Anna poured herself one last glass of orange juice.
"I'd suggest talking with Kaien before you go about your duty. He could clear up a few things here and there much better than I can."
Anna, too, looked out the window to the outside world. They could go for a walk to the pond to see if he could pick up on anything... if he wanted to, that was.
"I'm so thankful to have you here, though. I didn't even know you were coming!"

The angel looked up at his friend and smiled slightly. "I didn't even know you were here! I was just as surprised as you were." Damien replied the elf, chuckling slightly.
After he finished his waffles and the rest of his water, he burped, satisfied. A faint pink dusted his cheeks as he nervously smiled and rubbed the back of his neck.
"I guess I kind of have to. Just to let him know I'm here and all."

"It might be a good thing," she said, giggling.

Once they seemed done, the waitress came over and handed them the check. Anna immediately fished out enough money to cover the whole thing, wanting to treat her friend.
"Would you like to see the area where the spirit appeared?" she asked, counting her money.

Damien looked at Anna and was about to say some before he remembered that he didn't have any money. He hadn't for a long time. So he just nodded before he stood up and stretched. Sitting down for even a short time always seemed to make him stiff.
"That would be nice."

"Then off to the pond we go." Anna gathered her purse, trusting that the money she left would be more than enough to cover the bill and tip.

As the black-feathered angel walked into the Inn, he felt unusually at peace.
He picked a small secluded table in a far corner and sat down. Once he waved off the waitress, telling her that her service was unneeded, he took out a small pouch of hard candy, his favorite, popped one in his mouth and sucked on it slightly.
He had been feeling slightly uneasy lately. Most likely because of the gate. He thought, concluding that that was his best answer as of now.
Now on to more important topics. The black-winged angel, Damien, had received a letter in the mail from a good friend of his, stating that Ichigo, his love interest, had been missing him terribly.
To bad Grove Academy isn't accepting anymore Keystone students right now. He thought, scowling slightly. To hear that Ichigo was depressed was alarming. Normally the wolf was as happy as a clam. Before they get eaten that is. He laughed mentally, remembering Nania's statement.
It was then that Damien decided that he was, indeed hungry, and having the money, waved the waitress over, smiling slightly as he gave her his order.

The blond stared up at the facade of the building as she passed it on her way back to the dorms and stopped in her tracks as her stomach protested loudly and she blushed, putting her hands over her abdomen, bags hanging from her forearms.
"Eh... The Principle... She said this place did have good food... Maybe..." MaryAnne muttered to herself and took the several steps to the inn and pulled open the door, instantly assulted with the scents of such an establishment but more importantly: food. A soft squeek slipped through her vocal chords and she went in, towards the dining area, sitting at a table near a window.
Nibbling her lip, she waited until a waitress came over and she ordered a one-minute egg, bacon, toast, orange juice and milk even though it was mid-day. She smiled graciously and thanked her waitress, patiently waiting for her order until it arrived. Once it was infront of her, she had to remind herself to mind her manners. Her stomach rumbled until she swallowed her first bite of her egg, cradled in its egg-cup, and she sighed, following that bite with one of toast, swallowing, then another of the crisp bacon. She savored the food and took a drink of her juice, finally bothering to glance about the room. Her eyes fell on the boy in the corner and she tipped her head as she scooped out another spoonful of egg and ate it.

The black-winged angel tensed as he not only heard, but felt the presence of another in the Inn. Student, likely, He thought, he turned his head slightly to look over to his side.
He noticed the girl and sighed slightly, going back to eating his eggs and bacon.
It's just a girl, He thought. Shouldn't be a problem. He continued, trying to convince himself. He relaxed slightly and hummed silently to an unknown melody, remembering his few friends humming it a few weeks back.
Then, unable to take the awkward silence anymore, he stood up. He placed some money on a table, hoping it would be enough and trusting that it wouldn't be stolen.
He then left the Inn quickly, not making eye contact with anyone except the waitress that had served him, thanking her quietly before he left.

The blond's posture faultered and she frowned, biting her lip. Was she that repulsive? He'd left right after he'd looked back at her. Sighing softly, she nibbled on the end of her last piece of bacon and started at her plate. She had a piece of toast left and one last bite of egg.
MaryAnne finished her egg and studied the little bottle of jam on the table before taking it, opening it and spreading the jam over her toast. She took a bite and smiled, glancing out the window. Thoughts of the young man flashed through her mind, Why did he flee like that? Did I do something wrong? Thank goodness I didn't introduce myself... Or maybe I should have? But... He felt like... I wonder if he was like me?

When she finished, the blond paid her check, stood and gathered her things, thanking her waitress and telling her to extend her compliments to the cook. She was tired and decided to head towards the dorms to find her room before dark.

Quaint. That's how Rosie viewed the inn through her designer glasses. It was cozy enough, with decent decorations... but nothing too extravagant. Maybe it was time to stop looking down at everything, Rosie thought, as she instead looked up to Colin.
"So, I guess this is where we both talk about ourselves, tell stories and stuff, right?" Rosie said, smirking. "I'm kinda new to this. I never was in a school long enough to make good friends... just to warn you."

She teetered back and forth on the heels of her shoes as they waited for someone to direct them to their seats. Would she stay at the Grove all the way through? Something told her she would.
Oh, how she desperately wished she would.

He smiled at her as a waitress with short dark hair came and led them to a secluded two person table by a window.
" It's no problem. My only two friends are girls, so I think I know what you mean." He rolled his eyes as he thought of those two.
" I've had a couple guy friends, but those two ive stuck with more." He shrugged. Part of it was that they wouldn't let him go anywhere else, dragging him off shopping or elsewhere, using him as a human packmule..but Colin didn't mind. He loved those crazy girls, like his sisters.

The waitress bustled back over with some menus and a pad of paper in her little hands.
" May I take your drink orders, please?" She asked, preparing herself with a pen paused over the little squares of parchment.
" Tea for me. Green, if you please." She smiled and turned expectantly to Rosie.

"I'll just have a water." Rosie didn't look at the waitress at all. She seemed far too preoccupied with her menu to lift her face to the stranger, but at least she had enough manners to tack on, "Please."
It seemed Colin was already having a good effect on her, whatever that was.

The woman left them after a smart little nod and promise that things would come soon. They always seemed to make that promise, she thought wryly.

"I stopped trying to hang on to people. They always ended up hating me anyhow." As soon as the aloof words came out, she immediately wanted to pull them back in. What a stupid thing to say, right as you meet someone. "Stupid things," Rosie added with a wave of her hand. "Nothing that matters."
PostPosted: Thu Nov 06, 2008 7:08 pm

Colin smiled, calmly folding one hand over the other after he decided on what he wanted.
" That is just how some people are. Some hate you, for reasons known or unknown, but it's very rare to find people who love you just as much as you love them." It seemed he was a fount and wellspring of wisdom. He smirked as she looked at him over the top of her menu.
" Ella and Danni are both a little...girlish.. for what I imagine your tastes to be, but with any luck, I'm sure you lot could end up as friends." He said, as if it was as simple as that. To him, it truly was.

The waitress bustled back over with their tea and water, placing it smartly infront of their designated owners.
" We need a few more minutes if that quite alright." He smiled at her, and she smiled back, heading back into the fray of customers to be waited on seconds after.

I've never loved anyone.
It was a very startling, depressing thought. And it was true. Rosie thought of everyone in her life, and couldn't find one person who she couldn't do without. Not one...

But she had to keep up with the conversation. "Girlish? Would you consider someone with a temper and snappy attitude to get along with them, or no?" No sense in hiding it, she thought. If Rosie didn't warn him about her shortcomings, he'd find out anyhow.

Her eyes wandered out to the rest of the crowd surrounding them. Who are these people? Rosie wondered. Who are they, where do they live, where are they going?
And how did I find myself sitting across from a hot foreign guy?
Regardless of the awkwardness she then found herself in, Rosie smiled sweetly.
