Proudly_Jewish ~Narrator Acoolie~ Heh. I'm taking it as a high school credit foreign language class at my school currently. My teahcer's fun. She has us get up and do a lot of stuff. Plus, we only have one homework a week, chosen out of a list. One of them's writing a song in Latin. Some of the easier ones are doing flashcards and such. Oh, and we also learn Greek and Roman mythology in the class. (Which is, of course, basically the same thing.) She describes it as "Jerry Springer on speed." Latin's fun. whee your avy is cool eek Why thank ye.

We had to do mottos for Latin class.
Piger sibi obstat: A lazy man stands in his own way. E plurbus unum: Out of many one. The motto of the US. Sic semper tyrannus: Thus always to tyrants. Motto of the state of Virginia.
Yep.

You have to choose between a Fortune cookie and a German "Bahlsen Leibniz Butterkeks" So which one do you want? wink

I had a Latin exam the day before yesterday. The only word that I forgot was when I was declining Your Help or something like that....
I had written the definition for auxillium down as "aid, harmony" instead of "aid, help" because I had just written a notecard for concordia and I decided to pull a stupid. So I ended up using the verb for help. ><
"noster adiuvus"...etc.
I think my Latin teacher will get a kick out of that. -_-
