I hope cosplay.com doesn't decide to be a b***h when I try to upload stuff.
I find it amusing how many pictures my plushies are popping up in.
It surprised me that she started watching it since she usually complains about that sort of thing being too violent. But I'm not complaining that she's finally watching non-magical girl anime. I wonder if I can convince her to cut her bangs so I don't have to deal with a wig for her...
And I'm going to have to carry around my Death Note at some point while cosplaying Quatre. And it's all Michi's fault for bringing that up. XD;

I am so excited for "CLAMP-con", ha ha.
Anyone know the best place to get fabric or dye that's at least pretty close to Kero's colour?

Methinks a JoAnne raid is in order.
It's about time CLAMP got some respect from Gasukan.

Future plans/In progress: Kaitou Kid PictureI could easily find the suit and tie at a second hand store. The cape I can make and attach myself. Hair, no problem. I'm only stuck at the top hat and the monocle. I doubt a second hand store would have either of those, and I'd rather not to have to resort to ordering them online. Most likely I'm going to make the monocle out of my old pair of glasses that broke in half, so I still need a top hat. Do you know any stores that would be likely to sell one? Oh, and this is for Onicon coming up in October.

a pack of chessy cats. Methinks a JoAnne raid is in order.

I found this pair of skinny jeans and a matching shirt in almost the exact colour of Kero. I'm so tempted to get them, ha ha.
@Kuro: Where is Onicon? I've never heard of it. As for your costume, do you have any costume stores in your area? Or any Halloween specialty stores? I'm sure they may have something. Or even a Party City. (I used to work there a couple of years ago during Halloween and I saw a few top hats like the one you're hoping for.)

Downtown Houston. x33 Only one near where I live that isn't a 3-4 hour drive, and I'll be old enough to get in there yaoi/yuri room. <33 Thanks, I'll try looking around some Party Citys. We have a few Halloween specialty stores (which is where I got some kickass legwarmers), but they're only open during October. ><

I know that some places around here start getting Halloween stuff in as early as August, so you should keep your eye out. I'm usually the only person gleefully invading Target's Halloween aisles the day they start stocking. X3;
I think I'm going to keep an eye out for vinyl catsuits so I can cosplay one- illustration-only Partisans!Esther from Trinity Blood: Reborn on the Mars and Wedy from Death Note.

Ah. I'm lucky with Halloween stores up here. They open in mid to late-August and stay open until mid-November.
Hmm. I'll look up this Onicon. I've been looking for some other cons to go to besides the ones near me. And yey for yuri and yaoi! =]

I wonder if there's any cons that would be reasonable to go to in December - March...
I should probably make it through Kumoricon/Yaoi-con/Aki-con first though. >>
And I need to remember to update the first page of this thread later.

I've started on my Puu prop for my Yusuke cosplay. I'm on my second attempt actually; the first one somehow turned out too big. sweatdrop
I'm still debating whether I'll go as Dark Tournament Yusuke as originally planned(t-shirt, jeans, white sneakers), or the more recognisable everyday Yusuke(green button shirt, green pants, black shoes). First option's cheaper and less fuss, but second option might look better. The other thing with the second option is that I might end up having to dye the clothes green, which my mom doesn't seem to like.
Here's a pic of what I'm planning thus far(minus Kuwabara).

 NDK coming up in a month and a half. x_x
I've got everything ready. Shirt is found. Wig is good for now. Goggles good enough. But I can't for the life of me find the right gloves and boots for Matt.
And thank goodness I found the shirt. That was just as bad.

Are you making a vest?
Use combat boots and motorcycle gloves. That's what I did and it turned out fantastic!

Real leather motorcycle gloves can get expensive though. Rose and I were lucky that my dad is a Harley fanatic, so I just happened to have them lying around. You may want to look for clearance stuff.
I have the fabric and pattern for my Ouran/CCS coat. Still waiting for my Yukito wig to arrive. Need to buy pants and ties for Yukito and Tamaki, order an Ouran patch, and make a CCS one. When those costumes are done then I need to start on Deitrich, and hopefully I'll have enough time to finish Jasdero by Yaoi-Con as well.

 I was going to try and look for a vest, but it's tough to find one with such little time. D: Plus, I've just started sewing a few weeks ago, and my mom doesn't want me to work on making a vest with little experience. *headdesk*
Thankfully I managed to borrow some gloves from my dad's friend today. I'll try to find some good (and inexpensive) combat boots as well.
