Freckles walks over and looks at the glowing mushroom. {It looks a mushroom. A kind of strange looking one, though.}
((Ooc: For the cave description, see the first post. It's pretty much just a large, empty room with some scattered deer bones and stuff. No map required!))

The lone blue and yellow egg that still remained in the nest seemed not to be very active at all from the outside. In fact it didn't even move while all the rest of its siblings were busy hatching and exploring and learning about the outside world. But this little dragon was very much content to just stay were he was, the would outside seemed scary and he really didn't want to be around anything the would frighten him.
But he could hear from the outside the clawing of little paws and the small voices of the other little dragons. He would feel bad if he kept them waiting, so suddenly and without warning the egg began to rock back and forth. It fell on its side and then the top half shell cracked and fell away, revealing the little blue and yellow dragon inside. He adjusted his golden eyes as he looked around the cave, giving a few sqweeks but he didn't talk. He just sqweeked.

Khala raises her head, startled to see the egg Old Silverback had watched so carefully finally hatched. She extends her muzzle gently, not wanting to frighten the squeaking hatchling. {What's your name little one?}
(OoC: Let me hop on the mule. OS has some food prepared for Jabari, so I'd better RP the feeding of Jabari.)

Sforkok leapt straight up into the air. {It hatched! Emblem, Cart, it hatched!}
Cart stared at the mushroom. {Dunno...looks like some kind of phosphorescent mushroom,} he said slowly. {I wouldn't eat it if I were you; I ate a mushroom the other day, and at first it hurt, then I started seeing pink squirrel-like creatures with thin tails! After that, I saw ones in all other colors of the rainbow! Spooky...}

Old Silverback looks down at the little hatchling and offers food from his mouth to the little male. {Welcome, little one. Sforkok, don't you go eating any strange mushrooms like that. You could get sick.}
(OoC: Tomorrow afternoon or evening, PST, OS will have a brief story about the Godar dragons. It will explain where the other dragons are, so it is a major plot event for the dragons.)

The little dragon looked around at all the activity that was caused by him just coming out of his shell. He now wished he hadn't, he didn't like the noise. At the asking of his name he just stared at the other dragon, golden eyes showing confusion. He didn't know his name and he seemed unable to speak as well. He just Squeaked again. Then he noticed the food, he looked good and as he shifted from foot to foot he finally got up the courage to eat and eat he did.
He was a messy little thing and his face was covered with the chewed deer meat.

Freckles tears herself away from the fascinating new mushroom and gently pushes Cart aside. {Give him some room to breathe,} she scolds, {he just hatched! Poor thing. I'm sure he'll talk when he's ready to. Come, let's go see if we can find any more mushrooms in the cave! Maybe there are some around the edges.} She wanders off, well pleased with her newfound obsession.

Old Silverback looks up with a startled yelp. {They're much too young to leave the cave! Later, perhaps, when they're ready. But for now, they must stay here. Go, Freckles, look for more mushrooms. But don't eat any of them, that would be a very bad idea. You shouldn't eat things you just see lying around.} He says this last bit with a significant look at Cart.

Cart glared at Freckles. {Not the babies, you moron! The hallucinations I had a few days ago after eating one of those mushrooms! They looked like squirrels except they had funny eyes and their tails were much less fluffy! Honestly! I know what a hatchling looks like, fool! You think I'm going to mistake one for a hallucination-squirrel?! Sheesh!} He continued to grumble under his breath ((OoC: Wait, is this verbal or mental? The way they speak, I mean. BiC)) and stalked off.
Sforkok looked up at OS. {What're the mushrooms for, Grandfather?} she asked.

Madra had been a little shocked when she felt herself thump into something solid. So shocked infact she decided some more time in the safe egg was for the better.
But it was getting tight in her egg and she was getting hungry. So with another attempt at freedom, Madra was able to make a hole where her snout fit through. Well thats better then nothing, I guess.
(OoC sorry guys but evil college papers take up waaaaay to much time)

Cart turned at the sound of cracking egg. He saw a tiny muzzle sticking out. Ripping off a hunk of meat, he prepared it for the new dragon. {Hallo,} he said, dangling the meat above the hole. {Come on! Join the fun! Would you like some help?}
