Lovell parted his lips and gladly accepted the kiss. It lasted a few moments, and then he pulled back, looking into her eyes. He smiled at her, but didn't say anything, for he had nothing to say that he thought wouldn't ruin the moment.

Eidel sighed as he pulled away. She slowly opened her eyes, realizing what had just happened. But oddly enough, she didn't feel guilty or bad in any way. She licked her lips and a smile tugged at the corner of her mouth.

Lovell smiled at her and winked. Then he began to walk back up to the shore, carefully still holding her around her waist. When he got there he sat her down and looked into her eyes.
"I think it's been a very lucky day, first saving you, spending time with you, then kissing you. Wouldn't you say so?"

Eidel sighed and tried to smile up at him. "I hate pushing my luck now, but...Do you think maybe I could stay with you tonight?" She mentally prepared herself for him to say no just in case. She didn't mind sleeping in a tree again too much. It only kept her awake half the night, after all.

Lovell hadn't been expecting that, but he certainly didn't mind her staying with him. He wasn't sure what her reasons were, but he didn't want to make her uncomfortable by asking.
"Sure you can, I don't mind at all," he told her.

"Thank you," she sighed as she nudged his chest. "It means a lot to me. I just," she paused for a moment and looked out arounds them, "I can't go home. Not yet."

He placed his paws on her shoulders and looked at her with compassion.
"Well...you don't have to. You can stay with me as long as you want. As long as your comfortable staying," he assured her with a smile.

Eidel nodded and smiled. "Thank you. You're very kind, sir," she took up the formal play as earlier and laughed. "Shall we be off then?"

"Of course, my lady." He bowed and then held out his arm in a manner for her to take it so that he could lead her.
