Role Play Sample: (My RP Example will be from the time before Yu became a shinigami.)

The day began unusually hot, even for the bloated and cramped district that was the Eightieth. He had been dreaming again, of what he had to stop to remember. His mind growing fuzzier on the subject until he saw the image carved into his wall, the phoenix. It continued to show itself to him in his dreams, calling him forward, but each time he began to speak his name someone awoke the boy. Today though, felt especially awkward, silence, nothing came from the floor below, no cries of his mother over the heat and no sounds of his father's training. Training, that was it, he had slept in late, for the first time in seven years. Running down the stairs though he saw a somber scene, his mother, soaking wet and cold in his father's arms. She was dead, drowned by the looks of her white skin, blue lips, and the sopping man over her, sobbing his eyes out over her suicide.

"What happened, father?" Young Yu would ask the aged man as he drew in closer, looking down to his mother's corpse. She seemed to have died frightened, but she didn't seem as if she had been fighting her death either. Her clothes were not torn, nor were they stained by anything but the bleeding dye from the cold waters.

"Father, tell me what happened to mother!" The boy cried out as he reached forward, the old man shaking his head. He knew his son had a gift, a power not meant to be restrained to a hovel in Rukongai, and not in this place where it could fester and become tainted.

"You killed her, Yu. This heat, the loss of her mind... She cried out in the night, complaining of the heat, how she felt she was burning alive inside. And each night we saw the smoke from your rooms. Yet never was there an actual fire. This morning she cried out again, fearing the source of the damages was her, she jumped into the river, seeking to relieve herself of the searing flames." The man began, crying harder over her corpse as he let his hands slide down the back of her head and to her neck, before kissing her lips one last time.

"Yu, you've got to leave this place. Take our savings and your mother's books. Go inward, find the inner districts of this accursed place, and find a shinigami. You'll be recognized. The money should get you through your academics and help you on in life. The books, let them remind you of..." The man stopped and softly sighed, looking down to the woman he moved to the table, resting her corpse out before walking back to his son with a new agenda.

"Let them further educate you, and bring us peace. I... I didn't have much fight left in me son, and this, her death, took my last. I will continue on until my body gives out, this is the last promise I can make you." He finished, handing the boy two backpacks, before opening the door with a shovel in hand.

"Do not linger, Advance and move onward. For us. Let her pass in peace, and in time, come to make sure I do as well." Were his last words as the man disappeared from Takahashi Yu's life forever.

From this point the young man would follow the words of his father, never lingering, but never letting himself be forced away from the places he would wish to reside. When he made his way to the inner districts of Rukongai and set his eyes on the walls of Seireitei he smiled, finding himself in the presence of several shinigami would be something different though, as they didn't seem to think it proper that a man dressed in rags with bags as large as himself should be in such a place. Though as they questioned him an unnamed captain would speak out and ask the man his intentions. When replied with applicably the captain offered him passage through the gate and into the sanctuary that was Seireitei.

It's not my in line with every post I reply to, as I can only work with what I'm given by the other posters, but it works for his back history. I'm hoping I can gain a seated position as well, though I won't be greedy, I get what I get.

Role Play Sample:Kai lay lazily in the grass. Shading his eyes slightly with his hand, he glanced up into the sky, imaging the shapes of the cloud. One particular curvy one reminded him of a snake. Another one that was a bit blunt and rounded stirred images of koala in his mind. The last thought caused him to fiddle with the hilt of his zanpaku~to.

Smiling slowly, Kai stood up, unsheathing his zanpaku~to. He rested the blade over his shoulders, hanging his arms around. Gazing intently at the ground, he forced the earth to shift, the reiatsu pouring through him. Slowly, chunks of dirt rose up, forming the shape of a playful koala.

Role Play Sample: Mikoto jumped onto his bed, and crossed his arms behind his head. He yawned, and stared at the ceiling. No matter how stupid it sounded to other people, he was going to try and look through the ceiling. He heard in books that people's gazes can pierce, so he was going to try to do that. To the ceiling.

After an hour of failure, Mikoto decided to give up. "Well that sucked." He told himself. He walked over to the living room, and turned on the radio. When a song came on, he started to dance. There was a particular song that he liked, that just happened to play while he was dancing. So he started to sing while dancing. "We're going down, down! In an earlier round! And sugar, we're going down swinging! I'll be your number one with a bullet! A loaded God complex, c**k it and pull it!" His singing filled the whole house. When the song was done, he leaped on top of the couch. He sighed audibly when his back hit.

"There's nothing to do in this world!" He whined, while squirming around in chibi fashion. He made a >.< face while he squirmed. Eventually, he was done wiggling around. He got up off of the couch, and opened the door. He winced when he saw the sun, because he hadn't had any light on in the house. "It buuuuurns!" He yelled idiotically. When he adjusted, he put on his shoes and ran outside. He trotted off through the gate of his house, and to the training grounds. He was done being lazy for now, and wanted to do something productive.

The night was silent as Fujustu entered a park. She slowly walked with her head down. Her sword banged against her with every step she took. As she walked, a small breeze blew from behind her. She stopped and turned her head. A dark figure was slowly following her. She quickly grabbed her sword and started running at the figure. As she got closer, she began to slow down till she had stopped completely. She returned her sword to its sheath and looked at the figure. It was only a human. The human walked passed her as if she was not there. She turned her head and looked at the human. "That was a close call." she whispered to herself. A Senkaimon appeared next her and began to open. She turned her head back. "Time to go already, well this place was no fun anyway." she said as she walked into the Senkaimon.
