[.Tsukiyomi.] Even though it's a strange name, I really did like Baralai. Not really the character as much as the name.
Nooj, Gippal, Sabin, Banon, were weird.
I really liked Yuna, Rikku, Wakka, (Him as well) Terra... there are more, just too many.
Okay, don't know if anyone has said these... wtf about Quistis? What is that? I mean, I like Quistis Trepe and all... but, no.
Then there is Blank. Uh.... Hm, come to think about it, I really like the name Quistis. Can you think of a better name starting with a 'Q'?

sepheth Yggdressel Kazuma Ishimaru wakka is a funny name to me. It makes me think of pac-man. Wakka Wakka Wakka Wakka Wakka Wakka Wakka ...... ..... Womp-womp-womp-womp-womp  Holy crap, your right. Now if only Wakka was round and yellow. you know why Wakka is a funny name... there iut is... Oh and the voice acter is Bender from Fururamma xp Bacsh's voice actor is Bloo from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. xd And I've got no clue what Puck's parents were thinking.

Really now, back up and think about it. Cloud, Squall, Laguna, Tidus, Sora (means sky in japanese). Someone at Squeenix's got an obsession with water and weather phenomena. But the name Tseng's always irked me...not really sure why. And how come in FFVII, everyone has names like Sephiroth, Cloud, Barret, Tifa, and Aeris and then there's Zack. Good old American named Zack...sometimes I wonder...

Ravenwolf Heero-perfectsolider-yuy Swee Heero-perfectsolider-yuy personally, I'd have to say Brother from FFX-2.. I mean come on! And Stan from FFIX.. i don't know, I found the name Stan to just be funny.. I cannot help it. You know how you can name Amarant? My sister called him Steve, so in the game everybody would call him "The Flaming Steve". xd Lmao.. I never changed his name in the game.. I didn't change their names at all though.. I try to keep the original names, it seems more normal that way.. but what you said.. that's amusing I never change them the first time through, but it's funny to name the main character a*****e so whenever other characters address him, it sounds like they're insulting him. =O I never thought of that! Thanks for the awesome idea! =]

How about Biggs and Wedge.
Just some odd little names....
not to mention the oh so common Cid. Really..what is it with the name Cid anyways? It's kinda like Zach...the only americanized name in any of the games.
Vivi....makes me think of some little kid talking to an aunt Vivian or something "AUNTIE VIVI AUNTIE VIVI!"

I'm not sure, but I think the names Biggs and Wedge came from something in real life. Something about airplanes...? I dunno. I wouldn't say Cid and Zack are Americanized, just... Normal. There are plenty of other actual names, though. Most of them just aren't as common. There's Garnet, Freya, Selphie, Lulu, Tina (Terra), Edgar, Vincent, Eiko (is a Japanese name), Rufus, Seymour, Fran (of course)... Plus minor characters and a good portion of characters from earlier games. Vivi... Yeah, that's why (I don't know which way is right) I pronounce it Vee-vee.
