((On second thought, I'll wait until I know for sure whether you'd prefer seperate threads for Character Profiles similar to Journals or one single thread created by the PAck Mule (*giggles* That sounds worse than it is...) for us to post our character profiles in.))

 ((hmm good idea..)) River looked at Diego and smiled, "Ok Diego is going to stay here and look after Desert and Cinder!" She smiled looking towards the two pups to find one missing, "Great.." She sighed as she looked to the others. "Ren your in charge, take them hunting. Koen you can lead them though if Ren says anything you do what she says. I am going to go and find the young pup. That all understood yes?" She sighed once more, turned to Diego and licked at his maw, whispering I love you into his ear. "Right I am going to find Desert!" She now turned to Cinder, "Please stay with Diego, I won't be too long!"

 *sitting back on her haunches, Inazuma listened to the new orders, nodding slightly. Turning her gaze to Koenshan then to the brown and white female she waited for them to be ready. She was not used to all of the pack behaviors, having not been in a pack since she was but a young pup.

 Blinking, he barely had time to register River's words before she was gone. He was second in charge of the hunt? Schooling both his surprise & fear Koenshan shifted his gaze to the one called Ren. She was the she-wolf who had nearly unnerved him when he passed before. Somehow managing to keep his calm he grinned nonchalantly at her. "So... where should we hunt?"
At least Ren looked like she might now what she was doing. Despite her obvious injuries the she-wolf held herself well; almost as if she was used to being in charge. Koenshan wondered whether her wounds would keep her from the hunt, but now that she was its leader if she stayed or not would be her choice.((*cheers* Booyakah! I didn't miss much!))

She had been listening intently despite what her posture had said and she didn't quite like the fact of being ordered to do something. Go and hunt? She huffed and drew in a deep breath, determined not to get annoyed. She had agreed to this after all...and she was in charge of the hunt...right?
Cursing silently under her breath the old she wolf stood and drew in a shaky breath. Since being here in the packlands her paws had rested but they were still raw from the constant walking. Her body ached as if she was ten years older and the spirit that had long gone from her eyes gave her a close to death appearance. It was her pride alone that allowed her to do this.
"Very well." A wolf of little words she gazed upon the other wolf, the one who was to lead and stiffened a little. The male? Sirena did not get on well with males...and if this one was to lead...well...he better not make any mistakes.
"If we are after big game then the meadow I passed through on the way here would be a good place, I saw tracks of deer in the soft mud." She blinked and straightened her long legs, padding out of the cave and passing beside the waterfall.

With more confidence than he felt, Koenshan rose after Ren. He tried to count who might be joining them.. but it did not make him feel better. Unless there were other adults he had not met it looked like it would be Cinder, Ren, & himself. That can't be right... a juvenile, an injured wolf & me? I've always been one of the prey-herders... never one who went for the kill. That honor was above my station. He glanced at Ren. She was not showing her pain, but her wounds were evident enough. She would not be able to run anything down in her condition. They would have to think smart. But could he do it?
He nodded at her suggestion of a meadow & the tracks and followed behind her half a pace, hoping the "rest" of the Hunt would follow. "Ren..." He nearly faltered, not certain how to broach the idea. The way she held herself he felt sure she would not like to be reminded of her current weaknesses. "With this small of a hunting party a long chase is beyond us. What would you suggest we could do to catch more intelligently?"
Holding his breath, Koenshan waited. Diplomacy had never been his thing. He could only wait to see if his effort was enough.
He really hoped he was up to this.(( He hopes he's up to this? I hope I'm up to this! xd ))

It had always been herself as head huntress, back when she had been alpha, back when she had been lone. Now it seemed that she would have to step down this time, let others do the work that she prided on doing.
He spoke her name and she slowed in her step, bringing her head round to gaze upon him for a brief moment. He worded his thoughts carefully and she gave him a sly grin, a glitter of teeth seen between parted lips. It was going to be tough, but not impossible.
"This will indeed be a hard hunt, it shall test our strength and wits." She paused in her words for a brief moment and continued her pace. "Our group is pitiful but we are wolves and have been hunting since the birth of the moon. We shall rise and overcome those who are food, we shall feast this day." She sounded like a general, trying to boost morale amongst the troops. "It is unlikely we shall be able to pick off one of the larger, so perhaps we will find a youngster, one who was born this year." They would be larger now, but still smaller than the adults and less experienced when facing a foe.
"As it is quite obvious I am not able to give chase I shall be the distraction, I shall put the fear into their hearts and herd them towards you and the pup. Go for the one that seperates, throw yourself without fear and sink your teeth into it's throat. That is the goal."
Her eyes glittered with a dangerous edge and a low growl rumbled in her chest. "If we fail there will not be another chance this day." It was a brief description of the plan, but she would extend on it if questions were asked on the way.

Though no one really indicater for her to follow them to the hunt, the young adult silver and sapphire wolf rose to her paws and followed a short distance behind them. Her muscles had grown since she had started her journey away from her devistated home-lands, in a few moons she should be considered an adult. As they headed towards the meadow she had passed throuh when she trecked towards the waterfall, she silently followed behind.

"Of course." Koenshan nodded his ascent. It was a wise decision. Although he was not fond of going for the young, it certainly would taste better. Still, deep in his heart he hoped there was an elder who felt their time was up & was instead the first to break away. Perhaps it would mean more meat as well, if less tender.
He nodded smiled gently as the younger wolf joined them. "Do you have the plan in your mind?"

Upon hearing the green and blue's words, she shiftered her gaze towards him, ears swiveling towards him. He was asking her? Her head cocked to the side slightly before she looked away slightly. "...This is my first real hunt.." She said quietly. "I have never brought down anything larger then a rabbit..."

River returned rather quickly with the young pup in her mouth. She was limping slightly and blood was still pouring from her neck. She passed the other wolves who were heading out, dumped the pup in a corner and collapsed. She had no energy now, the gash in her neck was still bleeding and didn't seem to have any intention of stopping. It was rather strange that a small pup did this to her but she wouldn't give the pack too much information unless it was necessary to. She groaned a little and licked at her paw, trying to clean it though she couldn't reach the gash in her neck to lick that clean.
She looked up at her pack and then laid her head down, closing her eyes. This was to much and she needed to rest.

Desert whined and looked at River, feeling that he was responsible for what had happened to her. She was so proud and strong, and now, she had been injured and weakened. If only he hadn't wandered off, this would have never happened. If only he had been stronger, then he wouldn't have needed her help tp get away from the pups. If only, if only...
He sighed and laid next to her, trying to be some form of comfort. Soon, he too closed his eyes and fell into a healing, restful sleep
