Hibiki Kita Hibiki walked out onto an empty part of the training grounds, looking around curiously. Fefnir had told him he do his zanpaktou training here with him or someone, but hadn't said where exactly to meet. His hands in his pockets, the new soul reaper wondered if he was in the wrong place. Fefnir was just about to start his final attack on Din when suddenly, out of nowhere, seven soul reapers grabbed him and pulled him off the training field. ".......What the hell just happened?" Fefnir said to himself with a totally confused look on his face. He quickly got his composure back, though, and noticed Hibiki off by himself, waiting for someone to train with. "Hey, kid!" he called as he deactivated his shukuchi and stopped the reiatsu in his eyes, "Come on over here, Hibiki!"

Hearing someone shout his name, he looked up and recognized Fefnir. Hurrying over, he came to a stop a few paces off. Pulling his hands out of his pockets he saluted the other soul reaper since he was a higher rank. "You called... are you going to train with me?" He asked almost worried that he was wrong.

Fefnir laughed lightly. "At ease, soldier! You're way too nervous for something this trivial," He smiled broadly, tilting his head to the side. The way Fefnir was acting, it was almost like he hadn't just finished an intense fight. "But yes, I called you over to fight a little. I'm a little worn out, but I'll be fine," Fefnir looked back at Hibiki, a dynamic look in his pupil-less eyes, and paced around the soul reaper for a moment. "Hmm... Haven't seen you around much. You probably don't have your Shikai. Well! No matter. As long as you have a blade of some kind, you'll be fine," Fefnir stopped his circut in front of Hibiki, and since his blade was still out, he held it at the ready in the Seigan stance, a basic form that places the blade leveled at the right shoulder, parallel to the ground with the tip pointing toward the opponent. He slid his left leg in front, and dispelled his Shikai release. Immediatly, a change came over Fefnir, and his face showed nothing but determination and focus on the fight at hand. All traces of his former kindness were gone as quickly as they had appeared. "Your move. I'll give you the first strike. No holding back, now!" Fefnir proclaimed, his kind smile now warped into a twisted grin filled with bloodlust.
((OOC: Hibiki, mind if I add you to my friends list? I've got this thing about good RPers and adding, so would you mind?))

Hibiki relaxed as Fefnir laughed, chuckling weakly. "You're right, I don't have my Shikai yet, but thanks for training with me anyways," he said, and smiled. Unsheathing his katana, and nodded as he was told to take the first strike. His opponent had changed in a split second from friendly and to stoic and unreadable. Lunging forward Hibiki held his katana in both hands tight and swung at Fefnir's left.

Fefnir quickly blocked the strike by tilting his blade to the right and downward, then pushed into the space left open by the move. "Gonna have to do better than that, boy!" Fefnir cackled, then turned his hilt toward Hibiki, preparing to make a strike at his nose with it. At the same time and in the same movement, he pushed his opponent's blade upward and out of his own way. The blow was quick, and had enough strength behind it to break bone.

As his blow was blocked, Hibiki's heels dug into the ground to stop him. Throwing his head back to barely avoid the hilt coming at his face, he found himself off balance and slipping backwards. s**t! With his blade that Fefnir had pushed out of the way Hibiki pushed off the ground into a crouch to keep a low center of balance because he was already unsteady and slashed at the legs.

Fefnir jumped back to avoid Hibiki's strike, but not quite far enough. Hibiki's zanpokuto sliced a razor-thin cut cleanly on Fefnir's left shin. It wasn't deep, but hurt nonetheless, and would bleed badly. His reflexes are good... Fefnir thought, He's got potential. Fefnir drew his blade back, and, leading with his left foot, stepped strongly into a strike from the right, low and at Hibiki's left thigh. The slash was extrememly quick, and a small whorl of dust followed the path of the blade, making it that much more impressive to see.

Seeing the slash coming Hibiki rolled to his right to try and dodge, only to get caught on the calf with the blow. Because he was moving away as it hit it wasn't too deep a wound but his leg was stiffening, not wanting to move easily. Trying a new tactic, he thrust his blade a Fefnir's side in a stabbing motion rather than a slash as he took time to move his now slower leg after his body.

red_moon_wolfess Arthion smirked as Tenchi's eyes flew open like some sort of comedic cartoon who is about to get smashed by a ten ton anvil. But now that he thought about it he thought Tenchi would take the anvil to his foot any day. Sadly his line of thought was rudely interrupted by several rather sharp feathers ram themselves into his tender toes. Even worse was that he didn't bother to stop his stomp. The result of this was Tenchi being pinned to the ground and several sharp feathers slowly digging themselves into his toes. Blood oozed from the wounds all over Tenchi, making the already battered angel look like he had gone through hell. And as he predicted, Arthion stared down at the angel, shocked that he had actually managed to hit him. "Does this mean I win?"He asked, sounding a little confused as well as slightly victorious, not to mention completely pompous. ------------------ Yuki was still sad angry and sad and frustrated at being so far away from Nagi, dispite his promice to visit her as often as possible. She just knew it wouldn't be near as often as it was before. She was looking determinedly down on the ground with a sort of defiance only possible when one is sad and pissed at the same time..... Happily she couldn't stay in this state for long. Nagi was kind enough to provide comic relief. Yuki snorted out some laughter as she turned around in her jogging to jog back to him. When she was directly in front of him she crouched down right in front of him and smiled, waiting for him to look up at her. "And that's why I love you."She said with a grin so wide it could only mean she was holding back some laughter. Coldly glaring up at the haughty dragon, Tenchi just let out a "tch" and grinned a bit. It was obvious that by now the dragon's size finally took its toll on him. The angel's ability did not effect the other spirit nor did his feathers do much damage to that thick hide. He got a few hits in but it wasn't enough to take the dragon out. Out of moves and ideas, Tenchi was defeated. Though he had his pride, he was not the type to be so childish as to beg for his life or argue with the fact that he had lost. In fact, a dragon's heavy foot crushing him while he lay there covered in the dragon's blood seemed like a honorable way to die. He felt it was more worthy than to be killed by some shinigami or human. "Why don't you just kill me then?" Tenchi sneered, unable to lift his arm to wipe the blood that ran down his face and over one of his eyes. "It wouldn't be very difficult you know. I was out to kill you so why not return the favor?" ------------------ Laying on his back, Nagi glanced back up at the woman snickering down at him. With his face incredibly red now, he was embarrassed by what just happened. At least she's smiling now... Mission accomplished. It was amusing how nostalgic this situation was for the scene reminded him of the first time they met. It was unfortunate how their time as normal shinigamis was so short lived. Now their time was reduced to this... He could feel Yuki's pain though he didn't express it out on his sleeves like she did. Nagi had always felt that his duty should come before personal matters but he never expected to ever feel this way about somebody. It was just that kind of pain that he could grow to actually hate. Despite this, he had to remain strong and carry on with a positive attitude. Being sad wasn't going to fix anything. He was just thankful for the time he had with her and he was going to spend every minute of it with a smile on his face. With that, he rolled over onto his stomach and shifted his left leg under him so that he was now kneeling. "I'm glad you love me for my clumsiness. It's one of my better qualities." He chuckled at the slightly conceited remark as he reached down and placed a hand on her cheek and lightly poked her on the bottom lip with his thumb. "As long as it makes you happy."

Arthion snapped out of his pompous, and slightly confused state to shift his weight so most of it bore down on his arms and legs. The feathers where still slowly digging into his tender toes like burrs, but he ignored it for the time being and resolved to pull them out when this was over. He personally didn't want to waste effort on killing someone so close to Yuki... Even if Yuki herself didn't admit it.
"Wile you are correct, I could just stand here and let you slowly drown on my blood.... But it would be a pointless death, and I make a point of avoiding that."
He said, sounding like an old veteran, talking down to a young hot-headed newbie who didn't quite get the concept of mortality yet. Arthion shifted his weight again so he would look closer to a cat that wasn't hungry enough to eat a bird he has just caught.
"Now you should tell me, exactly what are you trying to prove?"
------------------------
Yuki leaned over and gave him a quick peck on Nagi's lips, before pulling away with a smile. She quickly stood up and offered her hand to help him up. He didn't have much in the way of pride so she expected him to take it... Another thing she liked about him.
"We should head back to check on those two before they kill eachother."

Trying a new tactic, he thrust his blade a Fefnir's side in a stabbing motion rather than a slash as he took time to move his now slower leg after his body. Fefnir flipped his blade to his left, just barely touching Hibiki's enough to redirect it behind himself. "Getting closer!" he taunted, and as his opponent slid behind him, he flicked him in the forehead. It seemed Fefnir's innate competitive nature was fading with fatigue, leaving his more fun-loving side again. He's a nice kid... Fefnir thought, Hope he'll stick around in Sqaud 13. He's got a lot of potential. Definatley a strong candidate for that...
((Devil's in the details, Hibiki. Describe as much stuff as you can about your moves, KK?))

Redirected again, Hibiki gritted his teeth looking for an opening quickly. Using his blade's new position to his advantage and slashed up towards his back, taking his left hand off of the hilt and stepped forward on his right foot, flowing up the slash with a thrust of his fist towards Fefnir's gut.

She quickly stood up and offered her hand to help him up. He didn't have much in the way of pride so she expected him to take it... Another thing she liked about him. "We should head back to check on those two before they kill eachother."Feeling the pressure on his ribs diminish a bit, Tenchi did not bother moving from where he lay. Even though the dragon was much larger than he, Tenchi did not entirely appreciate being talked down to in such a manner. It seemed that they both had something major in common for there was no doubt that they were arrogant in their own way. "Nothing really..." Tenchi replied simply. "I wanted to take on the strongest opponent possible to see if I was able to win or come out even. In doing so, I learned something about you that sets us apart in so many different levels... It's almost funny that you are most likely three times my age yet there is so much you do not know... You know... I bet Nagi would be so much better off without me. He could gain a real zanpaku-to just like you and all the others. It must be nice not having a memory to hang on to."------- Nagi's face flushed a bit as Yuki turned away. Snapping from this thoughts, he realized that her hand was there to lift him to his feet. This made him smile, seeing such a small woman (compared to him) offer such a gesture. Yuki was Yuki though. She was always big in her own way with that fire always burning within her. That was what Nagi loved about her the most. Whatever strength she possessed was always what Nagi lacked. They were nearly the opposite on all grounds yet they were so compatible with each other like two pieces of a puzzle. It was a perfect fit. Reaching out and grasping her hand, Nagi felt the sudden urge to stay upon his one knee. He had to say something... at least get it off his mind. Unfortunately, he suddenly grew so nervous that in no time at all, he was back on his feet again- only to notice that his knees were shaking a bit. "You're right." he smiled as he lifted her hand and kissed it before letting go. "Let's go."

Arthion laid down and puffed out his chest at the comment. Truly this was a strange soul, Arthion did have memories, although they where precious few. So he found it odd that Tenchi had so many, the way he was born was also a mystery to him, he thought all Zanpacto's where born by death.
"Well, be that as it may... It is a decision that you and Nagi should make together.... Mayhaps Yuki as well...And although I might look three times your age, I am really not that old. I was born in Yuki's death, by fire. I am hardly a few years old."
He said, looking old and all knowing. He smiled at the end of his statement, as he acknowledged Tenchi's age. True, the angel was probably several times older than he, but because of how Yuki was, Arthion got the appearance of age despite his youth.
"Zanpacto's don't physically age, to my knowledge, so I will appear like this forever."
------------------
Yuki pulled Nagi to his feet and felt the need to support him even after he was standing, he seemed to be nervous. His legs looked like jelly as he kissed her hand. She blushed, her mind running through all the possibilities of why he could be shaking so badly.... O.O... No, wait, calm down... Yuki sighed and started walking slowly back to the two Zanpactos, holding Nagi's hand.
"Your shaking..."
She told him, hoping that would get him to comment as to why he was shaking so badly. Hopefully the fall wasn't that bad!

Finding it somewhat amusing that the dragon was making himself comfortable without moving his gigantic foot off of Tenchi's chest, the angel just lay there, listening to the "wise" words of an actual zanpaku-to. He was content where he was at really. It was somewhat odd how he felt so comfortable laying there on the ground and soaked with blood. This was just one of the many differences that set him apart from his lighter half.
The more Tenchi listened, the more he realized that there was a lot he didn't know about being a zanpaku-to just like how Arthion didn't know what it was like to live as a human. He had no idea that he was so different. It seemed as if his birth as a soul slayer was completely backward. Arthion's last statement made him wonder if their aging process would be reversed as well. It would be somewhat funny to see Nagi stay young forever while the angel aged and turn into a crusty old man.
It was weird to see a dragon smile. Tenchi frowned as his cold black eyes trailed away. "Feh... odd that I at least got a little benefit from this..." he sighed, unable to believe what he was about to say. Though Tenchi was unfeeling of any emotion, he did not possess the hesitation that Nagi wold have felt. If something was on his mind, Tenchi wasn't about to shy away from it. "We are exactly the opposite... we're never going to get along but you've earned my respect. If you or Yuki ever need anything of me don't hesitate to ask."
--------
"I'm fine." Nagi smiled as they began to head back.
It was difficult to believe that he'd feel so disoriented with Tenchi so far away and out of his head for so long. He wasn't shaking so much anymore and he wasn't so worried about stumbling on anything. The tension was finally starting to loosen up a bit as they got closer to where the zanpaku-to were. He never thought he'd look forward to having the darker half back where he belonged.
