Everyone else was glad to be alive- Eric was weeping on the inside that his ship was near-totalled. He decided to find the Captain and get to work on fixing it.
((I'm just going to assume Johachim and crew are fixing her up.))

Ora walked slowly over, surveying the busted ship and the new refugees with slight interest. "Pendari wasn't on the Star's Light. She chased after the stone and didn't come back."

Halise settled Hattie into her sleeping quarters on the Rioreet and sat down in a chair beside the bed with a wooden bowl in his lap. He raised his hands over the bowl and began to twiddle his fingers as various elements solidified and then dispersed quickly. He made a sound of disappointment. "I'll never get this right." He tried again, looking up at a sleeping Hattie now and again.
Meanwhile, Riley had taken to patching up the outside of the Rioreet and was scrubbing away the rest of the familiar graffiti that used to be painted on the outer shell of the former Orion. Riley saw Eric and the Star's Light and gave a wave.
"Hey, Eric! What the hell's up?!"

Jarred pointed at his elbow, holding it out to show Tu.
"She's got a stump." He said simply, as if it explained everything. He peered at Tu, inspecting her closely. "So are you Syx?" He turned to face Syx. "And which would you be? Three? Eight? Seventeen?"
He shrugged, smiling until he heard Ora as she walked up.
"Wait... what? What the hell do you mean 'she chased the stone.'. The kid got picked up by a Kore ship. I think they'd have noticed a stumped chick."

"hmm, funny, he'd get along well with, Fior, I'm sure." Tu said in a very dry voice. She glanced at Syx, "he was one of the prisoners, wasn't he? Why didn't you just kill him?"
Syx cuffed Jarred upside the head. "Yes, Jarred, I'm seventeen, your deductive skills are sharp as ever."
Ora looked at Jarred, "she chased after the stone, and it was the last I saw of her. She was not on the Star's Light, for either trip." Ora winced slightly as Jarred mentioned Haldis was picked up by the Kore. "Are you sure? The Kore is presently in control of the stone?"

Ora gave a brief nod, "Pendari is likely with the Kore, or Haldis left her dead in the Gilgamesh. The stone doesn't like loose ends."

Syx shrugged, "I know," She glanced at the Star's light and shook her head. "I don't know if Eric's ship is up for that yet, but we do have the Siryn."
Tu's eyes narrowed, "You do not. My ship isn't some taxi, to fly around at your whim."
"We have the Siryn, if you need it." Syx said again, giving her sister a challenging glare. They both locked eyes and stared each other down, not blinking, as if it was some long-used form of warfare.
"Don't take the loose end comment so personally. It wasn't meant to be an insult to your friend." Ora's suit beeped softly, as she spoke, "If someone gets me out of this suit, I can get Pendari back far easier than the rest of you."

"You're in that suit for a reason, huh?"
