"Ladies and gentleman, we have our volunteer. Let's show our appreciation for her courage with a round of applause!" The audience complies, and the assistant/announcer, a young human female, comes over to lead Mikora up the steps to the stage. Once she's up on the stage, Alerin asks while holdiing out his hand in a position of entreaty, "Young lady, what is your name so that the fine people of this audience might know of your braver?"

"U..um...M...Mikora," she squeaks, grinning nervously, her face turning yet brighter.

"yay go Mikora!" she cheerfully yells from her spot in front of the stage

"Well, Mikora, have you ever wanted to just float effortlessly above the ground?' Alerin was getting ready to do his levitation trick, and it was actually magic. Flight might not be new to a celestial, but floating without the use of wings was another matter. It tended to be a real-crowd-pleaser, too. Nodding to the assistant, who pulls out a chair from behind one of the side curtains and sets it in the center of the stage, he leads Mikora over to the chair and gently seats her. "Please hold onto the chair and don't move too much," he whispers to her during that time. Stepping around to stand behind the chair, Alerin intones, "Inductra evora levios!"
The words were complete nonsense, but he knew the trick to casting spells without needing to speak any words, and the motion of his hands were those for a real levitation spell. The chair slowly rises up into the air at the direction of his will, to the gasps of most of the audience, and he has the chair float up and over the audience.

gasps along with the rest of audience her eyes wide as she watches Mikora and the chair suddenly floating in the air "wow"

She blinks when he mentions floating above ground and only gets more nervous when he tells her to try not to move too much. Though, as frozen as she was, that was easy enough. She squeals, wide-eyed, when the chair flies out over the audience. She liked flying-when she was the one in control.

Part of the act involved using exaggerated gestures, and Alerin gestures with his hand to make the chair slowly rotate above the crowd before bringing it back in to a safe landing on the stage. Much to Alerin's amusement, the act had drawn even more attention to his part of the circus, and it makes him smile behind the mask. "Ladies and sirs, let's give a big hand to our brave volunteer!" he beckons to the crowd, going back to his customary pose once the chair has landed. The assistant comes over to lead Mikora off the stage.

Mikora's blush had started to fade but she still grins nervously as she's led away to rejoin Nim. "How'd I do...? she asked her, in about as quiet a voice as she could use and still be heard above the roar of the crowd.

(Skipping forward because I'm having problems thinking up of every single act)
Alerin show continues, alternating acts that were mere sleight-of-hand with true acts of magic. The point was to leave the common people guessing at whether it was real magic or not, and yet still walk away entertained. A much larger crowd had gathered by the end, with people standing at the back and edge, by the time the show wraps up. Thanking the audience for being a wonderful audience, he bides them an enjoyable rest of the day and disappears from the stage in the same manner as he always ended his shows, leaving an empty smoke cloud on stage while he reappeared behind stage. It was his last show this afternoon, though he had one more that would occur after night had fallen. "Phew, this thing gets warm,' he comments to himself, removing the mask and hat before relaxing on a crate. All in all, a good show.

After the show ends, Mikora looks over at Nim. "So what do you want to do now?" she asks.

Mikora giggles. "Ok. Sounds good." She heads off in the direction of Mora, the old woman who told the fortunes. She'd heard stories of her from some of the circus members that came into the Laughing Boulder every year.
