little

"yes yes... hands are definitely a plus. For me, I think I'd like to have an actual chin. It'd be great to stand and rub my chin thoughtfully. Man... I could get someone to paint me. That'd be great. If anyone would want to that is.. but then, that's what charisma is for right? The art of making people want what you want on their own... " He swam about leading her up the coral to where a large sea amone was. It sat on top of a spiraling piece of the turf. Out of it's moving edges, you could see a landscape of swimming betas and clownfish.

Midora blinked some more, not really sure what he was talking about and shrugged it off as he took her up the coral beds. She stopped and looked at everything "Wow, this is gorgeous"

"It is exquisite; if I do say so myself... which I do and just did." He gave a casual laugh. He looked down out the sides of it proud. He looked out the side at the fem. He was hoping to impress her. Her intricate detailed body impressed him. He decided to try a compliment. "I say... Lady, your body reminds me of a beautiful tapestry of art. Lovely and exotically beautiful..."

Midora blushed which was plainly obvious on her purple body. "Why thank you, I got it from one of my mothers" she looked at her design "I rather like it myself but I never thought it was beautiful."

Bandido's eyes narrowed, and he would have nearly purred to himself feeling happy his compliment settled in well. "Do you also get twice the mothering then? If you have two mothers?" That was a curious thing to him; though he did know full well it wasn't unusual for betas to have two mothers or two fathers.

"No, I don't really see my other mother very much since I don't live with her or my other sister. I have a grandfather and he is kind of like a father figure. I'm the youngest of my other siblings so my mom does keep a close eye on me for the most part." she smiled seeing as she had snuck out of her tank to be here.

He smiled to himself. So, she had some toughness in her still then. "Heh. Yeah. I don't really feel a need for much doting over myself. There are plenty of fish who live along the reef who are all cared for by one of those... land dwellers. Many of those keep an eye out for me I guess you could say." He was happy this was going so well.

He looked at her contemplating. "Would you want to go see where I live on the reef? That way you could come visit me if you wanted... you know.. when you're escaping the confines of your tank?" He wondered if she would. He could never perceive the values and level of propriety betas and clownfishes were prone to. Some looked like they didn't have any; and they ended up having high propriety. Then, some would look very proprietous, and those ones weren't at all.

She turned back to him "Oh, that would be fun. I'd like that a lot actually. Plus with new offspring in my family I may have more time to myself for a bit. My moms now a grandmother and my grandfather is a great grandfather now."
