Meesha twitched “Ok right over there. I’m glad you liked it.” Meesha pointed at the fire pit with a pile of cooked meat. “Just save some for jerky, ‘cuz I loves me some jerky.” Meesha looked back at Emerald, she was disgusted. “Sortai do you know what it is?” Meesha looked at him, “no but I think I do, I think that dragons Mom is coming to eat us!!!” Lamkit cowered behind Teka for protection.

"Alright then. We'll just kill it, have a few drinks, and be be singing Kumbaya before sundown." Teka reached for his claymore, but felt only the leather strap. "Where's my....You got to be kidding me! Did anyone pick up my weapon?"

Sortai frowned as he unsheathed his sword."No, but i have a bad feeling Lamkit may be right. Theres no way a young dragon like that could have already amassed that much treasure for armor." Sortai moved closer to everyone else."If it is anything hostile, it'll atack us before we attack it. And don't worry, Lamkit. It won't be eating any of us." He said simply as he looked around.

Lamkit looked up at his human shield, “sorry. I kinnda left it with the baby’s body.” Lamkit whimpered. “You are use less! Oh well we should have a tactic this time so we wont have to wait for people to become conscious, or come back from the dead.” Meesha unsheathed her sword slowly stepped over grabbed her bow, and reached for and arrow. She had used the last one on that other dragon. “Crud, I have no arrows left, and this sword can't cut very well.” She looked around looking for some thing to use for an arrow.

Sortai froze again as a low growl wqas heard all around them."Oh... it's gotta be huge, to be that loud." He looked around, sword higher than ever, for the source of the growls."Show yourself, dragon!", he demanded aloud.

“Holy… My… Beautiful… Dragon friend.” Meesha squeaked, as she too hid behind Teka. “Hu? I think I know where ‘big mama’ is.” Meesha said as she looked behind her. Immediately she grabbed Teka and Lamkit, and climbed up a tree. Only to realize that she was not strong enough to carry Teka up a tree. So she stayed on the ground. “we should leave before it finds us, shouldn’t we?”

Sortai laughed."It's already found us, and I doubt it'll let easy prey such as a few humanoids like us escape, whether elven or not." He moved over to the tree as the growling ensued again."My mother studied them. She had books and books about them." He leaned against the tree Meesha was by."If anything, it'll try to convince us to let it kill us using mental tricks. we can probably bargain with it.

“Well I can deal with that. I’m a master at riddles.” Lamkit praised himself. “You know that dragons can talk, right? I know my share about dragons… My father had a small study my mother and I would go in and read all kinds of books, but a majority of them were about all kinds of monsters, and demons.” Meesha looked down then at Teka, “Oh and um sorry… Hey! I think I have a riddle book in my bag.” Meesha slowly stepped toward her dirty green bag, and pulled out an old, dusty red book. She then walked over to Sortai and handed him the book.

Sortai opened the book."Excellent. Now we just need to find something that could trick a dragon...", he said as he flipped through the pages. he looked to Meesha."Do you know any riddles like this? Because if we're caught without a riddle, we're as good as dead. Three of us could barely take down a child, how do you think four of us, you without arrows and Teka without a sword, could fare against an adult?" He looked around again."And if all else fails, one of us could take a horse and distract it while the others escaped. But I'm willing to bet it'll never stop chasing us, since we killed its young." He continued scanning the book while awaiting Meesha's reply.

“Um well I’ve memorized several different riddles some Quite hard but one’s really easy. Um, ok so here’s one it’s the hardest I know. The part of the bird that’s not in the sky, which can swim in the ocean and always stay dry. What is it?” Meesha recited loud enough for the dragon to here. “plus others.”

Sortai laughed."Easy. The shadow. You'd probably be dead now had you asked a dragon that." He closed the book."I have one. How about,'two legs sat on three legs with one leg in hand. fourlegs took one leg from two legs. Two legs threw three legs at four legs and took back one leg.'?". He heard another growl."It's nearer now." He said quietly.

“Wow, I guess that wasn’t a very good riddle. And I have no Idea.” Meesha shivered as she heard the low growl of the monster. “It’s staying hidden It wants us to make the first move, Like a game of chest.” Meesha glanced at Emerald then back at Sortai. “Teka do you have any riddles?”

Teka laughed, "You're asking me to play a mental game? Sorry but the only thing I'm good for is drinking and making a scene." Teka reached into his pack and brought out a blue orb. "I always have a back-up plan though."
