"You're the greatest, luv." Her hazel eyes seemed to glow more than they had any other moment she'd been with him to date and her smile was absolutely innocent and gracious. The expression said everything, to her he was a hero and he'd just made her day by allowing her to help some others in need and possibly make their days a little better. And just to top everything off she gave him another huge squeeze and a whole bunch of kisses on his cheek to say thanks to him. After kissing him she simply stood there with him in her arms and gently nuzzled her cheek against his. He was already spoiling her too much and this was only the first time she'd been over to this newly renovated place.
When Veroen went to go attend to her retardedness and get her a knife she let him go do so and began opening the butter while he fetched a knife for her and set it on the counter just as she'd taken the lid off the butter. She turned to give him a simple smile and uttered a quick thanks before she dug the knife into the butter and began spreading it across all three pieces of her toast. She then decided to just sit on the counter and eat it and jumped up on the counter and grabbed the plate and set it in her lap and began crunching away at the first piece.
After she finished her first piece she looked up at him kind of sheepishly and held out a piece to him to ask if he wanted any though she knew vampires weren't required to eat food and most normally didn't. "You want any? I know vampires don't usually eat but it's worth a shot asking."

Veroen loved this girl more and more with each second he was with her. He smiled at her, and then eyed the pice of toast she offered to him.
He hesitated, without saying anything, and then looked at her as he took it slowly, and took a bite. He chewed it, with a slightly forced expression, and then hesitated, before swallowing it. He then looked at her with a half smile.
He would have to regurgitate that later when she wasn't around. His body had no fluids in his stomack, and it would just sit in his inactive stomach and rot.

Meredith simply smiled at Veroen as he accepted a small bite of her piece of toast and did a horrible job of faking the fact that he was enjoying it as he chewed it. His expression failed to fool her and he looked more like he was chewing on some charcoal as opposed to taking a simple bite of a piece of toast and the swallow was even more apparently forced. "You know you didn't have to eat it if you didn't want to. I wouldn't have been offended but it just feels weird to eat with someone else watching you and not eating anything themself. Human reaction I guess."
She then finished her third piece of toast, an absolute monster in the amount of time in which she took to devour her toast. Each piece was devoured within a manner of seconds and when she finished she politely set her plate and knife in the sink, placed the lid on the butter and set that back in the fridge and pulled out some milk. She then went on the ultimate quest to search for a glass and opened a grand total of five cupboards before she found a glass with a prominent 'Aha!' as she brought the glass out of the cupboard and poured herself a glass of milk.
Once finished she put the milk back in the fridge and before she went to guzzle the milk she turned to look at Veroen, "So what exactly are your plans for today, hm? I suppose you accomplished the whole seduce the human and bring her back to my joint thing but now what?" She laughed full-heartedly and patted him on the back to let him know she was teasing him before she guzzled her milk as fast as she ate the toast.

Veroen chuckled at her statement. He was just trying to be polite when he ate the toast, just to help make her feel comfortable.
He then looked at her with a quizzical look. To be quite honest, he had no clue what to do now. He looked at her and then said,
"I honestly have no clue what to do now..." He said thoughtfully.
"What do you feel like doing?"

She couldn't help but give him a little playful peck on the cheek before she responded to his question with a shrug before actually saying what she was planning to say. "Well I would probably want to take a shower and get a new pair of clothes so I don't feel like some greaser walking out in public. So I guess I'd have to go to haven to pick up a new pair of clothes and as much as I trust you, I'm not allowed to permit you to follow me there whenever I decide to head over there. As for after that I'll probably bring my baggage over here and totally incriminate on your household and make you all annoyed I'm making myself riiight at home. And after that I have no f**king clue!" She stuck her tongue out at him and gave him another playful peck.

He grinned at her. She brought so much joy and happiness into his life, for his life mostly consisted of killing. It was quite the depressing life, actually, now that he thought about it. But she brought light into his darkened world.
He rested his hands on her waist and kissed her back, while still smiling. After a few moments, he spoke to her.
"Alright, well you can use my shower if you'd like."

Meredith's life had been all over the place but since coming back to New York before meeting Veroen her life had been best described as lonely and glum. She certainly wasn't lonely any longer and Veroen certainly didn't make her life glum, he just made her happy and protected her and spoiled her worse than a parent their child. It was amazing he tolerated her after how rude she'd been to him before they'd really gotten to know one another, it was really a miracle that they'd worked out at all but she was completely grateful they had and she loved him with all her heart.
She kissed him once more on the cheek before she smiled and began to depart for the shower, stopping and remembering that she had no idea where the shower was. Of course she would probably be able to find it on her own but she decided that she'd at least get a hint before she marched off down the completely wrong hallway. She turned back to look at him sheepishly and asked, "Um ... the bathroom's down this way, right?"

Veroen smiled and pointed down the other hallway.
"That way, love." He ended his sentence with a grin. He thought that she was so perfect in so many ways for him. He felt extremely lucky. Yes, she had a few flaws, but thats what made Veroen love her even more. She was simply beautiful. He chuckled at her face whenever she asked him where the bathroom was.

"Thanks, hon!"
She began to awkwardly hobble down the hallway with clear uncertainty though Veroen had just assured her she'd been heading in the right direction in order to reach her destination. Before she went to the bathroom, though, she picked up her clothes from the day before since she was going to have to temporarily cover herself in something when she decided to head over to haven but she probably wasn't going to get to doing that right away since she wanted to spend a bit of time with her perfect vampire before she rushed off though she'd probably just come straight back after she went to haven or meet him somewhere.
Meredith, with clothes in hand, made her way to the bathroom, still awkwardly hobbling as she made her way down the hallway and eyed the bathroom with a glint in her eye. She opened the door and instinctively closed it behind her, hung her clothes up on the towel rack, took her remaining clothes off and hopped into the shower. The saying went that women were supposed to take baths and whatnot but she'd never cared for them after she'd been a child because she discovered showers were simply more efficient when you were wanting to clean off fast. However, every once in a while when she wanted to relax there was always a bubble bath.

Veroen let her go off into the bathroom, and take a shower, so that she would have a bit of time to herself. He quickly went to the sink, and regurgitated the piece of toast he ate earlier. He then washed it down the drain. He then looked around, at his apartment. He loved the way it looked. And he was happy that Edith liked it. He did it all, just to make her feel comfortable here. He picked up his cell phone, and dialed a number.
After a few rings, a voice spoke from the other end of the line, tinted by a british accent.
"Ello?"
Veroen spoke to him. "Hey Jacob, its Veroen. I need another favor. Call it a personal favor, actually..."
"Alright, what is it?"
"I need you to take all the meats and anything a vegetarian wouldn't eat, and donate it to the Feed the Children fund, and get more things a Vegetarian would eat."
There was a pause on the other line, as if Jacob was in disbelief.
"Alright mate, this is the last time though, no more favors. I've already done enough to make up for that contract i asked you to fulfill for me."
"Ok Jacob, thank you. Give me an hour, then you can come here and take care of everything."
"Alright Veroen, later mate."
There was a click, and Veroen flipped the cell phone closed.
He then looked around, and quickly slipped on all his clothes, and quietly waited for Eden to get out of the shower.

Meredith shampooed and conditioned her hair and soaped everything up and within a matter of minutes she was finished her shower. Most women tended to take a while in the bathroom but not her, after she got out of the shower she nosed about and looked for a comb and combed her hair and put her clothes on and that was it. She didn't have her make-up here to put on and she didn't have her change of fresh clothes yet. However, she did have her contacts, which she'd remembered were in her pocket since she hadn't been wearing them and she decided to stick them in. They were purple contacts and they made her eyes a nice violet colour.
She walked out of the bathroom, remembering to turn the fan on and she emmerged from the bathroom with a cloud of steam surrounding her until she shut the door, leaving a tiny crack open so that the bathroom could air out. She then went to go find Veroen and when she rounded the corner and came into the kitchen there he was with his clothes on again and she smiled at him as she crossed the distance of the kitchen to reach him.
Her now purple eyes still glinted and her smile was a proud one and a somewhat mischievous one as she thought about how beautiful he looked and how cute he was. Everything about him seemed perfect, his appearance, his voice, his personality, he was a dream. "How the hell did we end up together," she finally asked after a moment of pausing to admire him. "We're probably the most unlikely couple of the century and yet now that we're together everything's just ... it's just perfect. You're perfect. It's like a dream. Isn't that just weird to you in a way?"

Veroen chuckled and a grin crept onto his lips as she said her words. It was true, he would have never thought that she would have been attracted to a lifeless being such as himself.
"Yes, it is. I would have expected you to go after a guy with a heartbeat, actually." She looked pretty beautiful in the glimmer of the morning light. He paused, a little stunned by her appearance, as well as her eyes. He could tell they were contacts, but didn't say anything about them. If she iked them, then he didn't mind them either, though he preffered her natural eyecolor.
"But, nonetheless, I'm happy that hings have ended up this way, for the most part."
He still didn't quite like the idea of her becoming a Lycan, however, but it was for the best, he guessed.

"So far the guys with the heartbeats have been heartless bastards, one of which got engaged to me just so he could get close enough to kill me without trouble or a fight. It's pretty amazing what some people will go through to fulfill a contract or whatever the ******** that douche bag had to gain from killing me ... But I don't know ... you're different or maybe you aren't but my heart tells me you are and you've gone out of your way for me even when you had nothing to gain from it and when we weren't together. You're perfect, you don't need a heart beat, you've got a bigger heart than anyone I've known."
It was clear that she was still kind of upset and hurt by the whole matter of her former fiance trying to kill her but she didn't dwell on it too long, preferring to leave the past behind since there was no point on dwelling over what'd been done. Instead she smiled at him and gently took a seat beside him and looked down at him to inspect him again with her purple eyes. A smile came to her face when he looked slightly stunned for a second and though she was certain he was smart enough to figure it out she decided to provide for him, "They're just contacts, luv."
"Oh? For the most part? What's the catch, what's the snag in your perfect silk sheet, what's the gold in your silver lining, what's the bump in your road?" She smiled, trying to make light of it though she wanted to know then quickly added, "Sorry. Just trying to lighten the mood. But seriously, what's the exception? You can tell me."

Veroen hesitated, for a moment, before replying to her.
"I don't know exactly how I feel about you becoming a Lycan..." He admitted. It did bother him in a way, though he could probably get used to it easily, he still felt a bit uncomfortable about it.

"I guess you kind of probably hunt them, huh. And I have no idea what being a lycan is going to do to me ... I'm really scared, actually ... Some of them go all rabid-like, the ones I've put down time and time again and I'm scared I'll somehow lose myself like they did ... I'm worried I'll hurt people, too, worried I won't be able to control myself ... Is that what has you iffy or is there something else about it? I mean ... being a vampire I guess I didn't go mindless but lots of lycans seem to just go insane for some reason ... I'm really worried that I'll somehow forget you and my kid and who I am or something like that."
That was when she hugged him close and held back the tears that she felt burning behind her contacts. She was silent for a moment as she pulled his arms around her but then she piqued up with a very serious question, "Are you ... You're not going to hunt me if I become a lycan, are you? I mean, as long as I'm Edith and not brainless dumb wolf bent on eating your brains out. Or are you going to be disgusted? I ... If you can't handle it I'll understand. I'm not doing it to spite you or anything, though and if there was some way that I could just stay like this I'd do it but I don't have that option ..."
