This only applies to if you use shikai/bankai with your animal powers, right? It doesn't matter if you just look like one?

Looking like one doesn't matter. As long as you aren't trying to use your animal self to bypass the restrictions on Bankai/Shikai.

For example:

My shinigami is a full blood kitsune. With that comes certain abilities. They tend to be minor in effect, transform into a full fox, change size, create copies of myself and confuse people. Those are minor powers, not really ones that will break a gaming session and make me the winner, just ones that either add a bit of spice to the RP or they have a limited effect on the roleplay.

However, if I was saying that I could create and use "Platinum Negative Soul Destruction" and slash my claws at an opponent, and five long blood red crescents came out and existed in the air, and flew fast toward the enemy and destroyed them by slashing their heart out of their chest, then that's a combat power that cannot be allowed. Saying I have it as part of my Kitsune self is still illegal since it is a power that doesn't add spice it is a power that is an attack in and of itself.

You will note that in my "powers list" that I made everyone come up with (and you all better have it ready), I used an aspect of my characters study (the elemental summoning and control) VERY limited in nature. Arguably I could use that to control every zanpakto in the Sereitei that is element based, but I specifically limited it so that it's not a power that is overpowering. Realistically if there were 5 millennia that I could study elemental magicks in, I would have all kinds of offense, defense and miscellaneous powers that I could call upon. But I've limited it so that I don't. That's to make it so *I'm* not God Modding and throwing the play off when I RP.

Those are the kinds of unbalancing powers that I am talking specifically about, and that these "animal powers" appear to attempt to create so that the whole power restriction is bypassed.

Looking like an animal is an effect, not a power. Using an animal's power to attack/defend in super-shinigami ways in roleplay are forbidden.

Ya I've been ok'd to have my animal powers stuff when I get my shikai but I just want to know if what I was doing before they were restricted. All I wanted with the animal powers was that the muscles would boost my speed and strength slightly, and my senses would be enhanced, meaning that I would be able to smell someone were ever they were and be able to hear were they are at and also be able to see in complete darkness.


So all I want to know is if these small powers are out of the question and I wont be able to use them or if they are allowed to be used?
