MegaTherion777 Volvy MegaTherion777 Volvy MegaTherion777 he certainly has a great blues influence, but the majority of the clapton catalog is *rock* True, but now he plays blues. And his roots were in the blues, so I think calling him a blues guitarist is reasonable, though you could ALSO call him a rock guitarist. I don't think I've ever heard anybody call SRV rock, though. i've never heard an SRV song i would consider true blues I suppose it depends on your definition, but the majority of his catalogue is generally considered to be blues or blues-rock (which is the term I prefer, since he generally straddles the line in my opinion) blues-rock is a form of rock that is taking the music back to its blues-based roots, so calling him blues-rock is, in effect, calling him rock Or, since rock spawned from the blues, it is calling him blues from the style of around the point of divergence of rock from blues. Most people just consider him blues. I'm willing to throw a bone, so to speak, by conceding that there are certain rock elements to his music. Simply calling him rock, though, is flat out wrong. scream
