Seamus stirred in the shadows, rousing himself from his light sleep. Life had gone on around him, as there were two new additions to the room. He eyed the girl closest to him, a fourth year. She was cute enough to peak his interest, and he was fairly certain she was a pureblood. Those two facts alone saved her from Seamus' boredom, and only by a smidge.
Waving his wand lazily, Seamus sent a shower of little sparks into the air above him and watched them dance down to the dungeon floor before disappearing. He wondered where his books were.

Already growing bored with his spark display he turned to the fourth year and said, " Well."

Makala jumped slightly when someone spoke to her. She hadn't even seen him nearby. She smiled slightly at him. "Oh, hello," she said. He was slightly cute...though not quite enough to interest her. But he was a seventh year. Always important to have the older ones on your side, she remembered her mother telling her before she'd gone off for Hogwarts in her first year. And he was a seventh year, at the top of the school. Definatly important to have on her side.

Seamus let out a laugh as the girl jumped. "Hello yourself. Gave you a fright, yeah?" This was more fun already. Not as much fun as watching Morgan fall out of the tree had been, but still. He pushed his dark hair back from his eyes and gave the younger girl a small smile. "What am I calling you, then?"

She laughed lightly at herself. She would have found it funny if it was someone else, so why not laugh at herself? "Yeah, a bit," she said. "You can call me Makala." She cocked her head to the side slightly, as if in curiosity. "And you are?"

Seamus nodded a little. She hadn't been embarrassed. She was alright by him. "Hottest thing on two legs, but Seamus'll do in a pinch." He tapped his wand idly against his knee. He considered going up to the dormitory, to read, but there were too many people around still.

Makala laughed again and rolled her eyes. "I'll go with Seamus," she said. "I've seen hotter things on two legs," she teased. She crossed her legs at the knees and examined him a bit closer than she had before, trying to see why he'd call himself that. She could almost see it...but not quite.

Seamus gave a mock pout at Makala. "Ohh my wounded pride." It would take a lot to dent his pride. Running a hand through his dark locks again, his eyes wandered the room, the feeling of boredom not yet relieved. What sort of trouble can I get into?

Makala rolled her eyes. "Oh how horrible, I've wounded someone's pride," she said sarcastically. She had the slight feeling he was bored talking to her, but shook it off. If he was so bored, why was he still talking to her?

Seamus drew his eyes back to Makala. Sassy. Interesting.
" Well, if you feel THAT badly about it, you're forgiven." His blue eyes sparkled in merriment. He hadn't sparred with anyone verbally in some time. The thought made him think back to Potions class. I wonder where Juicy is? He hadn't seen the boy in some time. He wasn't much for the sparring though, more of a take it quietly kind of person. No fun.
Turning his thoughts back to the present he said, "What're you into for fun, M?"

"Who said I felt badly about it?" she asked innocently, batting her eyelashes and laughing slightly.

Wait a minute...M? She'd never been called that before. It was diffrent, and seemed to make Seamus even more interesting. She shrugged. "Spending time with people...maybe cursing the occasional Gryffindor," she said in a joking manner, though she really did have the habit of cursing a a first year every now and again. "What about you, S?" Her own brown eyes were sparkling in amusement.

He let out a laugh at Makala's innocent look. She could pull it off, but he was beginning to know better. And now he'd even gotten his own nickname. Seamus shook his head a little. "Now you can't go around with that innocent look, cursing the first years. Gryffindor or no." The remark reminded him of the Gryffindor.. coupling? he had seen before. He was starting to think they weren't two headed at all, but two different people. But why any man would let a woman hang on him like a fungus, I hope I never know.

She raised her thin eyebrows. "I can't, can I? And just who is going to stop me?" she asked in a slightly joking manner.

I don't recall ever mentioning to him it was first years... she thought. I must be more careful... she told herself mentally. She put on her innocent look again. "And just how is it you know my first-year cursing habits?" she asked, her voice going sweet. She smirked. "Am I being watched?"

His brows gathered as Seamus considered what she had said. Hadn't she said first years? If she didn't, why would I have thought it. She must have. He sat, still and quiet for a moment, thinking. He usually thought about every thing that passed his lips before it passed, so this threw him. Why had he let his guard down?
Deciding not to aknowledge the latter remark, Seamus smiled slightly and replied, "Well I'm sure the Gryff prefects would have something to say on the matter, but I would never begrudge a lady her fun, especially when the fun is steeped in such a long tradition."
Still unsatisfied with his earlier remark, he added, "I'm sorry to say that I've never noticed you until today."

Makala scoffed and rolled her eyes. "And what's a silly Gryffindor prefect going to do about it? They can't even prove who it was," she retorted, almost a bit bitterly. She tended to get that way whenever a Gryffindor that had power over her was mentioned.

Jeez, calm down! she told herself. He's right, Gryff prefects aren't happy about it at all. I know that. Don't go taking it out on him. She smiled, trying to make up for her previously bitter attitude. "Well someone has to continue the tradition around here. It seems to have died out a bit."

He smiled boldly. "Not on my part. My father was Slytherin, and his, and his. And we take Gryff cursing very seriously." He had noticed slacking lately. Just today hadn't he seen a Slytherin and Gryffindor hanging out in the gardens? Plus, Juicy and that cute lass from Potions. "You know though, things have been...chummy lately, yeah?" He stretched, raising his arms above his head. This couch's pretty nice. I should get one for home. Though Da won't like anything new.
