Malachi gave another exaggerated gasp and let go of Crazy Hair lady's pant leg, falling to the ground and landing on his stick. He looked down at the stick for a moment, but then began laughing hysterically.
"That's just energy?" Rabid picked Malachi up and searched for any battle wounds.

Deimos was chuckling malevolently. "I bigger than Ike. I stronger."
Jizzy nodded, chuckling, much elss evily than ehr son. "He seems to just be havinga good time.. But then again, I have Deimos as a child, so my opinion is rather biased.."

Rabid, seeing no blood, rested Malachi on her hip.
"Yes. He always has fun," she smiled to Jizzy, and she then turned to Deimos, "You are."
Malachi reached down for his stick, almost whining.

Deimos' chest swelled with pride at Rabi'd aknoledgement, but as he saw Ike reach for the stick he was about to hand it to him when Jizzy yawned loudly once more..
"I think. I think Dei and I should get going.. Before I collapse..." She said, another yawn... "If you or.." She looked down at the small fanged child.. "You or Ike ever need a drink, just tell me and I'd be happy to give some." She said with a grin on her face as she waved from the stairwell.

"Thanks?" Rabid smiled and waved to Jizzy and Deimos as they left. She bent down and handed Malachi his stick before readying him to leave also. She didn't want to be alone reading again.
"Bah. Deh-ee!" Malachi yelled and waved, sadly watching Deimos walk away.

~Indoor Garden~
Rabid kneeled on a corner by a large flowerbed, tending to a red rosebush she's recently deemed as hers. She hadn't seen anyone around the HQ in quite some time, so she'd travelled up to the fourth floor to do...something...
Malachi lay on the edge of the fountain itself, resting his head on one arm and trailing a fingertip through the water. He was bored. Very, very bored.

The distinctive sound of basketball bouncing off the floor and the following echoes off the walls could be heard from somewhere near the stairs, and a moment later a toddler came into view - you guessed it, dribbling a basketball. The child's attention was fully on the ball, and he went running straight in the direction of Malachi, gaving not noticed him.
"Rex? Be careful you don't break or destroy anything!" Silencer.
"Yes mom!" Looking up just then, Rex's eyes widened. "Watch out!"
And in veering away just in time, the toddler's foot landed on a stray pebble, slipped, and fell straight into the fountain with an audible splash, spraying water in Rabid and Malachi's direction.
The ball, having slipped out of Rexier's hands, bounced one, two, three times, and rolled off towards Rabid.

Malachi's ears folded back and his pupils shrank drastically when the other boy called out to him. He sat up quickly and only recieved a few droplets of water to the face. He squinched his large red eyes closed against the spray and sat back like a frightened dog.
Rabid looked down as basketball met foot, and then glanced over at the toddlers in the fountain. Her reaction was not at all what she had expected it to be. She walked up to the fountain and offered a hand to the little brown boy...wait...did he have 2 heads?

Rex broke the water surface and gasped, breathing rapidly. Boy, was the water cold! Looking up around he saw Rabid with her outstretched hand, and gladly took it, smiling sheepishly.
"Sorry," the child said once out of the fountain, dripping wet. He pondered on shaking himself dry, saw poor Malachi, and decided against it.
"I, uh..."

Rabid pulled the boy out and then glanced around for any sign of a guardian. She'd heard a female voice, sure...but she didn't know from where.
"Hi. I'm called Rabid," she said with a sweet smile.
Malachi opened one eye and, feeling no water running into it, opened the other. He grinned broadly when he saw the new siamese-twin-of-sorts Mishap.
"Hi! M'name's Malachi, but everyone calls Ike 'Ike'! What's your names?"

"Nice to meet you, sweet-lady Rabid," Rex smiled up at her charmingly, then turned to face Malachi, grinning down cheerfully at the furry boy. The toddler seemed to have forgotten the fact that he was soaking wet, and reached a hand out towards him. "Hi Ike! M'name's kinda long, so you just call me Rex, and him," the child turned his head sideways, "is King. D--"
"Rexier Gaver!"
A figure dressed in complete black marched up towards the trio suddenly, panting slightly from the run up the stairs earlier, though her voice certainly did not sound like she had just had a work out. "What in the world did you do to yourself?" she asked, staring at her charge incredulously.
"I... uh, dribbled, ran and almost crash into Ike, but dodged him, and flew into fountain, and took a swim!" came the reply, all in one breath. "Ike okay, for'nately. I dodge good!"
"Krrr...." Good indeed.
"You almost-- Ike?" The guardian blinked, and looked around her. Noticing Rabid and Malachi, she went slightly pink, and nodded to them.
"Oh. Hi." she said with a smile.

Ike gladly shook the other boy's hand, ignorant to the water.
"Hi, Rex. Iss nice to meet you. Thankee for not ramming into Ike's head."
Rabid's head turned from the boy to his guardian. She blushed and smiled slightly.
"Hi," she said and pulled off her dirty glove before offering her hand to the woman. She had such strange luck with meeting new people...

"No problem. Rex never rams into any head." Rex shook Ike's hand, then bent over and whispered in his ears, "'Cept Mother's. Her head good for ramming."
Then the child returned to his upright pose, and searched around for the basketball-- ah there, beside a red rosebush. The boy sprinted off towards it, and returned shortly after. Maneuvering his way around Rabid, his mother and Ike, Rex made his way towards the fountain, and wahed off what dirt it had collected - unaware of the fact that the water from the fountain was supposed to be kept clean.
The boy bounced the ball twice to rid it off excess water, then offered it to Ike. "Ike play basketball?"
Silencer took Rabid's hand and shook it warmly. "Hi hi, nice to meet you. I dn't believe I've met you before; name's Silencer, and you are...?"

"Rabid."
Man, introducing yourself was hard with a nickname like that.
"Well, not really, but everyone calls me Rabid." She blushed slightly and gave a sideways glance toward the boys. She hadn't seen anything, as far as anyone knew.
Ike giggled at Rex's statement, and then looked down at the basket ball.
"Yanno, foun-teen is supposed to be c---whass basketball?"

"Rabid." Silencer echoed, and smiled. She followed Rabids gaze for a while, before breaking off elsewhere.
"Well. What are the both of you doing here, if I may ask?" She asked finally, then slapped herself inwardly. Goodness, what a stupid question.
"Ike not know basketball?" Rex asked, surprised. "Basketball is great game, you take bumpy ball," the boy patted the ball in his hands, "and run and dribble," this he demonstrated, dribbling the ball around the fountain then Ike, "and score through hoops high up in court." The boy wrinkled his face, trying to recall what the tall board thing was called.
"No good." The boy shook his head. "Rex forgot name." Perking up, he waved the ball around, and continued, "but 'tis fun! You get ter run around, and jump, and run, and steal ball, and run..."
