"Hey dude where are you?" Joseph called looking for his other teammate. "Come on speak up there ain't no zombies here." With that he turns to see his teammate, and the dozen or so undead doomsday devices. "Aww ********>

Well, with all of them standing, it got pretty obvious what was gonna happen.

"Send out a message on the Greywater line. Get any member nearby over here-- Now!" Deitric ordered Joseph without turning his head back to face the man. He reached down as the shambling messes began to make their way towards him, taking the tomahawks from their loops on his belt. No time like now time.

"I'll keep 'em busy. We need to clear this room. I think they're attracted to it.." Deitric offered by way of an explanation before throwing himself forward, holding his arms out wide as if he was going to plunge himself right into the mess and try to hug the zombie things.

Bzzzzt~

The mercenary ignited his inner power, exploding into life around him, blue arcs of power cackling around his form as he counter-charged the mass of enemies. He seemed to take an odd step, starting an abrupt spin that took him right into his opposition. His body was a-blur with the heat and light of his static out-put, and he was spinning like a thing possessed, a cyclone of metal, flesh and shocking power. His tomahawks acted like the blades of a mower or thresher - held outward, his spin turned his weapons into an impromptu buzzsaw as he aimed to try and tear right through the middle of the mass, giving his ally enough time to draw the other Greywater to the area.

[Edit: Was eating dinner. Back now.]

The first few that reached Dietric took the blow in the chest, stumbling backwards. Their compatriots grabbed the damaged ones and shoved them aside, pressing on to attack Dietric, eight clawed hands grabbing for his arms and trying to get a firm hold of the man.

That first row that he had damaged, five in total, struggled on the ground, important mechanical parts incapacitated but still running.

“Hey Greywater people, This is your comrade Joseph and uhh yah some s**t is going down at the palace and we could use some help.”

With that Joseph send the relay out and extended both of his arms. “Dude get the ******** out the way cuzz this is gonna hurt. Double Eternal Damnation!”

With that both hands collected his aura into a spiraling mass, and then he fired…
….The energy exploded creating an expanding dome of aura that damaged everything in a 50ft. radius. Joseph coughed up blood in increasing amounts, his Pendant almost broken.
First degree burns covered his arms up to his elbows and he now found himself lying on the floor unable to move his aura locked in an effort to keep him alive. “******** this!” he cried as he was left defenseless on the ground.

Quote:
Eternal Damnation: This attack is like Damnation except that was a spiraling motion First used and begain practicing from this point Usage is first called by Die roll, if an odd it fails and the energy blows up in his face, if even the attack works.

?!

That alarmed expression that had so rarely touched his features was becoming a lot more notable these days.

Getting caught and slowed down didn't bother him. He was like a powerhouse generator now - if these metal robot things grabbed him, they were going to get shocked, and hopefully it'd fry their system. Deitric wouldn't get to find out though, as his ally suddenly decided to throw an attack right into the mess of skeletons - where Deitric was.

s**t!

The skeletons had barely gotten their grips on him when the powerflow around him tightened and released suddenly in the form of twin, falcon like wings around his shoulders as the warrior abruptly raced up into the air. His movement had changed so abruptly that the skeletal grips on his arms tore away the sleeves of his leather jacket, leaving them in their arms as he was sent up into the air towards the ceiling, hopefully out of the way of the oncoming Eternal Damnation.

Why does everyone love friendly fire?!

The shape of the walls would limit the output of energy into the throneroom--these walls were made of sturdy stuff. However, half of them were tossed across the throneroom like rag dolls, three of them damaged beyond repair in the blast.

Three zombies, those most removed from Joseph's failed attack, ran ahead to be underneath Vietric when he landed, claws outstretched welcomingly.

Well, at least there were only three left, right?

As Deitric reached his ascent and began the not-so-graceful, he noticed that his ally's attack hadn't gotten all of them. He reared back with both hands, before launching both tomahawks down towards the oncoming metal zombeh things, hoping to at least take out two, or slow them down so he could pick them off easier.

Assuming he managed to nab two of them, or slow 'em down enough, he'd land on the one, kicking his boots to try and get its arms out of the way so he could crush it down with his bodyweight before scrambling off in the hopes of disentangling himself and putting some distance there.

If he failed horribly with his throws, then he'd try and turn his body to lariat-slam into all three skeletons, hoping to knock them flat before doing the same thing as before - getting the hell away from them and get his bearings.

One of the tomahawks struck perfectly, causing the zombie to stiffen and fall on its back (as these things always go). The other tomahawk hit the skull off-center, rebounding to the floor and chipping away a layer of metal but not actually striking the "brain" as it were. The creature would twist its head sideways as though it had a ringing in its ear, keeping one arm up to great Deitric.

As Deitric came down, they would claw at him, but they would not be able to stop him, and they would get toppled to the ground. Even on the ground, the struggled to get a grip on him.

User ImageHe wove his way through the masses of zombies, before he finally was disgusted with the whole thing. Even if they had been his beloved devoted servants, it was beyond enough!

"Begone!"

And the zombies parted before him like the Red Sea before Moses. But they stared after Bryant like he was the boss and totally in charge. And then as he passed, they fell back behind him, leaving no opening for anyone unless they fought their way through.

Shitshitshitshitshit--

Deitric thrashed furiously with the skeletons grabbing for him, and managed to stand up - pulling one along for the ride so that it'd be facing him on its feet, as its groping claws had found a grip on his right forearm. The damn thing didn't want to let go, either. The other was managing to tear his pantleg to try and get at him, and he was covered with little gouges and nicks and cuts from his attempt to disentangle himself. Why didn't they ever give up? Even the one that hadn't had the best grip in the world was still managing to keep a hold of him, and it would be trouble if he couldn't do something about it.

Thud. Thud-thud-thud-thud.

His left arm began to pump widly, aiming to slam his gloved fist home time after time into the head of the skeleton that had gotten a good grip on him - he could worry about the other in a second. Unless he was missing every punch (or wasn't in the position to punch at all), his left fist was going to quickly become bloody from its gruesome work, but the thing on the other end of his fist wasn't going to look too good either - each punch was fueled by his will to survive, and packed a blast of electricity and force in it. Each blow was almost feral as he tried to free himself from those damned things.

"GET - OFF - OF - ME!" the fighter roared, emphasizing each point with a hard punch.

[D-d-d-double edit! Talked over AIM on what's happening. Settled, now.]

"Its you." Joseph called faintly trying to fight the urge to pass out from the pain. The taste of copper flooded his mouth, and blood stained his mouth and the floor close to it. "Dude kill him and it will all be over, or get me the ******** out of here."

If Bryant came near...
The zombies would back away, watching Bryant in reverence, their normal programming temporarily overridden by his presence.

Otherwise...
The zombie couldn't take the electrically-charged pounding, and with each blow its grip became weaker until it fell back, jittering and shaking on the floor. Something about the shock seemed to mess with its internal mechanics, but even so it took a lot of energy to put it down.

The zombie at Deitric's leg would pause in deference, but otherwise continued at the clawing, trying to climb its way back up to Deitric and get at more vital parts, like the throat.

With a growl, he pulled his right arm free of the lax grasp. The other monstrosity was using him like a support post, climbing inch by inch up his body. Well, that wouldn't do. It was freaky as hell, not to mention probably not very healthy.

Using his now free right hand to try and grab at the thing's own neck or any other part he could, he'd try and push it away while his left hand drew his knife. The fighter didn't hesitate - even if he held it at bay with his right arm, the thing was still grabbing for his throat, and it had managed to get ahold of his shoulder and hair, it's thumb-claw digging just beside his neck, blood trickling from the new wound.

With the long knife in a reverse grip, he slammed it down, trying to drive the long, steel blade home into the the top of the thing's skull and end its life-- or unlife, rather. If he were successful, he'd wiggle the knife free before moving to retrieve his tomahawks. He was bleeding from ascore of minute scraps and he had bruises all over him from the tight grips that the metal monsters could exert. Damned if he didn't already hate technology, and this place wasn't helping.

"Where do these things come from.."

((Wait a second... have we been on the palace dome this entire time? Weird.))

Deitric would be successful in his attack.

((Okay, GM logging off for the night. I enjoyed this fight, thank you.))
