Nefir cocked his head. "Huh? Chiku-what?" He made a strange face. "You sure have some funny words in your vocabulary." His eyes bugged out as he watched Shimofuri jump and kick the ice. 'Wow.........remind me not to get on your bad side." He grinned and carefully stepped through the ice. "Hey, I think there's enough light to see by now!" He perked his ears as he heard his last words echo up ahead. "By now!....by now.....by now....." He craned his neck forward, although there wasn't much to see yet. "Sounds like there's a big cavern up ahead or something. Let's go check it out."

Shimofuri looked over at Nefir with a small smirk. "It'd take a lot for you to get on my bad side," she said as the ice collapsed. She jumped lightly above the shards and looked around. She could see a faint outline around him and the walls, around everything. "Yeah," she agreed before looking forward where the tunnel grew black around the edges and white towards the center. She nodded and began to walk towards it.

Nefir tried to walk slowly out of caution, but eagerness and curiousity made him pick up his pace until he was nearly trotting. When he reached the end of the corridor, he poked his head out, and gasping, walked out into the cavern. The cavern was enormous; it looked big enough to hold an entire forest with room for the meadows. Stalactites hung from the ceiling in various patters, a few even hanging low enough to meet a stalagmite and fuse together like a support beam. Light from some mysterious place shone on everything and made the ice glitter. Frost was visible in patches, looking like lace someone had dropped. And what had to be hundreds of small holes dotted the walls, floors, and even a few on the ceiling; many of them completely dark. Nefir turned to Shimofuri and whispered, not wanting to hear his voice boom out. "There has to be hundreds of ways we could go, and I don't think the diamonds are here. What do we do?"

Shimofuri walked beside Nefir, speeding up with him and then stopping in the giant cavern. She looked around in awe, it looked like a huge, white beecomb. She walked around, being sure to stay away from the holes in the ground, until she as right next to a small stalagmite. She pokes it, it's icy feel making her shiver with delight, before looking back at Nefir. She shrugged and whispered back, "I dunno... you think anythink might show us the way out?"

Nefir looked at Shimofuri questioningly. "The way out? But we haven't even begun to explore. Don't you wanna find the diamonds? Besides, we fell a long way; to get out, we'll probably have to go up, and since we can't fly to the ceiling holes, we'd have to look at all of those holes until we find one that leads upward. But it does seem a shame to run off when we haven't even explored yet."

Shimofuri put her hand under her chin and thougt for a second. "I forgot about the diamonds..." she mumbled before nodding. "I guess we might as well look for some, since we're here," She agreed before walking back over to Nefir. "So, where should we start?"

Nefir shrugged. "I dunno; I guess one hole's as good as any...." A blast of cold air suddenly bloew out of one of the homes and ruffled his fur, making him shiver. "Or not, since we don't want to run into anything down here...." Giving the windy hole a wide berth, he selected a regular-sized hole (figuring any ifrits would need a big hole to travel in, being big and all) and walked in. He forgot of course that ifrits could change their size, but at the moment he was cold enough to believe that his brain was growing frost inside his head. He found this cave to be another tunnel, dark and ominous, and before too long he paused and looked at Shimofuri. "I don't want to wander around in the dark again; you wouldn't happen to have any trick or something to help light the way would you, Miss Wall-Breaker?" =3

Shimofuri followed beside Nefir and nodded as she looked at the holes. She poked the one he chose, and stuck her head in; she would just barely fit. She looked around and the darkness that filled this tunnel like the last, and shook her head. "I can't make things light up... sorry," she said as she lightly pouted and looked back at him.

Nefir looked disappointed. "Ah well, can't be helped; next time we go exploring, we had better bring a light or something. I'm already getting tired of groping around in the dark." He walked ahead and began shuffling his feet slightly to make sure the ground was clear for walking. Every so often he had to pause to shake the gathering frost off of his front paws before continuing, but they went a fair distance this way without bumping into anything or falling down any holes. Suddenly, Nefir's paw hit something that rattled away in the darkness. "Ow!" he shook his paw and carefully felt around until he located the offending object. He couldn't see it in the dark, but he carefully felt it; hard, with one end sharpening to a point and the other end flat with inclines all around it. It felt an awful lot like a.......His eyes widened and he handed it to Shimofuri. "Feel that; does it feel to you what it feels like to me?"

Shimofuri nodded lightly before following after Nefir, keeping a straight face as they were once more consumed by the darkness. She kept her feet on the ground, sliding them to keep moving foreward, and her hand ran over the smooth wall surface. She froze as she heard Nefir. "Daijovu?" she questioned as she sped up until she was right next to him. She carefully took the object he handed to her and felt it; cool, hard, and sharp at the tip. Her eyes widened and she smiled before replying. "It feels like a diamond to me!"

Nefir fairly danced as he heard his hope confirmed. "Allright! We've found one!" He shuffled ahead at a quicker pace, eagerly listening and feeling for any more diamonds. He found something, but it wasn't quite what he expected. He suddenly felt nothing in front of him, and he found himself pitching forward. But instead of falling a ways, he only seemed to fall about 2 feet before he felt his paws come in contact with a bunch of hard, pointy items. He slid rapidly downward, feeling the shift as hundreds of pointies poked against his paws. He landed rather painfully in a valley of points and shook his head, looking up into the darkness. Suddenly, the room cxame alive with light that seemed to have no particular source. Nefir's eyes bugged and for a moment he was speechless. He appeared to be sitting in a cave FILLED with perfectly cut diamonds. He saw a small cave protruding from the wall about 50 feet above him, and he thought he could see Shimofuri up at the top. "Look!" He shouted. "Look what we've found!!!"

Shimofuri followed Nefir slightly behind, trying to feel for any diamonds on the sides. Her ear twitched as she heard him start to fall, and she walked over to the edge of rock above the pointed valley. She gasped as a light began to show though, and she could see the diamonds everywhere. It was so beautiful; the clear, shining diamonds mixed among the cool gray wall. "I know! It's amazing!" she shouted back to him.

Nefir pawed at the diamonds beneath his paws, the smallest seeming as big as each of his footpads. He smiled and watched the light dance through the diamonds until it seemed as though he was standing in a world make entirely of rainbow. He squinted up at Shimofuri. "Aren't you coming down?"

Shimofuri laughed; it echoing through the small pit. "Juto matte!" she replied before lightly jumping down and making sure to land on the sides of the diamonds she stood on. She smiled as she picked up one about the size of her palm and moved it to manipulate her own rainbow.

Nefir did a bouncy sort of dance on the diamond pile, nearly falling again. "This is SO cool! I bet just one of these is enough to buy us our own island! Or a really big house! On stilts!" Suddenly, a bitingly cold wind blew through the cave, weaving around the piles of diamonds and making Nefir crouch down, teeth chattering. "Wh-wh-where did th-th-th-that come from?"
