Aojin I haven't read every post here but I just want to say something that hopefully might help people, idk. I am christian, and I was born in a christian family. I was never sexually harassed in my life ever or anything like that. but, I have always liked men and I've wished I was a girl for most of my life too (I'm a boy). I didn't KNOW I liked men when I was little, but I got "funny feelings" from muscular men and stuff, and I always thought I would grow up and start liking girls one day, but now I'm almost 18 and it never happened, and I realized a few years ago I get turned on by men :/ I don't know if I was "born with it", but I know it was unchangeable and I never made a choice. it may have to do with the fact that I decided from a very early age (2 or 3) that I wanted to be like mommy (not like sex change and all, even though I really do want to be a girl now) and not daddy because mommy was nice and understanding and daddy spanked me a lot. I never had an intention of "going gay" though, I actually planned on being straight until puberty kicked in and I realized it several years later.
SO, point is, I know for a fact that it was not a choice and honestly I do not expect straight people to understand it because it's really something they can't relate to (except how they didn't choose to like who they like). but, personally I do not think gay marriage is right. I think the reason God says homosexuality is wrong is because all lust is wrong, but unlike straight relationships, gay people can't have children, so there is absolutely no other reason for them to have sex besides lust. Honestly, no one should be having sex except to have children in my opinion, because it's wrong and it tears us down. even "romantic sex" isn't excusable, there's still lust involved. I can't really talk though because I still want sex and such :/ fortunately I have never had it yet ;D There is nothing wrong with being gay or liking men. If a Christian bashes you for it, they are wrong, and thus will burn in hell, because they do not know love a brother unconditionally. Homosexuality is being accepted throughout the world more and more every day only those who are ignorant to unconditional love and a modernistic society find it wrong.
And, since you've never had sex, no wonder you're talking like that. rolleyes Sex is an art, silly boy, that only a handful can properly master. I'm not talking about porn, I'm talking about the true passion of lovemaking, when a person loves another, and this is how they express it. God wants us to be happy, and if it is by having sex for pleasure, then so be it.

sic742617000027 There is nothing wrong with being gay or liking men. No genuine Christian tolerates and accepts sin because he truly loves God.
"Pay attention to yourselves! If your brother sins, rebuke him..." ~ Luke 17:3
sic742617000027 Sex is an art, silly boy, that only a handful can properly master. I'm not talking about porn, I'm talking about the true passion of lovemaking, when a person loves another, and this is how they express it. God wants us to be happy, and if it is by having sex for pleasure, then so be it. God instituted sex for pro-creation and marriage.
"Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body." ~ 1st Corinthians 6:18-20
"Now concerning the matters about which you wrote: “It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.” But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband. To the unmarried and the widows I say that it is good for them to remain single as I am. But if they cannot exercise self-control, they should marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with passion." ~ 1st Corinthians 7:1-2, 8-9

So how are you defining marriage? Are you defining it as marriage in the eyes of the law? The eyes of the Lord? Do you think that Joseph and Mary stood in front of a preacher and sat through a ceremony, then took a marriage license down to the local notary? Do you honestly believe that back then, when this big old book is based (not written) that a husband and wife were any more than two people who pledged their lives to each other in the name of the Lord, sometimes in front of a religious holy man, but more often than not in their own homes?
Religious dogma makes me ******** sick. Over-bearing social conservatives who spout the "love of Jesus" while railing against their brothers make me sick. Pretentious bible-thumpers who claim to know just exactly what God expects from you to lead a sin-free life and then sit down to a shrimp dinner make me sick. Prop 8 makes me sick. Prop 2 makes me sick. Those who look down their noses at unmarried couples solely for the fact that they live together and aren't "married" make me sick.
I do not hate God, I love him/her, but I hate how modern Christianity has turned us away from him and from what he wants. From this point on any reference to "the religious man" is pertaining to Rush Limbaugh and the like of neo-conservatives. "Here, use all the plants and herbs that bear seeds" But the religious man tells us that pot is sinful. "Love me, and love thy neighbor" But the religious man tells us that your neighbor is lower than you unless he thinks and acts like you. "You are all equal and loved under my eyes" But the religious man tells us that the brown man, the black man, the yellow man, they are conspiring against the white man (because apparently we're more important and I guess the Middle East was full of white people when Jesus walked).
Oh and hey. If you're going to be literal with the Bible when it comes to passing judgement on others, don't half-a** it, take it all the way. Yeah okay, a man laying with another man is an abomination. So is trimming your beard, and wearing cotton and spandex clothing. So is having any form of contact with a menstruating woman. But it's totally cool to sell your daughter into slavery to cover your own debts.
Let's also remember that a good half of the Bible is over two-thousand years old, and times were different back then. "Oh but that is the old-testament we Christians follow the new one!" Yeah that's what you say, but every time somebody whips out a "Gays are sinning" or "Masturbation is evil" or even a "Premarital sex is a sin" guess which end of the Good Book they are dipping into? Well, maybe not so much the Premarital Sex part, but I still want you to define "Marriage" for me.
tl;dr Modern conceptions of social conservatives issues do not translate into what God /actually/ wants, unless we're going South Baptist God, in which case all he/she wants is to make you feel bad about yourself.

This guild makes me sick. It's frustrating to see all of these "non-christians" who come here and try to tell me that they know more about my own religion than I do. Though, I am against gay marriage, I have never once, not ONCE, used a biblical reference in my arguments. Personally, I don't think I should use my religion as input when making new laws for all of the people, but I had many different reasons for not wanting gay marriage.
