"Is it possible for you -not- to make a mess?" Demy snorted, quickly finishing off his plate of food. "Mmm...thanks Lali!" Food felt nice. It had been a while since he last had a really good meal, and for once he wasn't left with a dull ache in a still empty stomach.

"You're welcome, sweetie. Now that you've fortified yourself with food, wanna tell us what you were doing in that alley to begin with? I promise i won't yell or anything."
Yes, she was curious and concerned. But mainly, she just wanted to be sure that Demy wasn't going to be draggign his bad habits in under her roof.

Spence shot a quick bird at Demy while Lali wasn't looking.
Munching his cookies, the waiter listened to the conversation between the two quietly. He glanced over at the youth, waiting for his answer despite having a fairly good guess at what the boy had been doing in the alley. Where he'd gotten those extra limbs, however, interested the elder audio and more importantly...was it contagious?!

"I've um...been there...pretty much since I said I was going away? Heh..." Grinning nervously the boy flattened his ears and quickly looked away from his friends. It would be pretty obvious he wasn't proud of anything he'd been up to lately.
"So erm...L-lou kicked me out..and I h-hung around there for a while..but...he obviously d-didn't want or NEED me around..." He whined a bit, thinking back to the day he discovered another band playing at the bar. "So um....I..heh, ...kinda just drugged out back there for a while?" The more he talked, the more nervous the poor kid got. It wasn't too long before he was shaking a bit and clinging to the pillow like a shield again. Really, at any second he expected an attack from his friends...even if it was just verbal. "And erm...my guitar...and...yeahhhh." Come to think of it..when WAS the last time he had been high? It seemed like forever ago and man could he use the stuff right now to calm him down... However, wasn't that what got him in this whole mess in the first place?
Still, the want was there, and his shaking got a bit worse as he thought on it.

Lali raised an eyebrow, but kept her voice pleasantly curious.
"So Lou kicked you out and you've been in that alley since? No wonder you were so muddy! And you told me you were going away quite a while ago..."
Lali shivered sympathetically, trying to imagine living out of an alley for several days. No wonder the poor kid was shakign so bad.
"You still have the copy of my house key, right? Why didnt' you come here if you were that bad off? Didn't you think I'd help?"
Now she just sounded hurt. She thougth Demy knew he could trust her even if there were times she wasn't exactly thrilled with him.

Spence watched the boy, feeling a brief touch of sadness for the once bright-eyed little pup who had followed him everywhere. To see him now, sitting on the floor, clinging to a pillow and shaking from the aftershocks of a bad drug addiction hurt the elder audio, though he'd never admit it.
"Dumbass," he elder sighed under his breath. He didn't waste any time wondering why the youth hadn't come to his place for help. The pair hadn't been on the best of terms since the band's breakup and quite honestly he wasn't sure if he'd have let Demy stay.

"I didn't want you to see me like that...but yes, I still have it..." Demy lifted the little star attatched to his collar, showing the house key hanging behind it. At least attached to that he'd never lose the key.
"I really missed you guys though...." It simply wasn't the same without the constant chance to playfully bug Lali, or follow Spence absolutely EVERYWHERE. Pft...why would they want him now when he was like this? Sure Lali might allow him around, but surely Spence wouldn't want a little druggie following him around.

Rather than answer, Lali knelt on the floor by Demy and reached out to carefully, but firmly hug him. As much as she wanted to, she couldn't stay mad at him. Not when he was shaking like a leaf and actign honest for the first time in ages.
"I hate to agree with Spence, but you can be such a dumbass at times," she muttered and smiled to show she wasn't angry. "But you're a well-meaning dumbass and we're still friends, got it? Now, you ready to tell us how you er.. changed? I won't force you to talk if you're not ready, but i think it would help you."

Spence snorted a bit. "'Bout time someone else recognized it," the elder snickered.

"Hey, shut up bitchface!" Demy snorted back at the elder.
The boy pondered an answer, leaning into the firm hug as he did so. The touch felt nice...after so many nights alone in alleys and gutters it was amazing feeling -wanted- again.
"I'm...not really sure. And that's the truth! I was like..there...and eheh...you know..." The boy fidgeted. He had been high that night, -very- high. "And there was this odd voice that said something about monsters and bringing things to light..and...heh, here I am?" Demy cringed. That voice...it said something about showing what he'd really become. Was this horrible monster -really- what he acted like?
"It ******** -hurt- too man..."

"Monsters and bringing things to light?" Lali frowned in puzzlement. Well, granted Demy had acted like a spoiled monster on more than one occasion, but someone doing this to him was a bit much. "And you couldn't see who it was doing the talking?"
Weird, she thought. Very weird. Though she had to smile slightly at the declaration of it hurting.
"Well, I would imagine suddenly having extra appendages ripping out of your body would hurt, cutie. Well."
She stared off into space for a moment, obviously thinking. After a moment, she shook her head and gave Demy another quick hug.
"I'll make you a deal, hon. Promise me you won't bring in and do any drugs here and I'll let you stay until we can figure out out a long term plan for you."

Spence choked on the cookie he'd just been eating. "What?! He can't stay here!!" the elder objected. He could just imagine the little pervert trying to get a peek of Lali in the shower or whining about being in pain until she let him sleep in the bed with her.

"No....though I don't think I'd remember if I -could-." Demy frowned a bit at the thought. He'd never know what did this to him, would he?
"You'd really let me stay he---" The boy started, but quickly went silent at Spence's little outburst. He gave it a brief moment of thought before adding on. "I...would miss Spence...he could visit, a lot, right?"

Throwing up her paws to the inevitable, Lali rolled her eyes and exclaimed, "Yes, you really could and so could he if he's that opposed to me being without a chapperone."
Growling slightly and flicking her fingers in Spence's direction, she snorted and half-grinned.
"You are going to be a right terror if you ever have female children, Spence."

"..I can stay?" Spence asked, gaping slightly. He hadn't expected the girl to offer to let him stay as well. At the thought of children, he snorted. "Eh....I'd only have them with you baby," the waiter grinned, winking.
