MegaTherion777 @ lo-lo - rofl @ ash- that's taking it a bit far. i just think politicians are weasels who are in it for their own good. im not a conspiracy theorist xd I know, that was partly another self-indulgent display. But my point is that there are a lot of powerful interests, both politically and ecnonomically, heavily invested in keeping many of the problems and inequalities present in our country alive. Those interests hold cards in Washington...lobbyists and corporate campaign contributions for instance.

MegaTherion777 lotusvoid ashlander_alpha lotusvoid MegaTherion777 i'm not complaining about the national government now, am i? i complained about my state's governor, but all i said was that our candidates sucked. although let's look at the logic of that statment - if i vote for one side, nothing's going to change, and if i vote for the other side, things may change, but they won't get any better. not saying they'll get worse, just that nothing's really going to change. so will my vote really make a difference? *lo-lo hears* whah I cant get what I think is ideal-wah-im emo-wah I wont get involded at-all-cause-that-will-totally-help-wha emo Actually, I find myself siding with Mega on this one. Really, a new face in the White House ain't gonna change much in a country such as ours, where the exploitative, gigantic, and shadowy power structure is so deeply embedded that elections are little more than puppet shows staged to give us the illusion of autonomy. I bet you dont vote or know what bills are in congress now either. did i say i didnt know what bills were in congress? twas an example. highlighting the general public's disintrest in the little cogs of the political machine till it does something they don't like (do you)?

lotusvoid I bet you dont vote or know what bills are in congress now either. 1. I'm in the same age boat as Mega. Sorry I wasn't born three years earlier.
2. If you're wondering whether I make it a point to watch C-SPAN daily, no, I don't. I read my local newspaper regularly and check headlines with my e-mail, however. I know that the big story right now is the President's proposal to lift the oil drilling ban on several protected refuges.

Divinus Cruor our drummer doesn't have a passport emo the rest of the band does, but mine expires august 30th. Four days after I go to EP and stare at a big big stage holding motorhead, testament and judas priest!! You're sure you are sure to be admitted into US with THAT passport? They usually expect the passport to be valid for at least the next 6 months after the time you pass the border to another country (or in other words - they expect your passport to be valid for at least as long as the maximum allowed time of stay for your type of a visitor). If I were you, I'd check this to make sure I don't need to get a new passport. The website of your Ministry of Foreign Affairs should normally hold necessary information, I would guess.

Mine is a 10 year visa, it's valid until it expires, period. Anyway, I am in the process of renewing it.
