Yes it does. It like not resting are going on a beserker rage and charging into battle by putting your body beyond it's limits.

You don't know how beserkers work do you?
They drink a special brew, allowing them to feel nothing and behave like animals. Killing everything that doesn't smell of the brew.
So it would be like they gain health. So no.
