"They deserved it"
He admitted. What he didn't admit is that simply killing them and dissecting them would have been far too mild for Joe's idea of revenge on anyone who dared harm his family.
"Good to hear you don't hate everyone. Would have been a real pity if you did"

"Many of my victims deserved it in my opinion..."
More sips. Maroon eyes were settled on Joe.
"You don't seem to scare easily..."

"Easily enough. Figured you weren't the type I should be scared of"
If anything, Hannibal should be scared of Joe, but then, Hannibal could not read Joe's mind and Joe generally lived in a state of vagueness that made it hard to determine the real threat.
"You're welcome to proof me wrong"
He encouraged Hannibal, smiling slightly whilst trying his best to not loose himself in those eyes

Hannibal didn't scare easy. He didn't have family or friends to really look out for.
"If I proove you wrong, it wouldn't be in public."

"But you would proof me wrong?"
He asked curiously.

"I'm up for the challenge."
He murmured, weaving his 'spell' even more with his voice.

"And what do I get out of it if you don't manage to scare me?"
He asked, almost casually, as he finished the last of his coffee.

"Nothing. What you want I'm denying you..."
He finished his coffee and sat back, wondering about leaving the cafe.

He appeared to accept defeat, very much giving the impression that Hannibal would indeed refuse that what he was after. The moment did not last long.
"And if I was female?"

"I might consider it....however your male."
He pointed out. Apparently he didn't believe in other worlds or other beings having such power to change one's anatomy.

"And of course, if rumours were to be believed.. I'd have nothing to fear from you if I was female.. so you'd pretty much loose that one"
He continued, apparently blatantly ignoring the fact that Hannibal just pointed out he was male. A certain amusement had entered his voice as he spoke, the type of amusement Arioch was known for.

"True, I've yet to harm a lady....however there's always a first time for everything."
That infamous glitter entered his eye again.

"Yeah, I don't think you will"
He stated, very much giving the impression that he thought there was no way in hell Hannibal would harm a female and ignoring the glimmer in Hannibal's eye.
Of course, the glitter got noticed and added to the excitement that Joe felt as he toyed with the element of danger sitting across from him.

"Depends on the woman."
He pointed out. He rose to his feet.
"Now if you'll excuse me....there's a book of poetry waiting for me."
Hannibal started to walk away, going for that said book.

"Poetry.. how boring"
Joe commented before waving to the waitress, indicating that he would have another coffee. After failing to establish anything of real value about Hannibal, other than that the guy was a psycho and straight, and valued women for some odd reason, the evening had been far from successful.
