Akiko's head jerked up as she realized she was being tested. She had been so preoccupied with the breakfast ceremony that she had forgotten all about her schoolwork! No! she thought to herself, I'm no good with memorization! Um... okay. There were two animals of burden, "Ox, Horse..." Three predators, "Dragon, Serpent, Tiger..." Well, while I'm at it, there are only three others with the hands vertical, "Ram, Rat, Bird..." ..and three with the hands crossed. "Hare, Monkey, Dog."

Akiko thought she had gotten it correct, but she felt uneasy about it. Did she remember everything?

"Um, wait..."

How many had she gotten? Two, three, three, and three... she was missing one!

"I... forgot one, didn't I?" she sighed dejectedly. This wasn't a great start to her schooling...

Quiz!
Yuki's going to ask you questions! Answer them the best that you can.

Karite chuckled as the girl seem to be flustered. It seemed like Yuki-Sensei was testing her. To be expected when you lived with the principal of the academy. She was a cute kid, but she needed to learn how to stay calm. A shinobi was as good as dead once they let their mind go on its own. "You forgot the Boar symbol. Its my favorite." Karite said with a big grin. "You should try and calm down. It does no one any good to get worked up. The name is Karite Tategami, but you can call me Karite."Smiling again he looked at the girl with a questioning look. "I know all the pretty ladies on this island, or so I claim. So if you tell me your name I can keep up with my honest statement." Karite, although being rough around the edges, truly was a ladies man. He enjoyed talking to them and flirting with them. He had to be careful because his heart was already taken, by a rather violent one at that.

"Ah, Karite! You're not early at all," Yuki said, rising from the table as she brought her dishes to the sink. "We can start your individual test while we wait for you teammates to arrive," Yuki said as she dried off her hands. "Yes, honey. Yes, its the boar. You named them all off rather quickly," Yuki praised Akiko with her first try. "Why don't you finish up and head off to the Sparring Rings. Hamma-san is teaching class there today. You'll get a bit dirty today, so make sure to come in the back door when you come home," Yuki advised Akiko, hoping not to get dirt on her new white rugs in the living room. She had to buy new ones a few years ago due to a upset from Kazuma... "I'll be quizing you this afternoon at the academy," Yuki said with a wink as she noted that she would be teaching later on.

"C'mon, Karite. Let's head in the back to the dojo and test your skill," Yuki spoke to the boy as she slipped on her sandals and headed to the small dojo in the back of the yard. As she made her way back there, wanting Karite to follow, she grabbed her papers and all the things necessary to quiz Karite on and promote him to genin. "Alright, so what skill will you be testing today?" she asked him, looking through his papers to see that he was well adverse in several skills.

Listening to Yuki the boy shrugged his shoulders and winked at th girl. "I guess I will catch your name later." Running back to grab his staff and Shuriken he hurried along behind Yuki-Sensei. It had been a while since he had trained under her, and now he was being tested by her. It was a bit odd but he always like showing his improvements to her. She was kind of like the island mother. Putting his Shuiken bag back around his waste and fastening his Kunai holster he looked up shaking a few lose hairs away from his face.

"Well Misses Yuki-Sensei, I have been training very hard with my Jo over the last couple of years, but Hama-sama say I still need more training before I am ready to wield a staff. While I am a good tumbler as well I still feel my skills with my Jo surpass all my others. So if you don't mind I would like to test my staff skills."

Karite was unsure of what was about to happen, but if he had to fight Yuki-Sensei he had a feeling he was going to fail his exam. But he couldn't tell her of his other skills. Then all the thefts that had been going on at night would be pinned on him. He couldn't use his tumble skills because he had not warmed up his muscles for that and he had been slacking on that training as well. His dodging skills were lacking because of his tumbling and his taijutsu skills were weak because of his lack of fighting recently. Looking back on his two years, Karite was realizing how much he really needed to pick up his training during the day and continue to sharpen his 'skills' at night. He wasnt sure he was ready to be a Genin anymore.

Boar. The mention of the sign she had forgotten was now etched into her mind. She must not forget that one again!

The man who had helped her out was grinning oddly. He had a strange look to his face, and something in the back of her mind told her that she should be careful around him. He seemed to come on a little strong, as if he was trying too hard to know her. Her body tensed up a little, and she leaned away from him ever so slightly. She was about to give up her name, albeit guardedly, but Yuki began to instruct her on the day's activities. She nodded at this, finishing off her breakfast neatly.

Akiko stood up and took the remnants of her meal to the kitchen. Ordinarily she would've pitched in and washed her own dishes, but she was going to be late if she didn't leave immediately. As she rushed out the door, she glanced at the doorway leading to the residential quarters. She wanted to bid her mother farewell, but she decided against it. Akiko was already on her way, kunai slipped into the excess fabric of her sleeves.

Setting the papers on a low sitting table, Yuki nodded as Karite named off the things that he was best skilled in. "Strike me," Yuki said to the boy as she took a step in front of him. The woman stared at him very intently knowing that she was putting pressure on him. This was a serious test that would decide whether or not this student would be fit to leave the village and risk their life in upcoming missions for the countries of the world. Yuki had to be cold and intimidating, because the enemies this young shinobi would face would be nothing less. Standing their with her chest puffed out, the short woman remained silent as she waited for Karite to make his move. "Choose your attack wisely," Yuki said narrowing her emerald eyes at him.

Hanabira walked around to the backyard to where the Tenmoki's small dojo was. The young Yamanaka had spent quite a bit of time in the backyard of the Tenmoki's house when she was just beginning at the Academy. Aya had been a mentor of sorts and taught her a few things about herbs. Walking timidly pass the gate, Hanabira walked up the steps of the dojo, taking off her shoes at the entrance. Her olive eyes instantly went to the only two people in the room. Moving quietly, Hanabira sat next to a wall and watched the exam take place. Yuki was instructing Karite to strike her. The woman, even short in stature, was very intimidating. Hanabira felt her stomach churn at the thought of having to strike at Tenmoki-sensei.

(damn sticking dice, I rolled 4 20's the other day and now I can get a stickin 6 you freaking suck dice scream )

Karite was unsure if Yuki-sensei was serious, but when she stood in front of him with that look of determination it was all clear. He had to strike Yuki or at least try. The only thing he could think of was any of his aerial attacks. They put him high enough to bring down enough force so the only options a person had were jumping away. Giving an opening for a shuriuken. Or blocking it which would still cause some damage.

Gripping his staff almost afraid of the situation. He jumped back giving him some space for this technique. Breathing in very heavily his adrenaline started pumping throughout his body. Running at his sensei and once mentor. He dug his staff in the ground and launched his body into the air. As he flew over top of her He shifted the staff to one end in his hands. Bringing all weight down onto Yuki-sensei's position. He prayed it hit her. This was his only shot to become a genin.

[If you're attacking with anything other than Shuriken or Kunai, post the weapon with the attack.]

Tenmoki's stone emerald eyes did not move from Karite as Hanabira entered the room. She took note of him gripping his staff and furthered her intense stare as she furrowed her brows to look almost aggravated. The boy jumped high up in the air and Yuki was sure that he could reach the ceiling if he really wanted to, but his posture and attack was extremely easy to read. Moving ever so slightly out of the way of the attack, Yuki didn't allow Karite's feet to hit the ground. Her open palm shot up against Karite's body moving agilely past his outstretched hands and into his chest. His staff hit the ground as the sound of her open hand against his chest hit at the same time. Karite would not fly back from the hit since Yuki did not want to use too much strength on the boy. Instead she merely stopped him in midair and then as she removed her hand, the boy would be able to fall to the ground. "Brash, uncoordinated and too many openings for someone going up against an enemy that has the intent to kill," Yuki scolded him as she put her hands on her hips. "Go outside and practice before you try again," Yuki told the boy as she turned away from him to face the little freckled faced girl.

"Hanabira-chan, rise and stand before me,"
Yuki said to the girl, giving her no special treatment and keeping the cold demeanor towards the young Yamanaka as well as the Tategami. "We'll test your skill. What will you be willing to test today?" Yuki asked her, thinking that genjutsu or alchemy would be on Hanabira's top list since the girl was always reading and had no physical strengths to speak of.

Hanabira winced the moment that Karite was hit with Tenmoki-sensei's open hand. Her instant reaction was to stand up and see if her friend was alright, but Yuki's figure and scolding voice kept her seated. She felt bad for Karite as Yuki tore apart his attack and told him to leave the dojo to practice more. As Yuki's voice targeted her, Hanabira's muscles tensed as she ordered her to rise. Hanabira did as Yuki asked and walked in front of the woman. "Mm," Hanabira hummed as she nervously thought which of her skills were the strongest. "Genjutsu," she blurted out, knowing that it was indeed her strongest skill and the one she would be most successful with. She hoped that Yuki would have her perform Henge since it was her favorite technique, but she did nothing and merely stood waiting for Yuki's instructions. Her olive eyes looked to Karite and wished him the best of luck in his training and hoped that he would wish her the best of luck as she stood before Tenmoki-sensei. She needed all the confidence boosts she could get.

Yuki nodded. She wasn't a specialist in using genjutsu, but she was definitely one is detecting it and releasing it. Going over to the table, the woman picked up Hanabira's file and began flipping through it, seeing which techniques were in her arsenal. "Perform Bunshin no jutsu," Yuki told Hanabira as she dropped the scroll on the table creating a loud thud noise. With her hands on her round hips, Yuki stood ready and waited for Hanabira to perform. If she were a merciful teacher, Yuki would turn her back and then examine the bunshins, but she wanted Hanabira to perform it just as would in front of an enemy who stood before her. Yuki's expression turned to stone as she waited for Hanabira to execute the technique.

Why was Tenmoki-sensei walking away from her? Hanabira grew more nervous as her former teacher picked up a scroll and began reading it over. Hanabira twisted the ends of her sleeves with her fingers as she waited for Yuki to say something to her... Anything! However, when the higher authority did, Hanabira felt as if daggers had chopped down her spine in half, which left very little spine, since Hanabira didn't have much to start off with. "H-hai," Hanabira answered with pure shakiness in her voice. Putting her hands together, she performed the seals required for the technique. Ram. Snake. Tiger. She did them at a slow speed before a cloud of dust exploded gently around her to produce another clone.

Creating Clone
DC: 20
1d20 + Genjutsu {15} = 30
Try: 1/1

CP: 25 - 2 = 23

Clone Technique [Bunshin no Jutsu]
This technique creates intangible clones of the user. The clones are simply illusions and will dissipate when they come into contact with something. The illusions can usually be seen through by the Byakugan and the Sharingan. A person with normal eyes can also distinguish the clones from the original, since the clones will not disrupt the area around themselves with their movement (won't kick up dust, crush grass, etc.). You use this technique to confuse your opponent in order to attack them more easily. The seals are ram, snake and tiger.
Cp Cost: 2 per bunshin
Damage: None
Requirements: Must be taught.
Special: If Clone technique is successful you may use sneak attack onto your following attack if it coincides with the technique.

[You didn't add your modifier onto your genjutsu roll. ALWAYS add the modifier to a skill when using it. Unless you are instructed otherwise.]

[Label what you are subtracting form your CP. That includes what you're subtracting from you HP as well. Should've looked like this:
CP: 25 - Bunshin no Jutsu [2] = 23 . You need to label, because when you reach a higher level, you'll be able to perform up to 3 techniques at once, so we need to know what is what.]

Yuki stood silently as Hanabira executed her technique. "Hmph," Yuki grunted as if in disapproval as she walked over to the girl and her single clone. Taking her open palm, Yuki shot her hand through the clone. "Very good," the woman said as she spared Hanabira from a hit. "How many clones can you make at once?" the woman asked Hanabira as she walked over to her table and sat down. "If you can make more than one, do so," Yuki told the girl as she lifted her emerald eyes to watch. "Also, what is your weakest skill, Hanabira?" Yuki said as she unrolled the scroll making down Hanabira's grade for her performance.

Hanabira's olive eyes closed the moment her clone was destroyed by Yuki. The grunt that the woman had given had given Hanabira thoughts for the worse, but Yuki had mislead her and praised her afterwards. Hanabira released a shaky sigh of relief as her sensei walked over to her low sitting table and unrolled a scroll. "I can make two..." Hanabira whispered and nodded when she was ordered to create two bunshins. Two clones of herself appeared on both sides of her once the small explosion of smoke lifted. "My weakest..." Hanabira thought to herself and immediately began to lose confidence once again. "Taijutsu," she admitted, knowing that her strength wasn't strong at all and her punch was the limpest thing ever thrown.

Yuki was very impressed that a graduating student could create two clones, but immediately she was unimpressed by Hanabira's choosing of her skill. "I beg to differ," Yuki said as she rose from her spot and stood directly in front of Hanabira. The woman placed a finger on Hanabira's shoulder and pushed her back. "Its your balance," the woman said as the small push would definitely cause Hanabira to stumble where she stood. "Your intelligence is your strongest gift and your genjutsu is your strongest skill. Utilize those as best as you can on the battlefield, Hanaibra-chan. As for your balance, it will hinder you if you are stuck on a land that is not level. Learn to use the balls of your feet and stand more proudly instead of shriveled up," Yuki advised her as she walked back to her table. "Take this to the weapon shop and Clinic," the woman said, handing Hanabira piece of paper. "You'll be allowed to choose a new weapon from Hamma's inventory and then Tenko will give you some items to help you on the field. She will then tell you to meet Natamo at the Lagoon, where she'll prepare your squad to take on mission together," Yuki explained as she sat back down at her table, waiting for her next candidate to enter. "Good luck, Hana-chan and make sure you visit me to learn a healing technique. By the looks of your chakra control, you'd be rather good at it," the woman said a bit warmly, her cold demeanor fading.
