Nalini raised an eyebrow and looked at Kat.
'I wasn't cracking a joke. And Nomana, if the Grunnies did meet your...giant chicken, I think they'd be more likely to win in a fight.'

Nalini sighed heavily, pulled the scarf so it hung more loosely around her throat, and lowered her mask, revealing her heavily burnt face. The scars stood out red raw, as though she had only just been saved from a vicious fire. Even after so long, they still refused to fade.
She held the mask in her hand by her side and started at Katrica blankly.
'Has that satisfied your curiosity now?'

Nalini rolled her eyes to herself, watching the werewolf exit and placed the mask firmly over her face again, and wrapped the scarf back to its original tightness.
'If that's the best she can do, then that's just sad,' she muttered to herself.
