YOU KNOW NOT OF THE GLORY THAT IS GURREN LAGANN?!
GO RENT IT. NOW. IT'S IN THE ANIME SECTION.
OR LOOK IT UP ON VEOH IT WAS STILL THERE LAST TIME I CHECKED.
Ahem. Anyway, story is moving along, outline for my next project is moving along, my doujinshi is awesome, I should be getting some Japanese sewing books in the mail tomorrow, I have a pink frilly dress on order for my giant goat girl BJD and I get to go to my favorite restaurant for dinner tomorrow night.
Life is good, just busy.
The Excel chart of characters for my next project? Intimidating XD.

Today, I got to help my boss berate a company exec who fibbed about paying us! And the nasty new hire got... unhired, so to speak. Japanese sewing books are awesome. The instructions are pictorial instead of text-based. I taught myself to sew using them. English directions actually confuse me. Although, I can't really read much Japanese unless it has to do with sewing. I get people asking me to read things to them and it's just, "Uh, well, they're not talking about pintucks..." (Although, I surprised myself this morning and read a page of a comic off to someone.) This is the one book I bought (other one is sold out): here. The seller is really fast and regular shipping is free. The book itself is spiffy too, but you have to know a little bit about sewing to use it regardless of your Japanese skillz. Writing-wise, I finished another chapter tonight! So happy. The end is actually in sight. I think maybe I got a little too introspective with what I just write though. Ah well. It's fixable, I'm sure. I blame the prep work I have going for my next project, which is more serious. As I mentioned elsewhere in the guild forum, it looks like someone else is gonna die in Next Project. Oh noes and such. The good news is, I think I'll be running a test for the damn thing, so I can give that person an extra scene to make up for it. Sort of.

Why thank you! Google images pulled it up. I searched "anime cake". The original has more of a gold cast.
I taught myself to sew and crochet with Japanese books, so I actually can't interpret English directions all that well XD.
The thing about the character who is going to die now- she's very old IRL. Every time she's changed, I've found a way to keep her alive. But, I think now that I know her and she's pretty steady, she's come to an end as far as what I can do with her. She will have her spotlight and she will step out of it on her own free will. And the audience will have a fit. It will be awesome and sad, but it will be right in the end.
Assuming I get that far. I'm only just outlining the story in question! I really want to run a test for it. I think I said that already. But I'm more sure now. I have a mini outline and such.
I'm coming up on 350 pages for the Doorstop. I can kind of see the end from here! I'm so happy! And I have another chapter down. The one character I really like just got some ^_^V.
Yes, there's a lot of sex. I believe in burlesque parody biggrin .
Gah, I have to go organize my notes. They're sprouting up everywhere...
I am in the avatar arena this week! I'll provide a link when the contest goes live. I don't expect to do that well, but I'm really happy with my avatar this week, so I wanted to share it.

http://www.gaiaonline.com/avatararena/?mode=vote&key=56rgz6&postid=13481It's been floating around 7 all day. I'm much amused! *was ready for 5s and such* I hit 350 pages tonight. I realized I only have about twenty scenes to go. I... should go sort more notes for my next project. But the truth is, I almost want to do another sitting for this one. The end is nigh!

10'd
Notes are always the hardest part for me, I actually try not to do any, it feels too restricting to me, I'd rather make it all up as I go.
But then, in some cases they're neciessary. Urgh, the writers cures. Getting idea from brain to fingers in a coherent manner xD
Good luck with the twenety scenes, and the notes that follow. I'm rooting for you.

Oh! Thank you everyone #^_^#! I don't find writing notes so bad, but processing them is an awful chore! I really don't enjoy that. Gotta get done though. The story I'm working on? I actually got the outline pretty much in final form once I got the notes in order. I've been working off of it this long, I suppose I did something right. I didn't chuckle as much as I hoped I would tonight, but then I remembered that I've read over the major gag from the work I just did about twelve times. of course it isn't funny anymore to me! It's now impossible for me to know if it's actually funny. I'm very tired. I really just wanted to sit around and read all day. Stupid work. Existing and whatnot! I did get some VERY good news though. My Soom Beryl is being sent home tomorrow from getting her makeup done. She looks like this now: mrgreen mrgreen mrgreen

Firstly, she's beautiful. Your BJD, naturally. Beautiful.
Secondly, I completely understand. I try to throw comedy into all of my stories because I feel that laughter is integral to an accurate portrayal of life...but it makes so difficult to tell. Odd how uninteresting things can become when you find you know everything, isn't it? Maybe that's why I was so appalled when my ex asked me out the 2nd time.
And there it is. I think mostly I've resorted to below-the-belt, I-feel-bad-for-being-amused snarkiness these days as opposed to actual humor.
p.s I feel you would appreciate that I have found the perfect mocha frappucino. There's a Japanese bookstore right next to the Japanese grocery story I like going to and they have a small cafe inside. The pastries are adorable and, recently, my best friend and I tried the mocha frappucino. We have difficulty drinking anything else now. Just talking about it I want to drive the 20 miles to go get one.

Why thank you ^^.
Snark is awesome though! I couldn't imagine life without snark. I think I would wither away due to massive woe overdose...
The story about your new mocha frap spot made my evening XD. That's so awesome! Adorable pastries plus... hmm, you know cocoa is processed differently in Asia than in the US? Oh, I bet those fraps have Meiji cocoa in them. They must be AWESOME.
I often think about driving back to my last residence.
Just to go down the street.
And get almond bubble tea from the place by the lake
Alas, I am not thinking much about writing tonight. It took me two hours to get Hypatia's body back together so it would be ready for her head Z_Z.

That doll is really pretty!
And I always try and put comedy into my stories. It's the best thing.
